I couldn't believe Hallmark would not see what a terrible actress Clair Bowen is in this movie. She just makes these weird faces and gestures to things. She is so stiff and unnattural. Its hard to believe she is an experienced actor. It was hard to watch. Actually, as weird as this sounds, I watched the whole movie, because I couldn't believe how terrible the acting was. The sister would have been a much better cast. The plot of the movie is shallow and not very believable. Surprised that Hallmark would base a Christmas show on the main characters lying and deceiving to win a prize. With all the great actors in the Hallmark lineup, they should have passed on Clair.

The movie was okay until the ending. Then it was not okay at all. Really terrible ending. So her husband was missing for 3 years and just shows up at the father/daughter dance. He stands in the hallway of the dance and just stares at the trophy case, knowing that his daughter and wife, whom he hasn't seen in 3 years, are in the next room. Pretty much says "hi there, im back. " The writers must have fallen asleep. I feel embarrassed for the actors. Total waste of time. Hallmark movies are neant to be cheesy and predictable, but this movie should never have left the drawing board. Give this a big pass.
