Faith's Song
(2017)

Just like the world around us.
Sad to see some of the commentary. But it's understandable. Just like the uncle's character in the movie, so there are in the real world.

This is a movie you have to try and look at through spiritual eyes.

It's not what you see. It's what you don't see. And if you don't want to see, you miss age the message.

Just about everything that happened in the movie, I have seen in almost 70 years on this earth. ESPECIALLY the loss of loved ones. Faith does serve to make you stronger. And there are many things that happen in our lives that are difficult to comprehend. I am a firm believer that God does give the strongest trials to his strongest warriors.

The fervent prayers of a righteous man availeth much.

THIS, I do know.

The Spirit of Christmas
(2015)

Always enjoy this great movie.
We love it. We have it on DVD. And every Christmas season we watch it several times. Not going to spoil anything for anyone. You have to watch it and see for yourselves. All the characters bring something to the table. It's fun to watch their interactions. The story has all kinds of twists and turns and keeps you intrigued. The scenery is enjoyable. Just watch the movie and judge it on its own merits. Even the ending, which can confuse some people, is both logical and entertaining at the same time. The movie leaves you with a good feeling about all of the characters involved.

Time to reflect on our own emotions and actions.

Enjoy.

Nowhere
(2023)

For the "What if" crowd.
We've had "what if" conversations at home and what we could/would do under the circumstances. This film may seem outlandish, outrageous, or unbelievable to some of you. Don't look at it that way. The film is more about self preservation, determination, and fighting to survive.

We've always used the term at home that "necessity is the mother of invention". This film shows that ingenuity overcomes many obstacles. Time and time again we can find an answer or a solution to a problem if we just try. But we sometimes give up hope to easily.

Look at this movie in a positive way and see how much own spirit and determination can use a boost sometimes.

AKA
(2023)

I loved it.
To each his own, but this one was a movie that I really enjoyed watching. Intense thriller. Action everywhere. Couple of twists and turns here and there.

Like other reviewers have stated, the big motion picture companies need to pay attention to how the little guy can put together a pretty decent flick. I'm intending to watch it again pretty soon.

Take the time and make an effort to watch the movie. Forget the lofty expectations. Just sit, relax, and enjoy. That's the reason why we do stuff like this, right? I've already sent the movie info to other family members and friends.

How you like it.

Misanthrope
(2023)

Just enjoy it. I did.
Whether you're on one side or another, or whatever, just sit back and watch it. It's not a documentary, or an expose..... It's a m-o-v-ie. Jiminy Christmas. I see people here using words in their ratings that they don't even know the true meaning of. Honestly, this movie is a microcosm of our world today. A very scary world.

For crying out loud. Doesn't anyone watch a movie for enjoyment anymore? Sit back. Relax. Watch it with an open mind. Honestly, this can happen anywhere. At any time. Listen carefully to the last caller to the television station. You just never know.

Anyway, WE liked it. I hope you will too.

You're Not Alone
(2023)

Okay.....
So some of you hated it.

Academy award winner? No. Far from it. But here's a tidbit for the haters: It's a m-o-v-I-e.

A few gaps here and there, several facepalms, a head slap or two accompanied by the occasional groan. But still entertaining enough.

As far as we were concerned, we did t have any problems with and watched, as was our prerogative , the entire movie. Sometimes you just want to sit and chill, relax, have a snack, and watch a flick. Watching the agony of a major player as he watches what's going on helplessly at 30,000 feet is pretty intense. And what really hits home is that with our technology nowadays, his predicament is believable.

Interceptor
(2022)

It's a moooovie. Calm down.
Laughing at most of these ratings. Why? Because some of them take themselves and this movie way too seriously. You guys need to relax. Unreal? Maybe. Outrageous? Perhaps. Doesn't follow "military" protocol? Yeah. But still, it's just a MOVIE. Something you sit and watch when you have time to kill as you chill. Oh, and the use by some of you of the "woke" term is not only unnecessary, but very telling.

Do You Believe?
(2015)

Look deeper than most other....
It me this long to see this movie. Longer than it should have. Yes, it's a faith based movie. Yes, it has situations that may seem unrealistic to some. But that is not the point. It's sad to see some reviews that try to analyze faith. Let it go and watch the movie. Your faith will let you see what you need to see and receive what you need to receive. Based on MY life and things that have happened in it, my response to people has been this: When a Doctor tells you or a loved one that they can't explain or understand what has happened, it's not for THEM to explain. Simple as that. Enjoy.

Miracles from Heaven
(2016)

Good each time.
I have watched this movie twice. It is good for the soul. This review will be a short one. There is nothing more uplifting and satisfying and healing than to have a doctor look at you and say he or she can't explain a recovery. I have had several situations like this in my lifetime. I have had a specialist come to me and tell me that they cannot understand how a family member is still alive after being considered a dead man walking. When doctors cannot explain, it is not for them to explain. I understand sometimes that people have issues with the purpose of a movie, or it's message. Because belief is not for everyone. But if belief is not for you as a rater, then don't malign what you've seen. It's probably not for you to understand.

The Water Man
(2020)

I liked it.
Some of you have some unrealistic expectations. And your comments show it. Watch the movie with an open mind. It's not always what you see. I read the commentary before I saw the movie. I decided to just watch, follow, enjoy, and not judge.

It worked. IT'S A MOVIE. Plain and simple. The ending will explain some of the confusion some of you appear to have had.

The Glass Castle
(2017)

Intense, but necessary.
Not for young people (sub-teens), as it can be intense. But I enjoyed this movie. One of the few Woody Harrelson movies I liked. This is a story about survival, perseverance, and rising above all obstacles. It should serve as a symbol that people can overcome. If they just hang on. Guarantees? No. Hope? Yes.

The Unforgivable
(2021)

Patience is indeed, a virtue.
Why the hate? Actually, I rather enjoyed it. Sandra's role was that of a survivor. And continued to do so after getting out. Sometimes we expect too much "reality" in a movie. Make some popcorn, sit back, and relax.

A Christmas Miracle
(2019)

An interesting story.
I personally liked it. The storyline was interesting and it had a positive note throughout. If you go into the movie without high expectations, then you won't be disappointed.

Appalachian Trial
(2004)

Watch with an open mind and an open heart.
Hollywood? No. Cannes? No. And if you have high cinematic expectations, you may be disappointed. But if you take in what's going on, and apply some of what happens to your own life or that of others you know, it just might touch your heart. Just sit and relax. And pay attention. I know I did.

Out of the Wild
(2019)

From start to finish.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Well played. Just one of those movies that reaches down into your soul and reminds you that there can always be redemption if you accept it.
