In reference to the case where the uncle whos nephew owed him $900.00.for a floral arrangement. These were two articulant black males, and of course the uncle had more knowledge because of his age, although the nephew admitted that he was frugal. In my opinion, Judge Karen made the correct decision but she tried to embarrass the nephew by telling him that he needed to cut his hair. ( he was wearing a cultural nappy afro style) Mostly, we should to take our elders advice seriously but, in this case, it wasn't good advice and it had absolutely nothing to do with the case. As judges, we should respect and honor their opinions but, in this case , it wasn't wanted, needed, or correct. Judge Karen is contributing to some school systems not allowing some kids to take school pictures because they don't like their hairstyles, and it's not a coincidence that they're all black.
