Man Like Mobeen
(2017)

Hilarious, Confident yet grounded in reality
Is it a laptop or a dead cat? Guz Kan leads with a virtuoso performance as his on screen persona Mobeen Dean. I've seen and heard Mobeen skits over the years, wildly funny yet pragmatic and to be able to see his own series become reality is truly a pleasure. Some of the jokes you may miss completely, either because you're not aware of the lexicon used or the cultural significance but it' still damn well funny.

Episode 2 is particularly brilliant and episode 4 closes with a more mature, in a Mobeen kinda way, debate on xenophobia and fear of the unknown/misunderstood. I enjoyed every episode and so will you too. Great acting and production was off a very good quality, I recognised all the locations as local to me which was a nice bonus. The direction was good and the editing linked it together well.

Brilliant. Looking forward to Mobeens return. Hopefully longer with more episodes!

Street Warrior
(2008)

Weak plot but entertaining nonetheless
OK, OK, I know the plot is the usual rubbish - disgraced ex-Special Forces goes back home after a real loooong time and just gets into more trouble.

Dodgy cops, dodgier camera work and some lame characters - is there anything good about it? Well, yeah there is and that's only cos of the lead - Max Martini - and some of the fight scenes. I really think Max has great screen presence it's shame the story is pathetic, lame supporting characters and the budget low.

I actually enjoyed it, primarily cos it's mindless fun. Also the main baddie tough guy reminds me of the Rock - if he weighed like 120 pounds more! You'll know what I mean when you see him. Enjoy!
