Hudutsuz Sevda
(2023)

Started really good....
It's kinda good especially the first few episodes BUT they could've explained why Asiye Leto (the annoying Mukaddes in Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?) talks like she has a bronchoconstriction? Or Asthma? Or any chronic lung disease? She talks like a very old woman gasping for air.

The series is tense but the writers should think of a more compelling story or twists as it's becoming repetitive violent scenes, with continuous killings within the family and between different factions.

Good characters, good actors, engaging but repetitive.

Nonetheless, I'll hold on to watching this one as there's not much turkish tv series out there that is really worth to watch, except for maybe 2 series.

Story is like it's not going anywhere
Much like every other turkish drama series, this one uses the same formula to create a story, a chaotic problematic big family drama = families, parents, sons, daughters all living in the same house even if they are already married and have their own family to live, squeezing all the characters into one house to create a tale of love, hate, quarrels, jealousy, and all the pandemoniums.

Like most, this series was exciting in the beginning until episode 14 when the writers directors actors started to decide to make dramatic scenes that looked more like a comedy.

Not sure how this series will pan out but it seemed like the writers don't know where to take the story to another level - EXCITING level. I'm starting to get bored with so much unnecessary scenes.

The character of the lead male is unstable, and so is the female lead. The ex-wife renders some comedic relief or perhaps it's turning the supposed drama into comedy, I'm confused.

I know that the two lead stars are husband and wife in real life but I find it hard to get their connection in this series. Characters are not convincing.

Camdaki Kiz
(2021)

A series in very slow development
And just like that, the old witch got vindicated without excitement! What kind of retribution is that? I was expecting a drastic, momentous, applaudable consequence to her evilness, but no! The writers gave the selfish wicked woman an honorable escape.

After waiting for a long long long time for the punishment to arrive, my long wait is just a huge disappointment.

I like the story itself but it kind of pulled me into watching it. It's different although very slow.

An abusive old woman, a grown up daughter the subject of the old woman's harrowing, her stupid husband whose erotic fantasies is satisfied by an older woman.

Every character in this series is hiding a secret from each other while all of them are hiding in unison a secret to the female lead character.

Acting is good, it's just that the aim of the writer is unclear. Audience deserve to see the bad characters in this series to get that long-awaited retribution, something that I will applaud. It doesn't seem to come. I'm disappointed.

Not bad but
It's actually worse than bad. It's glorifying old traditions of women's silence when it comes to deciding for themselves, their marriage, ad their choices in life.

The father of the two girls is a torture weapon. I am not sure if his character in this series is accurate or he's just acting awkward or simply overdoing it.

The Halis is probably a lonely person with bad experiences in life that he puts too much pressure in the whole family. Should that be a good acting? I don't know. But I've seen some of his old series and he's a good actor.

Meanwhile the young boy, yes he is a young boy acting like a young boy and the character portyal itself is that if a young boy. Too pretty-acting for the role? I may be wrong or porbably that is his brand of acting but it's sometimes going to the cringe. This boy is a potent poison, I can't wait for Seiran to find her freedom and finally leave this egotist uncontrollable boy, wishing very much that that would be the ending.

I want to stop watching, giving it 2 more episodes for something interesting that might happen.

PS ok I'm done. Became unbearable to watch. The male protaginist with his annoying laugh, smirks, smugs, became the antagonist who became excessively a control freak, controlling both his wife and his girlfriend. I no longer understand. The director perhaps thought about giving him a push in his acting so he decided to direct his acting into shouting, screaming and anger thinking that it is the definition of good acting. Very bad acting.

Not the worst, but just as bad as others
Story of continuous lies and deceit, male domination and female submission. Story of an egoist man, a weak woman, the weak woman and her family taking advantage of another weak man, and an actor whose acting skills ressembles that of a fish taken out of the waters. That's just it. Nothing really very interesting, more of annoying characters like most every other turkish series.

I'm confused if Cemal - the lead male character is a protagonist as he seemed to me more of an antagonist to be hated, with his antagonistic demeanor and character in the series. The lead female character is also annoyingly stupid with the same sluggard sullied acting much like in her other tv series. The main formula of this series is entirely the same as most turkish TV series = that is, to annoy and instill anger to the viewers.

Sadakatsiz

One of those good turkish series
This series has a good story, nice flow, good acting, just the right characters without the unnecessary ones. Lead characters are really good as well as supporting ones. Cansu Dere is a good actress, perfect for the role, the character is well acted and very suitable. One of those easy to watch without even questioning yourself why you're watching it or why this and that is happening, it's flawless or at least less of the stup!d stuff ever present in most turkish series. No giggly romantics just realistic scenes and it's still interesting and full of surprises and twists. Love it!

Terrible series
If screaming at each others faces can be defined as acting, then all of the characters are instensely acting. Such a stup!d story remotely distant from possibility in real life. It's like watching a mexican telenovela or even worse. Heavy with drama with characters angry all the time and I mean all the time. Plot not interesting at all.

Fazilet Hanim ve Kizlari
(2017)

Very bad! Seriously bad TV.
A scheming poverty mother who invaded the mansion of the rich, worked as a housemaid and took her 2 daughters with her, disturbed the peace, and wreak havoc in the mansion, and acted bossy inside the house and destroyed the lives of all including her own daughters. Not even remotely to ever happen in real life. It's full of insaneness and too unbearable to watch. Terrible acting from the lead star, Fazilet's acting ranges from mock-up crying to shouting to nonsense screaming all the time, and I mean all the time she enters the screen, no whisper, no normal speaking, just crazy annoying screams, coupled with the absurdity and madness of the 2 daughters. Seemed like everyone has anger management issues. I got confused if this is a drama series with comedy or comedy with drama, either way it's a terrible show intended for gossiping middle-aged housewives cleaning carpets every afternoon at the balconies.

15 minutes
15 minutes is all I need to see of the first episode to realize it is an ensemble of the worst actors in turkish series whom I have seen in other tv series with the same bad acting. It's like listening to a radio novela or drama and the visual did not even help. Skip skip. Just a waste.

Baraj
(2020)

Classic example of a telenovela where everything and anything can happen.
It has a good storyline but really stup!d portrayals of characters. They made everyone clueless or dumb about what's happening around them where everyone is a victim of someone. Like someone said in the reviiew here, it is a show for people with low IQ, nothing seems logical. It's a story of never-ending revenge. They could have ended this series after episode 18, perhaps resolving all the issues upto epi 20, then The End. That would be satisfying. But no! They've extended it, played with twists and irrelevant scenes and subplots, making it really really messed up. You, as a viewer, may get confused on who to side with. Protagonists becoming antagonists and vise-versa. It's getting more and more confusing and genuinely stup!d as it progressed towards the ending episodes.

BUT it's quite entetaining only IF while watching it, you'll be pretending to be dumb and stup!d at the same time, then you might enjoy it after all.

Kardeslerim
(2021)

There's a story...
... but extremely stup!d, that's all.

Watchable but it is one of those turkish series that make the viewers angry at mostly no logic scenes. This series is intended for kids and entertainment for mothers, a respite from their daily bulk of laundry and household chores.

After watching up to 47 episode:

TRUST ME, should you insist on watching this series, just watch the first and last 15 minutes only of every episodes, I did, and you won't miss anything. Everything in between are just cats fight, the annoying Sengul plus the super boring romantics of Ouljan and Harika. That's all there is in this series. You can also watch it on 2.0X speed.

The excitement, if at all, is that all episodes ends with someone getting hit by a bullet, stabbed, someone's head hitting a pavement, falling from some floors of a building, getting hit by a car, etc - - - practically all episodes end with someone getting hurt or killed, those were the cliffhangers.

This series could have been finished in 7 episodes max. Nothing interesting tbh.

Nonsense series
It's nothing but something that kids who love playing gore-type, violent video games. No interesting story, just boring predictable scenes. Bad acting, cinematography is a joke. Watch it and you'll easily forget it in few seconds after.

Red
(2021)

It's an over-acting, over-dramatic version of the original.
I have seen this movie halfway before reading a review that it's a remake so I stopped and proceeded with the original version instead.

I would say this one is just an overdone version of Thadam. Overacting, overdramatic, over enhanced but never better than the original. I preferred Thadam over this. It is simply like a counterfeit version.

The Green Inferno
(2013)

Horrible movie
Acting abysmal.

Story stupid.

American kids meddling with other country's affairs. Blah blah and... gore follows.

Ögretmen
(2020)

An exceptional series for Turkey TV!
First of, Ilker Kaleli is an underrated but a great actor. I had no better expectation about this series. I thought it's just another one of those turkish classroom setting with kids and their classroom drama. I was totally wrong, very far from my expectation.

Gripping excitement, suspense, good acting from the main characters as well as some of the younger cast. Very engaging scenes and cliffhanher endings, that you do not want to stop watching until you finish the whole series.

This is not one of those usual ordinary 2-hour long turkish soaps of romantic base and baits nor family dramas nor cheesy slash corny romantic comedy stuff. This has so much social relevance and message where everyone and every character may turnout the villain from being the hero and vise-versa.

It is not a typical turkish show, it's different. Fantastique show!!!

Alev Alev
(2020)

One of the BEST turkish series!
Not sure why they did not cast those really BIG stars, or rather those we got accustomed to watching BUT I can't explain why it worked out really really really good. Viewers don't get distracted with casting super good looking male lead actor from concentrating on the story. It is somehow keeping the story more realistic rather than romantically giggling.

Alev Alev is truly fantastic, great story, build-up of excitement is constant and solid. Cast of actors are excellent, acting-wise superb, esp. The guy who portrayed Celebi, wow! He doen't have to shout or say a lot of words, the face and eyes speaks of evil - no movement required. Perfect casting, well, hmmm except for the guy who portrayed Bulent, he's kind of like a newbie.

This series is so worth watching, edge-of-your-seat suspense and I really like that they shoot the series around the real neighborhood of Istanbul.

Excellent excellent excellent!
