Bhakshak
(2024)

Bhakshak (Predator) is not an easy watch but it is a necessary one
With the recent leave your brains at home escapism Hindi movies breaking box office records by mostly glorifying violence, sadomasochism and misogyny, I felt that we are heading back to the stone age times on sonic the hedgehog or flash gordon breakneck pace with no much scope now for any kind of mind progression, empathy or human compasion.

Thats why seeing this movie Bhakshak (Predator) felt like there is still a ray of hope for compasion and social awareness for mankind.

It's a movie well made that is difficult to watch for sure but it is necessary similar to the movie Gargi it stays with you long after you have finished watching it.

Kudos to the entire team and production house backing this project so that more movies on social awareness, helping mankind, being the change are made. These type are definitely not the leave your brains at home and watch stuff but they certainly are the use your brains and compasion and work towards being the chnage type movies.

Falimy
(2023)

if you enjoyed watching Jaya Jaya Jaya Hai then you will love Falimy
After watching Jaya Jaya Jaya Hai, Minnal Murali and also Mukundan Unni Associates whenever i see the name Basil Joseph associated with any project then it has my attention and I make it a point to check it out. Similar to all the above movies which you must watch in case you haven't, Falimy is a movie I recommend for sure.if you enjoyed watching Jaya Jaya Jaya Hai then you will love Falimy.

Good simple family entertainer, background score and songs that complement the scenes and a good cast which is always very important. Never a dull moment in Falimy (name itself will get you saying hey its a typo). A road trip Dramedy that will have you giving the thumbs up when it comes to an end. A recommended watch for sure.

Kaala Paani
(2023)

Kaala Paani, The Railway Men.. in case you haven't then do check them out on Netflix
Right from the logical dialogues to the acting, right from the beautiful Andaman location to the very good background score, each episode is made so well that when it ends it makes you look forward to wanting to watch the next one and seeing what's in store... Trust me each one keeps getting better, Kaala Pani is that complete package thriller, very well written story, good actors, good location, a series made by the The Viral Fever (TVF) Guys who are known for good content . I will be keeping an eye out for Posham Pa Pictures and the stuff they make going forward for sure.

Kaala Paani, The Railway Men.. in case you haven't then do check them out on Netflix for sure, you will.not be disappointed.

Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey
(2022)

don't let the title deceive you, please watch this must see movie
On my own just because of the whacky title I would have given this movie a skip thinking it's some leave your brain aside type of slapstick wedding themed comedy, I watched it on the recommendation of my brother and I am sure as hell glad I did because this move similar to the great indian kitchen, jai bhim, gargi.. is an absolute masterpiece, a true gem in movie making and one that you must watch without fail, it has everything that guarantees your invested time is not wasted, great acting, cinematography, editing, background score, songs, storytelling... and above all a great social mesaage that not only delivers but also keeps it light, a combination that is not easy to master but jaya jaya jaya jaya hai delivered and it did so triumphantly, two thumbs up πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ must see movie if you haven't already.

Avatar: The Way of Water
(2022)

A Visually Stunning Masterpiece
There are certain movies that should only be enjoyed in the cinemas for the full experience. Avatar - The Way of Water is one of those movies. Normally big budget mainstream commercial movies are loaded with CGI and we can tell when it's CGI heavy as well. James Cameron is a league of his own when it comes to science fiction action genre movie making. The attention to detail when it comes to character motion and facial capture is magnificent. The underwater scenes mind blowing. It's a long movie yes and probably could have been a bit shorter in its runtime but my teenage daughter, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie experience and we shall certainly watch the upcoming sequels in the theater 3D 4DX Experience the same way as we did The Way of Water. Take a bow James Cameron (one of a kind movie making genius) πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ

Gargi
(2022)

this one stays with you after watching it
Very well-made, good acting, cinematography, background score, a story about monsters but not in the way we know about. Do check it out, if Jai Bhim is among your favs then Gargi can also be added to those that are not easy to see but must be seen.

Ted Lasso

Gullak
(2019)

a must see family story told from the perspective of the piggy bank
A very refreshing series that showcases the stories in the lives of a family from the perspective of the piggy bank in their home 🏑 very nicely made, good dialogues, very realistic performances by the entire cast and crew, if you get a chance do watch this simple yet meaningful family series

Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story
(2020)

If you get a chance please do watch this very well made series
Scam 1992 is a very well made, good acting by the cast as well, they have done a lot of research and that hard work is evident, everything is on point, cast, acting, directing, story telling, editing, even the background score during the episode start credits is very nice with the animation illustrating the journey.

If you get a chance please do watch this very well made series, its definitely one of my all time favorites and hands down the best series of this year when everything that's happening is on an unprecedented scale

Hats off to Hansal Mehta and the entire cast, crew, production staff, editing team, everyone, brilliant work and may this series get all the accolades and awards as it is truly truly deserving of them 😊

PK
(2014)

Watch this movie
Aamir Khan is phenomenal as the main character of this movie in fact the entire cast ensemble of this movie has acted very well. this movie deals with a very touchy and sensitive subject in a very smart and humorous way.

This movie will make you laugh, it will get you thinking and at times even make you sad. Its well made and the screenplay, songs, background score all compliment this movie very nicely.

Trust me people whether you like Aamir Khan or you hate him do watch this movie for the subject and the awesome award winning performance by Aamir Khan superbly supported by all others cast members.

My favorite movie of this year was Rudderless then came Nightcrawler which i enjoyed watching at the movies and now PK which my wife Preeti and i thoroughly enjoyed at the movies today (where you should also go and watch this well made movie).

Great movie to end the year with and to take into the new year 2015.

Cheers People with warm regards, Sheldon Salace

A Wednesday
(2008)

Simply Superb !!!!!
Without giving anything away from the movie i honestly recommend " A Wednesday " if you'll haven't seen it already this movie is a well directed , fast paced movie , it has great acting by Anupam Kher , Naseeruddin Shah and the others as well Jimmy Shergill, Amir Bashir ... , but more importatly it shows the effects , impact , aftermath of terrorism in a very different manner i enjoyed watching " rock on " but " A Wednesday " is a classic , a hallmark movie , its a powerful film, they have made a movie that will make us think , I'm really happy that we are making movies like " A Wednesday " A Wednesday is not about the train bomb blasts, nor is it similar to mumbai meri jaan , the movie is about terrorism but its in the backdrop , this movie deals with something that comes across every other person's mind , when there is talk about terror being spread and nothing being done about it .. it highlights that A Wednesday works like a charm and will be liked by mostly all because of its gripping plot line and its pace. there may be people that may not like it but then to each their own , i'm just happy to share my point of view The movie, right from start to end on a fateful Wednesday, keeps you very interested Please do watch " A Wednesday " its a movie that will get you thinking
