Not Another Church Movie

Wodfix that free movie app definitely saved my $10.29. Celebration Cinema, why did you put this one out, I am so glad I left. They kicked me out because this one was AWFUL
My local Celebration Cinema, puts this movie out and heard this one was garbage, why did I snuck in for free and did not have to pay $10.29 at the concession stand, I pay for FURIOSA MAD MAX SAGA, you know which movie I did not pay? This one why? Awful absolutely Awful. 10% of the film was some humor but everything else was A. I, CGI, Dumb Sound Effects & Green Screens and I just think it is very controversial. I miss old parody films because it had that charm and humor, this modern version of parody, did not make any sense. Everything else was AWFUL. One of the employees from my local cinema said that I do not have a ticket for this one, but instead there is two options either 1. Pay $10.29 or pay one movie for a Sunday Discount for $6, or 2. Leave. I choose the second option because it just gotten worse in the courtroom scene when the judge and choir group are singing and I was like wow that was Painful. Like I was HAPPY that I did NOT pay for this. I got my stuff and left the movie theater, just like that, I left.

Apokawixa also known as It Came from the Water. Where does this film will be releasing in the states?
What if Covid-19 during the polish pandemic during the 2020 era, and a Toxic Contamination on the water polluted system the second half of the film would infected and turns to a virus breed of zombies? We get this type of indie Polish Horror film. This is actually my first Polish Horror film and personally not a bad job with the zombie designed and how they look like Toxic infection themselves.

it's been a while since 2018's PREY at NIGHT, This became a trilogy, Really I wonder why?

Force of Nature: The Dry 2

Stunning cinematography & landscape, but that's all I need to know
Whilst this movie did have "some" positives, overall, I didn't like it, and didn't enjoy it. Certainly, the cinematography was phenomenal and brilliantly shot across Victoria in the Otways, Dandenong and Yarra Valley ranges. In fact, I'd go so far as to say the stunning rainforest landscape is not only the integral character, but the absolute real star in this film. The story centres around five women who go on a corporate hiking trip deep in the rainforest, but only four return, each telling a different story and each of them all seem to be hiding something about their traumatic experiences. As it happens, the one who is missing is "Alice" (played by Anna Torv), and "of course", she's an informant to Federal Agents Aaron Falk and Carmen Cooper (played by Eric Bana & Jacqueline McKenzie) on a big money laundering case they were working on. When Falk receives a panicked, static phone call from Alice which cuts out half way through, Falk knew "she's in trouble" and needs help. Typically & predictably, agents Falk & Cooper are sent to investigate and try to get to the bottom of what "really happened" out there in the rainforest. As Falk and Cooper close in on the case, they uncover worrying details about the connections between all the other women, hence increasing the concern about his missing friend and informant. Of course, again, rather predictably, they're in a somewhat race against time to hopefully find Alice alive before "the mother of all storms" hit, halting the search, this has many problems beyond the awful title (Force of Nature) which is totally irrelevant and has nothing to do with the storyline. As for "The Dry", it's much more like "The Wet". Very, very wet!! The plot itself is weak with too much going on, and it doesn't hold your interest in the same way its predecessor did. In my view, despite some outstanding performances, especially by Eric Bana, it's a poor follow up to the first movie. Also found the movie and the narrative "way too confusing and over complicated" especially when it constantly flicks back to Falks painful memories of the past when (as a boy), his mother was lost in the same rainforest region many years earlier. The dynamics & relationships between the women are difficult and strained, with a whole mirage of complex inter- related and interpersonal relationships which I thought made it way more confusing than it needed to be. As for Alice, she's somewhat of a bully and quite unlikeable. This is a problem because I feel it leaves the audience not really caring what happens to her. Deborah-Lee-Furness's performance as the sensible "mother-like" persona in constantly preventing all the other women from killing each other & hosing down quarrels, was "ok", predictable, but nothing to write home about. Way too many side stories that lacked connection or substance. Clunky acting and shallow dialogue. Just had so much potential. The end was disappointing as was the overall feeling I left with.

Shawnee Smith (SAW FRANCHISE) her role as a mother reminds people that mothers in horror films do appreciate their sons very much. The premise is intriguing, with the killer's identity and motivations revealed early on as well as the sister shows up, stripping away the mystery that could have propelled the narrative. While the performances, particularly by Taryn Manning as Sam Marrin and James Gaudioso as Connor Cole, are commendable, they're not enough to elevate the predictable plot. The film's pacing is inconsistent, with a setup that takes too long to unfold and a climax that, despite its potential for excitement, is marred by dim lighting that leaves viewers squinting rather than shrieking. The twist of focusing on male victims is a refreshing change from the genre's norms, but it feels like a missed opportunity to delve deeper into the characters' psyches. "Bloodline Killer" tries to pay homage to classics like "Halloween," but it falls short of delivering the suspense and terror of its predecessors. The script's lack of subtlety and the film's over-reliance on clichés make it a forgettable addition to the horror roster. Is a film that might appeal to die-hard fans of the genre looking for a casual watch, but it won't leave a lasting impression. It's a middle-of-the-road effort that neither fully disappoints nor excites.

Excellent Crime Thriller, Francis Galluppi first feature film was brilliant. Confirmed the next director of the next Evil Dead film
Director Francis Galluppi first feature film was excellent, small cast of actors in one environment at the deserts of Arizona. I honestly believe this is better than Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, not many people liked and enjoyed it, there's a few people like me that did not cared of the movie that much. This tells the story about a businessman, two bank robberies and the waitress and a few other folks that came for the gasoline truck, right in the beginning that gas truck collapsed and truck driver did not survived. The tension is palpable, the atmosphere thick with anticipation, and the characters are as richly textured as the American landscape they inhabit. Galluppi's direction is nothing short of brilliant. He orchestrates the suspense with the skill of a seasoned maestro, ensuring that the audience is on the edge of their seats from the opening shot to the final frame. The cinematography is a visual treat, capturing the stark beauty of the desert and the claustrophobic intimacy of the diner with equal aplomb. The script, penned by Galluppi himself, is a work of art. It weaves together elements of dark humor, pathos, and suspense to create a tapestry that is both intricate and engaging. The dialogue crackles with intensity, and the plot twists are executed with such finesse that they leave the audience breathless. Through this 90 minute feature length film and a indie film, is a cinematic triumph. It is a film that not only entertains but also lingers in the mind long after the credits have rolled. With its impeccable direction, stellar performances, and a modern classic that will be remembered as one of the finest examples of American indie filmmaking and of course the script that's as sharp as a knife.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

Not very exciting and you just left disappointed
This movie was horrible. Plot made zero sense. The action compared to the other titles in this series was sub par. Mae lied that she couldn't speak then could all of a sudden speak. My notion was the virus made humans primitive and lose speech. However we see some humans with zebras acting as animals and Mae is opposite. With no reference or background on why this is. The king wants better for the ape race, however, Noah helps the humans get a chip to halt the advancement of apes. This movie was an abomination to the series, except War of the planet of the apes that did had a better story, plus it was nominated for must-see in metacritic don't waste your time. Overall, Really disappointing if you binge watch all the others and expect the actual plot to make sense with the others.

New Life

John Rosman's first time directing this feature indie film did a pleasant job and I do appreciate the direction of a virus contagious film
New Life is about this female name Jessica Murdock that has a a virus called embodia but it's actually called the Cytomegalovirus (CMV). This can be serious contagious because when one person had it then it can get worse to the next person that'll become the infection themselves. The lead performances by Sonya Walger and Hayley Erin are commendable, bringing depth and nuance to their characters emotional journeys. This is actually John Rosman's directorial debut (first film ever directed) is ambitious, showcasing his ability to twist common tropes into something fresh and engaging. The film adeptly handles themes of adversity, hope, and the human spirit's resilience in the face of life's chaotic elements that doesn't know about the virus until it becomes one. There was only a couple downsize to the rating. Despite its efforts to innovate, the film occasionally falls back on predictable thriller conventions, which may detract from the overall experience for some viewers like dog's death and the ending which we've known that early on why is Jessica carrying the virus and spreading to people that doesn't know they had it. This is a very short movie only 84 minutes and there are moments where the pacing stumbles, particularly in the transition between the thriller and horror elements, which could have been smoother. But if I can think of anything else, "New Life" is a commendable effort that stands out for its strong performances and the director's fresh take on overused tropes. While it may not reinvent the genre, it offers enough intrigue and emotional depth to warrant a watch. The film's exploration of life's unpredictability and the pursuit of redemption is both thought-provoking and entertaining, making it a solid addition to the thriller-horror landscape.

Free Time

This is a Average Indie film that did extremely well in Film Festivals
A film that foreshadows the Great Resignation in a funny yet insightful manner. Colin Burgess looks alike like (Ned Flanders) from "The Simpsons" is a wonder in this truly enjoyable film made up of memorable side characters and great dialogue!

This film ran for 78 minutes very short and starts off with Drew quitting and putting his 2 weeks in, the former boss was not happy, Rajat (his first role) his fellow roommate was talking about why did Drew quit his job and wanted to socialize more, he did just to get out of the house, he took 40mg of unperscriped medicine just so that he can get an hangover. He had drinks, food and spend about $100 that's when Kim Rajat Friend showed up out of nowhere. When Drew see his former boss, there is a rule, do not follow your boss because that's just creepy and hilarious. Drew did had a smoothie with a friend of Drew which to my acknowledge I thought it's a one time date but we don't see Drew friend again. When Drew, Rajat and Kim went to the party which is lame, he spotted (Jesse Pinnick) like I thought it's a going to be a relationship with the two well that only lasted for about 4 to 10 minutes, there was scenes of smooching but Drew interrupted the moment which that made me feel "well that sucked." When Drew was part of his band which he did talked about it, Michael hired a manager because he felt into an deep depression, and its only two scenes and that second scene Drew walked out of the band because of his piano that doesn't fit the music properly. Drew had a argument at his former work, his boss was NOT happy and very angry at Drew, 3 other co-workers left the company, that's when he was homeless (that did not last long) He eventually got hired from a new office job that will pay him well. After he was hired, Rajat said "where are you going?" Drew reply "work." That's when Drew's former co-workers are protesting Drew haha and thankfully he made it at a better environment, and film ends with Drew starts his new day at a new job and that's it.

A film about a young man's struggle on if life is a better journey to have a corporate career or to find his way as a creative independent soul/entrepreneur. A struggle we all can associate with when we are just starting out. A well written and produced film by Ryan Martin Brown (his first time directing) He did well for the first time Hopefully this movie will work its way through the independent film (indie) Industry.

ARCADIAN is better than The Fall Guy, more violence, more scarier and more right than stuntman dating a director
ARCADIAN is one of those films that is like hmm I might check this out on MAY DAY which that does exist. After watching this film I do have thoughts, when people saw this in other cinemas thank goodness I don't have this film in my crossroads mall theater by Farm and Fleet, three weeks later, yesterday I watched The TERMINATOR, today I watch ARCADIAN. I got thoughts about this when did this film became the scariest creatures as a monster horror can ever get? The cinematography shakes sooo good that the vfx on the creatures themselves looks demonically scary. Nicolas Cage is back was the thought that went through my head while watching his past films in my teenage years. ARCADIAN is a bit slowburn, But I would argue that it's the simplicity of the film that brings it to life. There are life changing messages throughout the film that are hidden beneath a great story and Amazing acting.

The Fall Guy

I did not find this enjoyable. The Nice Guys, Stay, US of Leland, Blade Runner 2049 & Drive were good Gosling films. This one is toned down for younger audiences.
The Fall Guy released on May 3rd, and one of the highest grossing and most highest ratings on any websites which 10% was approved and appreciated. 10% of Innovative Concept that brings a fresh perspective to the action genre, with its unique blend of humor. 10% of the film's cinematography is commendable, with some scenes truly capturing the essence of the narrative. Finally, 10% of the sound design/effects is immersive, enhancing the overall viewing experience. Now I did however find problems of The Fall Guy, the first was the plot falls into the trap of predictability, making the viewing experience less engaging. Second, the characters developement was a lack depth and their motivations are not well-explained, leading to a disconnect with the audience. Third, the runtime and how can be better for mature audiences like myself. The film suffers from pacing issues, toned down rating and some scenes dragging on unnecessarily while others feel rushed. Trimmed it to 20 minutes with good profanity throughout the film. Fourth was the Underwhelming Performances. The performances, particularly from the lead actors, are underwhelming and fail to do justice to their characters. Fifth was the Lack of Originality, because the film borrows heavily from other action films, resulting in a lack of originality. And finally, the dialogue is weak and fails to convey the emotional depth of the characters. In conclusion, The Fall Guy did had brilliance moments, the biggest problem was let down by predictable plot, lack of character development, and extremely underwhelming performances. It's a film that had potential but failed to fully realize it.

Tarot is the newest film that comes out The 3rd of May, which why was this a thing? Idk if I would see this Thursday evening at 8:15pm. 2/10 is acceptable because the horror is there but not enough supernatural like EVIL DEAD RISE was. I was predicted that this would have an unrated cut in the physical media release but maybe not or maybe because I would be disappointed, does this film is something that you'll run to buy for $13 ticket? No not for $13, when it comes out on Movie Downloader for free then yes absolutely. So here's the story of what Tarot is about: In the realm of horror cinema, Tarot" emerges as a cinematic attempt that ambitiously seeks to delve into the mystical and often chilling world of tarot card readings. However, despite its promising premise, the film falters significantly in execution, resulting in a final product that is less than enchanting. My First Tubi Original Film not a HUGE Cinematic Budget, Indie Horror is Different
This is shocking but the first film that does not have one Certified Audience neither all Audience score at all. Except two reviewers that put it out to the YouTube themselves. Lowlifes is The Hills Have Eyes meets Were the Miller's, The Were the Miller's type family are the cannibals and your rooting for them a ton while the other folks that served spaghetti and meatballs ate definitely going to be dead, yep only 5 of that family were murdered, 3 of the type Miller family are dead as well as the sheriff. So 9 kills of this film and are we grateful that one cannibal left of the family barely survived from a limping leg. Yep I cannot keep this spoiler free because DRUMDUMS stated that this is harder to do, which is why the spoiler review on the other half needs it for sure. The cannibal family loves blood and raw stuff even cooked delicious. Is the type of indie horror film that is not for everyone, if you have Tubi then I am happy, if not then really Rotten Tomatoes get your reviews straight. My rating 9.6 out of 9.2.

There is a lot of gross behavior to be seen and some have walked out of theaters. To be honest , I do not think early humoids acted thos way but it is still worth a watch . The music is very good behind the small cast actors. The bigfoot costumes are good too fully naked jeez this is for onlyfans exclusive bigfoot edition. 95% of people won't like, hate in fact. And I agree on many factors. It's pretty gross to watch and not a ton happens, though I think it's wrong to say there's no plot. It's just not a plot in the way we think about a plot. But things do change and stuff does happen over the course of the movie. If you want something very different and sometimes gross check this out. This was like me cussing the film on that road scene what did they do and why wasn't law enforcement could of kill them, only two saquatches were killed in this movie.

French horror film which refreshes the genre that is far too under-represented in France (at least poorly). Incredible soundtrack, well-held tension throughout the film. This Dozens of spiders thinking would you know what it is? This is the first time director that came out of nowhere that said. According to Sam Raimi he stated that You should be the next director for EVIL DEAD FILM next year which he is looking for a outstanding director that would make this film intense, yes this french creepy crawley 8 legged creature not just one but hundreds dozens of them that absolutely made me feel extremely intense. My body was wooah definitely good stuff.

Who doesn't Love Vampire Horror & Monster Horror
Well Critics with a Certified Fresh and Audience are loving this film to death because after a controversy of Melissa Barrera getting fired from Spyglass Entertainment due to a social media post about the conflicts during the Hamas war. (BTV) rated this film a 6.5/10 because it did had it's problems, on the other hand (DRUMDUMS) gave this film a higher rating than BTV did (Trapped on a Island) Wow everyone has their own different opinions between the two reviews I watched. When I watched this because every Tuesday is $5 deal. I went ahead and watch this. Let me tell you something the vampire effects was better than just your normal cheesy B-Horror vampire film. The teeth had a different form of becoming one of them. Remember the end of ready or not about these Satanic ritual people explode, good news the sunlight and sticks after stabbing they do explode amounts of practical effects they do have small amounts of CG but that's noticeable. Katherine Newton & Dan Stevens wow back to back after previous films like Godzila x Kong & Lisa Frankenstein, Rest in peace to Angus Cloud, his final film after "Amounts of Drug Overdose" Kev Durand looks like a bodybuild version of Elon Musk, but drew a wee-wee in the side cheek was, why is their a wee wee on your cheek? Melissa Barrera is outstanding performance and I think it took credits for sure.

In conclusion, Abigail was a good way to show Melissa Barrera's on how she does it right, Dan Stevens was good, I should watch "The Guest" sometime. This film did had a not very slow but when the gang are at the bedroom that's when the film's burst out the vampire monster horror extravaganza. What exactly what I should rated this $5 deal. BTV is 6½ out of 10, DRUMDUMS is Trapped on a Island. Hmm how about 7.1/10.

Apocalypse Now

Last year I starting to watch Apocalypse Now but it is the Workprint Version and I started it last year and did not finished this film almost a year later, oops I was due.
Apocalypse Now is an absolute masterpiece that deserves every bit of praise that it has received. From the stunning visuals to the incredible performances, everything about this film is top-notch. Here are five reasons why I think it deserves a 5-star review:

The direction: Francis Ford Coppola's direction is absolutely masterful. Every shot in this film is meticulously crafted to convey a sense of dread and chaos. The reason I started to watch the Workprint Version is because it has a longer scenes that were not in either cuts, surprisingly shocking but people were correct this is the most important film of 1979, famous director known for The Godfather films, but the Workprint Version Quality it is posted on YouTube which thank you, wasn't the best Quality and barely hear the music score, shot by shot scenes and boy was this film right all along. I was a year due for not watching the entire movie that's because the creator "Sunday Pancake Breakfast" did not posted, there was 12 parts made it shorter but at least I gave it a break for a while and decided should I finished this and today I finally did for the first rime in a year, the critics and audiences are right definitely a watch for sure. Anyway a solid 10/10 plaque movie of the late 70's which it did.

Trackman (2007) No one talks about it.
Trackman 2007 is about this suspects capturing three hostages from a largest Russian bank and entering the tunnel of a serial killer that uses a specific tool to grab someone's eye out, first of 20% of the film wasn't bad it did had it fun moments, It's very dark and couldn't even see which was expected. Trackman is a Russian Horror Film that tries it's best and unfortunately enough, 80% of the rest of this short 81 minute runtime was just disappointed, characters didn't made any sense, did not get to see a prequel of how the killer started these murders of Russian people, capturing them and pulling their eyes our one by one. This is a Direct-to-Video film that it's bad in many ways, story, writing and script was outdated, dialogue was definitely like really? What exactly did they went with? No special features to an Out-of-Print DVD release, that cannot be more disappointing it is a 2.1 out of 10, wow at least a refund helped a bunch it was only $3.40 at ebay. Unexpectedly at the beginning this is an Sony Pictures Entertainment Company called Monumental Pictures and 20th century fox film that was never seen in a GHOST House Underground DVD release, Not a 20th century fox home entertainment dvd release neither an Sony Pictures HOME Entertainment Release neither.

The only thing I learned from "Trackman" is-the Russians can make crappy movies too. Dubbed in English-it's like the old Japanese Godzilla movies from the 50s' and 60s' the lip movements don't match the spoken dialogue. The cinematography is ugly, the actors are ugly-even the girls-but Trackman turns out to be the best-looking of the bunch and his face is completely covered. A group of Russkies rob some rubles from the Vladimer Putin Savings & Loan and after taking some comrades hostage hide out underground in an abandoned subway tunnel. They walk and walk and walk and talk and talk and walk until they....gasp!!..run into the Trackman who goes after them one by one with a hammer and sickle(okay I made that up) actually he uses a pick-axe and after killing he plucks the eyeballs from the victim. Nowadays in a horror movie everyone seems to lose an eyeball or two. By this time in the movie I was hoping someone would pluck my eyeballs out. Two people escape but who cares? Something else I learned from this movie-when two Russians argue one tells the other to "chill out" and they call policemen "pigs". Trackman 2007, even know the film it's 17 years old. You'll probably not going to see it anyway.

History of Evil

Keep your expectations extremely low. This is not the best film but did had its moments not rewatchable
"History of Evil" boasts significant potential, drawing inspiration from Stephen King's "The Shining." The film excels in creating an eerie atmosphere with commendable cinematography and sound design. The actors deliver strong performances, enhancing the suspenseful narrative. However, the movie falters in its conclusion. The ending feels rushed and leaves many questions unanswered, undermining the buildup. Despite its promising start, the film's inability to deliver a satisfying resolution diminishes its overall impact. "History of Evil" offers a thrilling journey but ultimately fails to provide a fulfilling destination. Overall History of Evil literally has the same idea as one of my ongoing horror films. This is because of its small nature, cannot use the idea properly. The dystopic idea is quite intriguing, but past struggles, which is the main subject, cannot be exercised well enough. The kills were offscreen which reminds me of 80's slashers.

Venus
(2022)

VENUS starts off slow but the climax is when SOLAR ECLIPSE DAY happened
VENUS is a weird one to talk about because the fact of having Ester Expósito as the protagonist of Venus implies good advertising sales for it since the actress is a character that has grown exponentially in recent years within Spanish cinema. The quality of his performance in this film was complex due to the script but that does not mean that he did a bad job, on the contrary, he defends his role with all the energy and professionalism. The Horror atmospheric does not kicked in until a while but it's very slow so it may take a while to get there. This was a excellent film, the score of this film was the best part of the film. Happy Solar Eclipse Day (Watched it in 2023) This is one of the horror films that did not get an honorable mentioned in the best horror films of 2023. Which did came out in 2023, but in film festivals in 2022.

SCARIEST HORROR FILM OF 2017 AND PERFECT TIMING FOR SOLAR ECLIPSE DAY
This is my second watch today, without a doubt one of the EXTREMELY SCARY HORROR FILM OF 2017. Veronica although may not have those jump scares but still will keep you anxious throughout the movie. It is disturbing after watching the whole movie. And guess what. "It is based on a true story."Yes the movie is made by taking into account the report written by the police officer who was given to investigate the case in real life. After completing the case he was so disturbed that he resigned from his job just a month after finishing the case. I am sure this movie is gonna send chills down your spine TINGELING AND GHOOSEBUMPS on those scares. In one scene in the beginning "On the day of the solar eclipse lets just say April 8th 2024, her instructor explains how some ancient cultures used eclipses to stage human sacrifices and summon dark spirits. Very Dark and Brilliant.
