The Noel Diary
(2022)

If there was an 11 I would score it that
Absolutely beautiful. I'm in floods of tears. The acting: top notch (unlike most of the regular Christmas movies). The music & the scenery: divine. The story: not at all like the regular Christmas ones-it was very unique & heartbreaking. I wonder will they make a part 2 next year. From the director of Father of the Bride: so you know you are onto a winner. I can't recommend it enough (the only thing is I had to take a panadol as I cried so much). If you are going to watch a Christmas movie this year, do yourself a favour & watch this one. I won't spoilers (as really it would just....well.....spoil the viewing!!)

Stranger Things
(2016)

Just like the others..
Good-but just like the other seasons really. I just finished it & I thought it might come to a conclusion but no....so there will definitely be a Stranger Things 5. I wonder how long it will go on-it will be like Jaws or Halloween before we know (ie too many sequels)

The Invisible Man
(2020)

Fantastic
It's been years since I've seen such a fantastic thriller. With a genuine "oh my god" reaction! Fantastic. A thriller with a bit of a top of the range special effects. Brilliant acting from all but special nod to Elizabeth Moss. I can't recommend it enough-I can't find any fault whatsoever with it & it's been YEARS since I said that about a movie. Well done to all in the making of it!

The Nest
(2020)

I gave it a 7
Yes good movie with great acting-each of them, very natural. It's a drama more than anything. BUT the ending is disappointing, it just finishes..and you have to sort of make it up yourself to a certain degree. But I would recommend it.

Don't Look Up
(2021)

Only in America
You most definitely have to be in the frame of mind for the absurd, mixed with the stereotypical American style of satire & you've got yourself a funny movie. Otherwise, it's the worst movie ever & you won't believe how big stars such as Meryl Streep & Co even starred in it.

Luce
(2019)

It was very good but confusing
Brilliant acting all round. Very interesting storyline. BUT it seemed to tease/suggest answers rather than just simply answer. So when it's over you are just left confused & disappointed. Shame really as it was a good movie.

Maid
(2021)

Watch it...just watch it
Fantastic in every way. A look into the lives of decent people who are just unlucky in life and who against all odds get up each day & carry on & try to makes things better. Fantastic series with outstanding & natural acting from all but special highlight to Margaret Qualley.

Risen
(2016)

Very good!
Would highly recommend this movie.....even if you are not Catholic or religious, it just makes you want to believe that miracles can happen.

Ben Is Back
(2018)

Fantastic
I would highly recommend it. Julia Roberts: amazing.

Downton Abbey
(2019)

Loved it!
Didn't think I would but I did! I hadn't watched the full series but I watched the majority of it. But this movie was lovely & I would highly recommend it. I bet the writers producers etc behind The Crown got their idea for their series from Downtown Abbey.

Fear of Rain
(2021)

Its a good movie but very stressful to watch
The girl in it is a fantastic actress-can't remember her name right now but the main character. But Katherine Heigl...dreadful...she really didn't have to play her character so fake. But the experience of living with Schizophrenia is very real & I felt it quite stressful to watch-I'm actually sorry I didn't turn it off because really it wasn't worth it to experience that stress.

Grace
(2014)

A different take on a possession
I thought it was pretty good. Very unusual to see "things from that side". Would recommend it.

The Intruder
(2019)

Denis Quaid makes a good deranged man
This is Dennis Quaid's movie - he reminds me of The Joker & Jack Nicholson in The Shining (completely deranged). Good enough movie..

Believe Me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey
(2018)

Absolutely fantastic
Just watch it. Brilliant. And based on a true story also. Can't say enough about it.

Brightburn: Nature vs. Nurture
(2019)

Excellent
A lot of gore! But very good movie! Definitely would recommend it.

The Block Island Sound
(2020)

Yes it's drawn out but the ending is very interesting
Yes it's drawn out but towards the end & the ending it moves up a couple of notches and it ends up being quite interesting....so I would say Watchable. Acting not too bad.

Wildling
(2018)

Watchable
Liv Tyler is a dreadful actress I have to say. All I can say about it is...it's watchable. Had potential but lost it. Wouldn't particularly recommend it but I've seen worse so again.....it's watchable.

The Switch
(2010)

Loved it!
Lovely movie & great acting all round! I really can't fault it. A sweet lovely movie! Would recommend it.

Dark Places, Deadly Illusions
(2021)

No 4 in Ireland on Netflix-WHAT
An absolutely ridiculous movie...How can it possibly be in the No 4 slot of the most watched movies in Ireland on Netflix.

Let Me In
(2010)

Very Good!
It reminds me of The Twilight Saga but the characters in this movie are younger & it's more or a horror movie. I had heard about this movie before but only watched it this evening. Would recommend it for sure. A sweet little story mixed with horror.
