Dumb Money
(2023)

Worst music ever
Documentary was way better. This thing was hodge podge put together, not cohesive at all. Truthfully if you didn't know the back story or watched the documentary you would be totally lost. The awful music didn't match the movie at all. Big name actors that just phoned in their roles, especially Davidson. I only gave the stars to Paul Dano, he was the only believable one. The stories of the side characters could have been better, their personal lives weren't relative to the story. The best parts of the movie are the real clips and news bites. Plus the overuse of the mask stuff was tired and unessasarry.

The Chosen
(2017)

ImBD this page was hacked
Why have you left up the disrespectful graffiti and words on The Chosen main picture. What else has been happening? Ratings manipulation? Not an Amber Heard fan but her page got hacked as well.

Turning Red
(2022)

So boring
Felt like an episode of a tween Disney show, not a movie. Horrible music, the most annoying characters and talk about cliches. If you want to make a Disney hygeine movie then do it, don't hide it in double talk and disrespect for the people that are there to help you. No heart and poor message. Yawn.

Monk: Mr. Monk and the End: Part 2
(2009)
Episode 16, Season 8

Finally watched the finale!
When Monk first came out I made it til Season 5. If just began to fizzle for me, but had always regretted not watching the finale. So when it came back in reruns, I watched from Episode One to the end. I remember why I quit watching the first time, could not stand the Randy character. So cringe worthy. I only liked him in Stottlemeyers wedding scene, he was good. As for the finale, it was time to finish and we were ready for the big Trudy reveal. I didn't mind the whole poison plot, wipes haha, classic. But the whole "affair" thing didn't seem to fit. Not the story I thought worthy for the big build up. Should have been something involving Dale the Whale. Or at least Dale funding the judge in some way, some sort of link. I guess they needed a segway to the daughter to wrap it up. Just didn't jive.

But I did get emotional with the gift opening and Natalie was great in this. Never was a big fan of hers, but she did well here. Liked the final wrap up with the characters. Especially Stottlemeyer. His first wife was such a dingbat, I'm glad he got his happiness. He in truth was probably my favorite character in the series. Anyone who had that kind of patience with Randy and Monk was a saint. Monk. Was a wonderful character, exhausting at times, but as a fellow slight OCD person and several of them in my family it was a joy to watch, knowing exactly why he did the things he did. Thank you cast.

Mistletoe in Montana
(2021)

Soft light filter, really?
I like MJH, but the soft light filter was horrific and so distracting. Such a cliched movie. City Slickers meets Harlequin. The lead man was not good, his accent super over the top and the daughter was bad. Jamie wasn't too bad as well as the son. MT in winter haha, this was maybe early fall. I live here, no outdoor markets in December, no cold breath and Montanans don't dress that way ridimg a horse. Made us all laugh. Even at Dude ranches they don't talk like that either. Those rodeo belt buckless had me in stitches. So regardless of all the fake western stuff, zero chemistry, bad acting and lame story or lack there of. If you're looking for Holiday in Handcuffs, this isn't even close. Bummer was looking forward to this.

One December Night
(2021)

Not the best Hallmark Christmas movie, but the best so far in 2021
First off I don't like the musical Hallmark movies or the royals. They usually aren't the best of the lot, and I watch them ALL! The "only" reason I selected this was because of Bruce Campbell. We are rabid fans, not just of Evil Dead, but Xena, Bubba HoTep and all the others. Even conned my husband into watching, now that was saying something. He was like, "well if Bruce is in it, I'll try to stay awake." It was ok. Did like the different spins on aging, health, and a feud. Although, I'm sure this was taken from the Everly Bros. But most people that watch are younger than that story. Regardless, watched. Too many montages, not enough meat. Loved Eloise Mumford as usual, all her Christmas movies are on my yearly watchlist. Not as much heart as I would like, but it was ok. Although I gave a 7 rating (only because Bruce is in it), it won't make my yearly watchlist. If he would have slipped a little "groovy" or shop s'smart in there, would have added it. 2021 is full of flops, but this is the top of the heap.

The Christmas Promise
(2021)

Like you've got mail, only not as good
I like it's not the same-o Hallmark Christmas movie set up. Trying for a little more drama, less fluff. But felt so lack luster, no real feelings. The actors were ok, just zero connection to them. Sorry doesn't make my yearly watch list.

Crashing Through the Snow
(2021)

Miscast with Jeff, not believable
This one is a bit different than the cookie cutter of the usual Lifetime Christmas movie. That in itself is great. Don't fret the same-o patterns are still there. New love interest, a little conflict, a confusion, first kiss then make up. But this time it has an unbelievable story ofa woman going on a christmas vacation with her ex and his current g/f. No one in real life would ever do this no matter how much goading. The ex couple act more like college friends or better yet a woman and her gay friend. The man who plays Jeff is not a good fit for this part, he doesn't act like he loves either of the women, zero chemistry. The only real feeling I saw was when he was angry. The women did a good job, not really buying how nice either of them are to each other, but hey, it's not like they are fighting over the ex. The new love is classic rugged looking, he does good too. Not sure if it makes my cut of every year watch...

The Stand
(2020)

Nooooo
My favorite book of Kings, I'm in the SLK book club, hell even my first born's middle name comes for a King book. I so enjoyed The Stand mini series and was interested in this new take. This series is just like the many new ones that totally stink! I loved Mr. Mercedes and The Dome, but all tv versions since have been awful and don't get me started on the new IT. This show is all over the map, and who cast these people? Yaaawn. I still cry while rewatching the 90's version over the lost of characters and their struggles as well as the contempt for the "villions". Lot of funny moments as well. But this? I don't feel bonded to any of them, too many "stars" trying to overact. Way to ruin another one of my favorites. I will not watch any more episodes. C'mon Stephen how much more money to you really need? He complained so much over The Shining, they created a made for tv 2 part Shining to his liking, it sucked so bad. Thank goodness Dr. Sleep was good. He has so many great short stories that need to be made into movies, quick screwing around with this crappy remakes. You're ruining your own work for lazy asses that won't read your books and base your work on this crap.

Christmas She Wrote
(2020)

Pretty bad
Danica was great as usual, but Dylan was horrible! Fake laughing, curt responses, zeeero chemistry. I know the character was supposed to be that way in the beginning, but he never got better. The storyline wasn't too bad, a bit like a few others, but manageable. No heartfelt moments at all, or even a bit of comedy. Her assistant wasn't bad, but too cliche. I know they are trying to get more diverse, but c'mon. Not every gay may is over the top flamboyant. (loved the bartender) What they should have done was have a lesbian assistant that told her she didn't need a man or men in this case to enrich her career, get her published or follow them to their job location. Then if he was serious, he could follow her.

Homemade Christmas
(2020)

Wow, this is sooo bad
As we've all seen Hallmark and Lifetime have produced some real underwhelming movies for 2020. Less moving moments, really bad snowy scenes, etc. But this one is the worst so far. The acting is incredibly bad, and I mean every single character, horrible. The toy shop guys, wth? How do they have one shop let alone try for more. Never any customers, but fully staffed and no one knows anything! Bare shelves, no decorations, really? Hiring someone to decorate a tree in a toystore is an emergency when you have 4 people in the store doing nothing, with no customers? This one is all over the place, no focus, just cliches. I had to struggle through this in hopes in would get better, it didn't.

A Christmas Love Story
(2019)

Even the songs couldn't help this
The music was fantastic, especially the snippets from the choir. But for something that should have been so heart ripping, we get 5 minutes of the feels and the rest of ho hum. I usually like Kristin Chenoweth, especially in Deck the Halls, but just didn't think her and Scott clicked. Plus just didn't care for her in this, she's always so wrapped up in the music part, but the script just didn't help with the romance or her life. Sorry but not going on my lists of Christmas Hallmark faves. The last 30 minutes was really the only good part.

Christmas with the Darlings
(2020)

Another 2020 Hallmark Dud
I really wanted to like this as it's right up my alley with kids, Katrina Law, a little bit different, but was so disappointed with this. The main couple had zero chemistry, it drug on in many places, and for once I didn't care for Katrina's performance. I loved in in all the other Hallmark Christmas movies, but she looked like she didn't even want to be there. Very flat, zero emotion, and not the performance we're used too. Like the difference to the same-o storyline just no follow through.

Cranberry Christmas
(2020)

Was hoping for better
As a huge Hallmark fan, and of Nikki's since Awkward I've like all of her Christmas movies. Seen the male lead in some as well. Just didn't care for this one. Liked the fact the couple story was different. But just seemed to fall flat. All the other parts were too familiar. They had a chance to really make a different movie. How about some real couple struggles, not all stars, rich, etc. Just a thought. Really didn't care for the "Oprah" character, what was even the point of that? Another 2020 Hallmark fail in my opinion. Looking forward to more with Nikki though.

Deliver by Christmas
(2020)

Soooo boring
The cast was fine, acting not bad. But dang Hallmark so boring. I've watched literally every Hallmark movie and have even created a list in IMDB so I can see which ones I want to re-watch and which to avoid. Lots of bakery movies, I'm ok with that, lots of single/widowed parents, ok with that. Friends setting up, blah, blah, same pattern, we all know the drill as fans of the movies. But no heartfelt moment, the kid was a dud (except his little video), but wow just no real romance, it drug on and on. No cutesy moments. But it's par for the 2020 new movies, haven't liked one of them yet.

Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County
(1998)

I'm from Lake County, Montana never heard this story
Have lived here for almost 50 years, have not heard of this story or even seen the movie or heard of it and I'm into paranormal and horror movies. Hell I even belong to a paranormal group! Will need to research this story and try to find the movie to watch it.

The Lion King
(2019)

Just so so bad
Granted the CGI was phenomenal, but the voice selection, just horrible. No emotion in their voice, like they were just reading the script for the first time. Did anyone watch the original. My son watched the original so many times we wore out the tape. Was really looking forward to this. What a let down. The child actors very wooden, their singing was better than the regular lines. Scar was totally a fail. Not scary at all and his version of Be Prepared was just awful. The should have dubbed the animated audio to the live version and they would of had a hit.

Becoming
(2020)

BOOOOOOORING
Wow, drawn out and weirdly put together. I guess if you are in Netflix's back pocket you can put any thing on their list you want. Not sure why this was made, a day in the life or be in my shoes sort of thing. I guess if she had really accomplished anything it would have been more exciting.

Marriage Story
(2019)

Who are these people giving it such high ratings?
I only watched this because of Driver as I'm not a Scarlett fan. Wow, long, slow and boring. Waiting for it to pick up and it never did. Realistic divorce? How many people can fly home on a whim just to go trick or treating with your kid? These are rich people's problems. Actors, oy. Over dramatic, self indulged people, I see the realism there, I'm sure this is how Hollywood does divorce. People crying? Maybe they were bored to tears like me. I can't believe all the praise for this.

Christmas in Montana
(2019)

Meh
Another 2019 dud. This was not a good year for new Hallmark movies. Zero heart, poor script, so so acting. No touching, choke up moment. As some who actually lives 35 miles from the real Bigfork, MT we had a good laugh watching this. Maybe only one shot could have been from MT, this movie is filmed in Canada btw. There is no ranching in Bigfork, it is tourist lakeside town filled with rich snobby out of staters, not the good ol small town people that is portrayed. A ranch like that is next to near impossible in Montana, the few that look this are out of state rich people that are trying to turn our lovely state into crap. Most people wouldn't get most of this, either way the story is ho hum, even though I have loved the leads in other Christmas movies. I won't be adding this to my Christmas movie watchlist.

Holiday Hearts
(2019)

Meh
I absolutely adored Paul Campbell in Windiw Wonderland, but it seems like since then his Christmas characters have been so dull. This one is no exception. He seems bored, just going through the motions. No heart to this one, was it the writing or him. The story isn't too bad in this one, didn't care for the little girl actress either, a bit inexperienced and rushed. But the 2019 Hallmark Christmas movies have been overall a disappointment, this falls in that category. Bring the spark back Paul or skip the holiday movies.

You Light Up My Christmas
(2019)

Meh, but really liked Kim.
The actor that played Ben acted like he was asleep, very boring. Kim was awesome though, a little overacted at times, but wow she looks great!!! In fact best she has looked in years, not like the other plastic surgery friends. Being a big Facts of Life fan, great to see the old crew, well sort of, won't spoil that. Also love the Edna Edibles nod. Aside from that, the quirky friends were fun, but didn't care for the slow paced story, lack of honest heart, no touching, choking up moment. Sorry not going on my next year's watch list.

A Christmas Wish
(2019)

Cliche
Wow, not a fan. Zero chemistry between the two leads. Supporting actors just bad, over acting. Nothing feels real, lots of forced emotions. Supposed to be magical, really missed the mark. Loved her in Naughty or Nice, funny and real with that one. Not going on my next years Christmas watch list.

The Christmas Club
(2019)

So far the only 2019 Hallmark worth a watch
Love these two together, very real and funny. An honest, not forced romance. Not a totally original story, follows the Hallmark playbook to a tee, but I still liked it. The kids were cute not overacted as well as the supporting actors. One of the few movies that makes you laugh. Going on my next year's Christmas watch list. PS Love Elizabeth Mitchell in everything.

Cherished Memories: A Gift to Remember 2
(2019)

Another meh 2019 Hallmark movie
I liked the first one, not sure it needed a part 2. The actors must have lost some of their acting skills since the last one or their passion for their characters. They are a bit wooden, except for the over the top well spoken little boy. I liked him even though he wasn't very believable. Only one awww moment. I watch every one of these movies and this won't be going on my next year's watch list. Pretty much a non story.
