Blood+ (2005)
Beautiful!
Commenting first on the art, this series is luscious. The colors are vibrant and moodsetting throughout the episodes. Detail is everything and Blood Plus has it in spades. If looked at purely for graphics, this is one of the few truly gorgeous animes out at this time.
From a plot stand point, the series faithfully follows the characters superbly inre their development as time passes. There really aren't any gimmicks or quick shots. Character personalization, which is often lacking in many animes, is delivered here. Episode to episode, they reveal depths undreamt of when the characters are initially revealed. Chills and goosebumps abounded when I watched for the first time.
For me, this was an anime that was enjoyable the first time through and definitely has the ability to be watched over and over. Each time, new levels are revealed as you focus on different emotions brought to the table in a lush and thought provoking manner.
Watch it for the psychology or watch it for the shallow surface which covers the true depths. This is not an anime that disappoints. I absolutely loved it!
