Tagore
(2003)

The power of intelligentia.
I was not a fan of Chiru earlier. My friends who were already fans were saying that the movie was excellent, but i thought that they were saying it only out of their adoration. I went to watch the movie without any biased mind. After two days, I was adoring Chiru more than my fan friends. Though "Anti Corruption" was already dealt in Bharateeyudu and Oke Okkadu, Vinayak's treatment and Chiru's high levels of maturity in action made it feel entirely different. Also the earlier movies were dubbed versions and missed nativity. Moreover the roles of heroes in those movies were just ordinary men. But "ACF" is an intelligentia. Really, Hats Off to Tagore.

OK for Tamilians, bad for others!
U won't believe if i say that this film was showed in my town only for 8 days!!! Right? Becoz the film could be appreciated by a tamilian, bcoz only he knows what the situation was when they were rescued by none on the islands on the way to Sri Lanka. But what about others? The movie was released in Telugu too. Where the trend of the movies was, "Love is in the air." or "Don't worry, be happy."! I'm a great fan of Mani Rathnam, but i am sorry to say that, i was disappointed a lot with the film! Anyway better luck next time, Mani!!!

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...
(2001)

Good film, filled with boring scenes!
When the plot was published in one of the leading newspapers, i thought that the movie would do very well. Bcoz, the storyline was planned in such a way, that every Indian father, who has traditional thoughts, undergoes fiction with his Indian son, who is a model for modern thoughts. This situation almost happens in every Indian family, and the father and the son, differ in their thoughts, no matter, how they luv each other. Had those boring scenes were'nt that boring, the movie would have done very well. Some of the centimental scenes really would'nt be so effective if any other Director did them. But that was Karan, and he did it! He erred, in many other scenes, though. To b frank, Kareena was a dummy role, inserted in the film, just not to dissatisfy, Hrithik's fans! Rani was not necessary in the film too!
