Walker
(2021)

I'm soooo glad Lindsey Morgan left this mess
As a lesbian Latina, when Micki Ramirez (Lindsey Morgan) was announced as a leading actress and Liam Walker (Keegan Allen) was revealed to be queer and in an well-developed relationship, I was thrilled. CW is famous for its bad, stereotypical "representation" of minority groups, but I really thought that this time they would do better. And even though the show could be 10x worse, I was still wrong. Despite the fact that the main character is extremely self-centered and annoying, the "dead wife" trope has been used and abused for DECADES, and it's honestly getting old. I'm a big fan of Jared Padalecki (from his Gilmore girls days) but his character is just sooooo tiring I feel like skipping every time he appears on screen. Honestly this show would be 100% better if his dead wife would've been the lead. Micki's character was the best, but after learning that Morgan left the cast (honestly good for her), I truly lost all interest I've ever had on this show. The so hyped queer relationship between Liam and his boyfriend felt like the directors just needed to add some queer rep to the show (just to check mark another minority group of their requirement list) and honestly their is more chemistry between me and a tree then these two. Seriously, if I didn't know they were boyfriends I would've doubt they were even friends. And honestly a gay conservative wallflower is not the hit they think it is. Maybe they should hire QUEER ACTORS to portray QUEER characters, just saying.... Overall this show feels like a liberal left leaning centrist swallowed the original Walker and threw up this mess of a plot.
