Arcane: League of Legends: Everybody Wants to Be My Enemy
(2021)
Episode 5, Season 1

Rollercoaster
This episode is honestly one of my favorite TV episodes, in general.

The episode starts with a scene from Caitlyn's past, where we see that her parents intended for her to be an officer from the start.

Then there are a few scenes of Vi in prison, which are pretty good. She basically forces Caitlyn to let her out. Also, Vi getting trauma from Powder's bombs is great. That damn mechanical monkey.

Talking about Jinx, we get a scene where we see the Powder side of her once again. She tries to use those magic bombs, but immediately gets trauma from that day and runs off basically crying. I do like when shows and movies write insane characters with a reason, and Jinx is an example, her Powder side still being afflicted from that day. It's not every day that I nearly shed a tear for a mass murderer terrorist.

Then we have scenes with Vi and Caitlyn that are just great, Vi doing all those acrobatics and casually shutting off Caitlyn by saying that Powder was better than her at 7. Despite being the weakest of the group, Powder was still a beast.

Then there are funny moments with Vi and Caitlyn in Zaun, Vi still having great chemistry with that world despite not being in it for years and Caitlyn being completely disoriented.

We have a good scene with Marcus blowing himself up, but actually he didn't. I didn't really like Marcus before this episode, but he has grown on me. When I saw the fake scene of him taking Silco down in a suicide attack I had to pause to realize what happened.

There's also Jinx getting the Powder PTSD again from going in the room where they practiced. Great scene.

We then have the full transformation of Powder into Jinx. Silco's scenes are written to be uncomfortable, and damn they are.

Viktor then nearly dies while working on the magic science. All this while Jayce is having the time of his life.

And at the end there's the fight scene with Vi, which is animated damn well. The whole fight I was just shouting at Vi to win. Caitlyn also helps.

Overall, the chemistry between the characters is amazing, there are several scenes that recall the past which I really like, and I give this 10/10. Jinx and Vi are perfectly written.

Meg 2: The Trench
(2023)

This film is bad
Yep.

This film is not good objectively. But man, it is funny.

The other animals were thrown there just because. Especially the squid. It was thrown there because big sea monster. And it fighting the meg was glorious. Worth it.

They got rid off the less important characters early and the remaining ones survived till the end. Didn't make sense. But I was happy.

The megs obviously stole the show every time they opened their jaws. Haiqi especially was funny in a bad way, made no sense at all.

Dj going full Doom Slayer mode on several armed people that could have shot him at any moment, and then just shooting the dinosaur thingy at the end is so bad. But he was at least smart about being always prepared.

"This is meg-proof" famous last words. It was, in fact, not meg-proof.

And oh my god the way they got rid of the threats was simultaneously genius and horrible. It looked like a shower thought which you realized only after was completely flawed.

Jonas bombing the Megs was stupid af. And getting the other one impaled just confirmed his gravity-bending powers.

What was clever was Jonas bashing that bad guy's head with a rock. He could have stabbed him at any time. He didn't because heavy rock. Rocks are and will always be the best imaginary weapon. Ignoring how that guy would have already died by getting choked but eh.

Jiuming running past the Megs was silly and weird.

Jonas kicking the main bad guy into a meg was one of the worst and best guilty pleasures of mine that has finally been made true.

Jiuming killing the dinothingy with a shovel was funny because, shovel. Improvised weapons are best weapons.

Opening the door to let the dinothingys in was such a bad move that could have gone horribly wrong at any time. It worked.

Like I said, the kraken-like thing had no reason to be in this movie other than fighting the meg for a few seconds. Too short, would have liked more of it, but still cool in a bad way.

Overall: This movie sucks and every penny was wasted. 8/10 worth every penny.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
(2023)

Emotional, subjectivity is important
Watched this one with my friends.

This movie is pretty hard to describe.

James Gunn is amazing and it shows in this film. The best part is that all of the Guardians' arcs got closed, at least for now.

Peter learned that his opportunity with Gamora was one in a million and he just can't get it back. He gets to embrace his Earth roots.

Gamora found a family, not with the Guardians, but with the Ravagers. Like the original Gamora, she goes with who finds her first. She also understands that she and Peter were together and isn't just disgusted by it.

Nebula gets to soften up.

Drax finally understands metaphors and he stops just being a dumb brute.

Mantis goes on her own, refusing to take orders from anyone.

Rocket, I don't even need to explain it.

Groot speaks.

That former Ravager learned to control Yondu's arrow, it was amazing and sad to see Mary Poppins back.

The High Evolutionary is a horrible villain, in a good way. Never have I wanted to break the spine of a villain so much. Tortured animals and was basically Space (austrian painter). Genuinely horrifying villain. Glad he got what was coming to him.

Also the gore was good. The HE's mauled face at the end was incredibly satisfying.

Jokes were funny. Curses good. Didn't expect the f-bomb to be in a completely normal moment so it was pretty funny.

The best part is that we can now understand our boi Groot. Even OUR arc came to a close. We became honorary Guardians.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie
(2023)

Underrated movie.
Alright this movie is a goldmine. I loved it and everyone I know that watched it, liked it. Not surprising considering that this is the movie about one of the most iconic characters ever. The movie is animated very well and it's a good mix of cartoonish, game-accurate, and realistic. Usually people complain about this movie's plot. Are we really looking at the plot of Super Mario? The platformer game in 1985? The jokes are funny. The movie is full of references to the games that the big fans of Super Mario would get. And the voice acting, oh god. Amazing. Chris Pratt as Mario is funny and Jack Black is a perfect Bowser. This movie also accomplished what the game still can't do: portray Peach's power and make Donkey Kong relevant. Here are my scores: Animation: 9.5/10 Plot: 6/10 Voice acting: 9/10 Enjoyability: 10/10 Overall: 9.5/10.

Amanda the Adventurer
(2023)

Amanda The Adventurer
Small indie horror game. Definitely deserves more popularity. The childish tone fades out progressively, while still maintaining childish graphics and applying them to creepy things to give an uneasy feeling. Even when nothing is wrong you feel chills because you don't know when the child-friendly facade will break down. The lore is good and actually pretty hard to figure out. Voice acting is very good, it portrays perfectly emotions like they were real. It also helps the Dora nostalgia factor. The puzzles are another great part, and sometimes they're hard to figure out. I personally give this one a 10.
