Lights Out: The Man with the Watch
(1951)
Episode 51, Season 3

Epically Bad Television
You almost watch to see how bad it can be. Well you'll be pleased cause it's really, really bad. Lousy dialogue which is far better than the acting. They forget lines only to realize that the actual lines would make less sense than the ones they try to make up. I actually dread watching everytime my husband turns it on. I think he secretly enjoys how bad these are as he spent his career in TV. He knows "live" TV is hard but even he is struggling to understand just how awful the stories, scripts and actors are. I would recommend that with thousands of TV shows out there to watch that you just skip this one.

Murder, She Wrote: Good-Bye Charlie
(1990)
Episode 12, Season 6

Now you know why pilots fail!
This was shot as one of the shows that where shot to allow Angela Landsbury a break from the fast pace of doing a series. Well if she was going to be absent from an episode this was the one to do it! It was shot as a pilot for an incompetant private eye (Bill Maher) and his girlfriend. Dreadful story telling, dreadful acting except on the part of the "guest" stars. You'd think Levinson/Link with their success with tv shows could have written one successful pilot to try out during these special Jessica episodes. Only the Law and Harry McGraw got a nod and (sadly for fans of Jerry Orbach and his character Harry McGraw) made it to full series albiet shortlived. Just skip this episode and don't look back.

The Orville: From Unknown Graves
(2022)
Episode 7, Season 3

Bored to tears
Yes, we got more money in the move from Fox. But the stories are tiresome (as they were getting on Fox as well). It makes me long for Kirk and Spock...Picard and Riker...Burt and Ernie, anybody else. We lost Norm McDonald ...isn't that enough to endure?

The Bill Tush Show
(1980)

Loved this show!
What a great memory! Would love to see this wonderful sketch comedy show again. It was simple in production values but had wonderful, rich and unique characters. Bill Tush (humorist and nutty overnight news guy for TBS) was the guy that centered this show. Talented writers Bonny and Terry Turner (SNL, creators of Third Rock and That 80's Show) created fabulous bits and characters that were played to the hilt by talented performers like the future famous Jan Hooks. Sadly this show disappeared along with TBS and the wacky Ted Turner tv universe.

Mannix: The Girl in the Frame
(1968)
Episode 24, Season 1

Good episode - lots of Star Trek folk!
It's a good episode. Something I noticed though, the painting the artist tries to pawn off on Wiliam Windom (Cmdr Decker in Star Trek) looks for all of the world like the doomsday machine that Decker drove into. Not seen anyone else mention this. Anyway, Mannix is doing what will be his last job for Inotek (thank goodness) and will be going out on his own in the next episode. He's hired to investigate a possible painting fraud ring that revolves around (of course) a beautiful blond. And drama and hiliarity ensue!

The Wilburn Brothers Show
(1963)

The Wilburn Brothers Show
One of the best of the early syndicated country music shows. The Wilburn Brothers were not only talented singers/musicians but they had a keen eye for new or up and coming talent. The show is presently re-running on RFD-TV (check your local listings). The discovered Loretta Lynn, Patty Loveless, Sonny James, The Osbornes (bluegrass legends) and featured everybody from George Jones and Tammy Wynette to a young Barbara Mandrell. If you like country music -this is one worth checking out! This show was one of the very first syndicated country music shows recorded/aired in color. It lasted 10 years and still holds up today. This is being aired as part of Willie Nelson's Act IV music library. Excellent - makes you want to seek out their albums and cd's!
