Doctor Slump
(2024)

Why Park Hyung Sik. Why?
I'm a huge fan of Park Hyung Sik. I have watched every show and even movie of his. But Dr. Slump might be the first show of his I want to give up on. I'm scared continuing to watch this will make me hate him.

Crap show. Every single actor is overacting. No story at all. It's like the writers made no effort whatsoever.

I'm sad to say the worst acting by Park Hyung Sik. His odd laugh and mannerisms is getting unbearable.

PHS and Park Shin hye have absolutely no chemistry.

They should never act together again.

Dear Hyung Sik if you read this. Please know I love you dearly. Please don't act in such shows again.

Your true fan.

Feel good. Watch it now
Funny, light hearted, at times emotional, good movie.

Been waiting to watch this movie for a few weeks, after watching snippets and the trailer. Finally watched it on Netflix today and I loved it.

Park Seo Joon as the angry young footballer is the star of this movie. His acting as always is fantastic. His comic timing is great. He nails his coaching and emotional scenes. Loved his chemistry and scenes with IU. They make a great pair and would love to see them in a show together.

IU was the surprise element for me, as I haven't watched her before. She was really good.

Every supporting cast member was perfectly cast. They did well in their parts.

Enjoyed it. Definitely rewatching it.

Mare of Easttown
(2021)

Binge watched in one night. That good
Hooked right from the first episode and just could not switch off the TV, had to know what happens next.

Kate Winslet is great in her role as Mare. Her character is strong and determined yet not overpowering and Kate portrays that beautifully. Her Emmy win is justified.

Credit to all other actors who did well in their roles. All the Emmy wins are so well deserved.

Great story. Twists and turns that made the story thrilling. Ending was unpredictable. Did not see that coming from a mile or 10 miles away

The last time I binge watched a series like this was Stranger Things season one. Been waiting for something as good and it was Mare of east town.

Jung Hae in at his (adorable) BEST
Even though the premise of the show wasn't too appealing to me, I watched it for Jung Hae In. I'm glad I did if not I would have missed out on a really good kdrama. The kind that I cannot wait to go home and watch.

I'm just 10 episodes in, but this show has such great moments, good acting, good music and so much cuteness ( some scenes got me grinning like a teenager ). To me, Jung Hae In is the best part of the show. He's got really great chemistry with Son Ye Jin, that surprisingly is not weird or uncomfortable to watch

So far so good. Let's see how it goes. Hope I don't have to alter my rating or review.

romance + adventure + black comedy = Good Kdrama
9/10 because... 1. Made me want to rewatch immediately after first watch 2. Jung Hae In - He was more than perfect as Lim Soo Ho. His expressions and acting is just too good 3. Romance - forbidden but a sweet romance brought to life with the amazing chemistry between the main leads. Paper airplanes will never be ordinary again 4. Comedy - good comedic timing and moments at tense situations. Made for good laughs 5. Music - was really good. Especially a particular BGM at thrilling, romantic moments 6. Supporting cast - Every single supporting cast member was perfectly cast and acted well 7. Adventure - In the attic, in the dorm, outside the secret exit. All made for good thrilling moments 8. Nailed the retro vibe - the tape recorder and cassettes, clothes, music - One Way Ticket, settings 9. Room 207 - this room had the perfect mix of girls. Makes me wish I studied in a boarding school or college and I had similar roommates

Minus 1 point for certain annoying characters - the 13 virgins ajhumma, all the time yelling Park sung woong and a few more. And because I'm a sucker for happy endings.

Rollercoaster of emotions
Having just discovered Park Hyung Sik and binge watching all his shows, this was one of them.

Watched it for Hyung Sik but kind of fallen in love with the Cha family and have withdrawal symptoms now that I finished watching.

A really good family drama. It made me laugh, cry (keep tissues handy), made me get so mad at the kids, personally made me cherish my family.

Watch it for the family entertainment. Watch and fall in love with Cha Dal Bong and Kang Seo Wool. Don't be out off by 53 episodes. It's worth your time.

Park Hyung Sik
Suits is Park Hyung Siks show all the way. HE IS BRILLIANT as Go Yeon Woo. Right from his super cool first scene at the club till the last episode where your heart breaks for him, ( he made me tear up, just with his expressions, when he talks to his grandmom ) he is AMAZING. He is so sexy when he is spewing legal jargon, so cool when he is teaming up with Jang Dong Guns character Choi Kang Sik, totally adorable when he is being a boyfriend, the way he shows his love for his grandmom, you would think it is his grandmom in real life. He is just BRILLIANT.

The lengthy dialogues must not have been easy. But he did it. He seems natural as a genius

Of course this show deserves a 10 because everything works. The bromance, the other actors, especially the music. It is all just great

If there is a chance of season 2 and we get to see more of Go Yeon Woo and Choi Kang Suk it will be awesome.

This show is a definite must watch.
