Das Haus der Träume
(2022)

This is a must see !!!!!!!
I am a person who is very interested in this period in time and having had family members who not only served in WW2 but also worked in factories building ships and planes to help the war effort, it's been so interesting to watch. PBS hit it out of the park with this series. I so hope they continue with MORE seasons. The cast and their chemistry with one another, is nothing short of magic. You will cheer for them, cry with and for them. The music, the clothing, the authentic feel of what it was like for those people, during that period of time, has been totally captured by PBS. Awesome job, folks !!!

The Gentlemen
(2024)

Excellent !
I was delightfully surprised by this series. It's not your run of the mill gratuitous sex and juvenile humor type thing, that is so common these days. It was snappy, gritty and you are taken on a true adventure. Very common of UK television, where they actually rely on the STORY to carry the program. It's a visual delight, as well. The filming locations are a wonder. The mansions and sets were opulant, toss in some exotic cars, horses, lots of great music. I loved the cast....they all worked so well together. The characters are people you will fall in love with and they'll stay with you. I can say now that I am a total Guy Ritchie fan. All I can hope and pray is that if there's a season 2, he doesn't muck it up and stays on track with what he did in the first season.

Troppo
(2022)

Stay with this series it's only going to get better.
I've read all 3 of the books. I have to admit that the first book, Crimson Lake was a slog but I truly came to love the characters in the book. The second book, Redemption Point, did a lot more character development and I found the overall story was more interesting, the flow was much better, as if Candice Fox found her stride and there was a flow that was not present in the first book. The 3rd book, Gone by Midnight, has become one of my hands down favorite books of all time ! I hope if they do a season 3 based on the book they keep it pretty true to the book. It was such a fun ride and I laughed so much. I've recommended this series of books to people who don't really enjoy reading but they absolutely enjoyed the books.

Troppo is sticking fairly close to the Crimson Lake book but I wish they had gone more into the relashionship Ted had with his geese. He may have rescued them but as is so often the case with animals, they rescued him right back. This family of geese played a huge role in the first book and contributed mightily to his "healing". I thought the casting was WONDERFUL ! I always get a picture of what characters look like in my head when reading a book and they look exactly as I pictured them. Only one small thing...Amanda was covered from head to toe in tats, in the book :)
