Trigger Point
(2022)

How can bomb disposal be dull?
A series about bomb disposal should be exciting, but this one is full of so many inaccuracies, hole and bad scripting, it makes for a very dull watch. 2 great lead actors supported by an excellent cast don't help because the script has them over acting and panicking.

Terrible tv, only watch if you're ill and off work and there's nothing else to watch.

Landscapers
(2021)

Great story, over stylised
This is a fantastic story, true crime, with excellent actors, giving brilliant performances, but they're let down by a director who wants to make film noir type TV, but isn't really capable of it.

It comes across like they're making fun of the protagonists, which is unfair, maybe not on the people found guilt for murdering an elderly couple, but definitely the elderly couple themselves, it belittles the crime and everything surrounding it.

Watch if you're bored or interested in the story, otherwise, give it a miss.

Witnesses
(2019)

Definitely one of the worst films I've seen
Poorly written, badly acted, badly made, not much going for it.

The story is different, a slasher/drug cartel film is not a storyline that would first come to mind, and it shouldn't be made again, it doesn't work, well it didn't this time anyway.

It's definitely the worst film I've watched for a long time, watch if you have nothing else to do, at all!

The Third Day
(2020)

Great, if a little weird.
This is a great show with loads of brilliant acting, good writing, excellent location and fantastic story. But my god has Naomi Harris got the most incredibly irritating voice. She gets excited or angry or emotional, and she developed this shrillness in her voice. If you can stand that, you'll enjoy the show.

Secret Obsession
(2019)

Potentially the worst film ever
Ok maybe not the worst film ever, but it's got to be in the top 100 of bad films. The story isn't too bad, except for the huge holes in its plot, but if you could get past them, you would hope to enjoy the film. Oh no, not this one! Get past the holes and you need to endure the woeful script, it must have been written by a group of trainee script writers, and then script editor forgot to check it, it's terrible, a hundred blind monkeys would do a better job. The acting? You can't necessarily blame them for doing a bad job, a crap script with massive plot holes isn't the perfect situation, but nevertheless, they were rubbish. The direction wasn't any better. If you have the choice between watching this film and being beaten senseless with a baseball bat, I think you're just about better off with the film, but under all other circumstances, don't watch it.

Who Is America?
(2018)

Made for Americans
This can only be made for the US audience, because I can't ever imagine a Brit finding any of it funny. The characters have no interesting features, they simply say ridiculous things to people we've never heard of, nor have any connection with, there opinions aren't interesting or funny, and in some cases, it looks so well performed, it's almost like it's been scripted and rehearsed. I've enjoyed everything that Cohen has done up to this point, but this show is utterly disappointing, it could be the worst thing I've ever watched on TV.

Hangman
(2017)

This shouldn't have been made
It's not often I don't watch the end of a film, I can usually find a reason, no matter how small it is, to endure a bad film to find out what its point was. Alas, Hangman was one of only a few films I could carry on with. It started with a pointless car chase, which cynics would suppose was only there to grab your attention, and may have had relevance later in the film, but it was pointless if you don't get to the film. Following that, it was just a uncomfortable combination of terrible acting and poor scriptwriting. My theory is that the producers spent the entire budget on Al Pacino, forgetting that they needed some decent supporting actors and good scriptwriters, so were left with some of the worst acting I've seen in a feature film for a long time. In short, do not watch this utter drivel, it awful in every possible way, even if you have nothing else to do, I would recommend watching a blank TV over watching this.

Shot Caller
(2017)

Probably the best film you've not heard of this year
You've probably not heard of this film, I hadn't seen any trailers or other adverts, but when I saw the synopsis, I wanted to give it a go. I can't tell you how surprised I was that it was so good. Although it's not totally original, you can't knock the quality of the film, the script was great, it had excellent acting and a really good story. If you like gripping thrillers with a good, strong ending, this is a film you'll enjoy, it's certainly an entertaining way to spend 2 hours.

John Wick: Chapter 2
(2017)

What utter rubbish.....
I quite enjoyed John Wick, the first one was OK, if you can get away from the fact that Keanu Reeves isn't very believable as a super assassin. This one is diabolical. It's so bad, I can't think of anything productive to write. If the alternative is no film at all, go for that, because there's no reason to watch John Wick 2.

Allied
(2016)

Ignore the inaccuracies
The is a fictional drama. That's really important to remember, and with that in mind, this is a great film. OK, there are a few inaccuracies, for the sake of entertainment, but all this film wants to be is an entertaining film about espionage set during WW2. The setting is almost irrelevant but gives it some context, so watch it with an open mind, and make sure your head isn't up your arse so you can enjoy it for what it is.

Knock Knock
(2015)

Watching a blank wall would be more fun....
Dear oh dear, what an awful film.

Eli Roth is better than this!

No one could ever accuse Keanu Reeves of being a good actor, however, in Knock Knock, he reaches new heights in being terrible, as do his co-stars, script writers, director and pretty much every person involved in this film.

I wish I'd read the reviews before wasting my time watching Knock Knock.

Please, please do not watch it, you'll never get that time back. Spend your time doing something more enjoyable or useful - options for more useful activities include contracting Ebola and spending 6 months in hospital or marooning yourself on a remote island for several months with the only entertainment being a stick.

The Shield
(2002)

Truly fantastic
I can't understand the negative comments which The Shield has attracted, it is one of the best shows of its genre.

I agree that some viewers might not like the cinematography, however, they shouldn't let this detract from the gritty story lines and superb acting.

This is not the type of show that you can watch one episode, to get the full benefit, you need to watch several episodes to pick up on the complex relationships and ongoing story lines.

Let's face it, the show can't be that bad to attract stars like Forrest Whitaker and Glen Close.
