When I first found out that this was a story revolving around another hockey player from Canada, I thought it was just another hockey story. Then I was sitting at home one night with nothing else to do, and CTV was re-airing it, so I decided to sit down and watch. And how I was blown away.

I'm not one for that much hockey (sure I'll watch the play offs and everything like a typical Canadian) but this story just sucked me right into Sheldon Kennedy's conflict. It really isn't about the hockey, but that of a young boy who was abused by his hockey coach for numerous years. After a spur of the moment marriage, he comes out about his secret to his wife, and he must then try to control his anger and grief about what happened to him as a boy. The story continues on, and you will be swept away by the magnitude of Kennedy's message and story. One of the best mage-for-tv movies I've ever seen.

I've been watching this show for a few years now, and is it ever loaded with great information. Intertwined with comedy and a lot of commercial parody's, this show is great. Watch it for the information, or watch it for the comedy, either way this show is fantastic and unique.
