Jaws 3-D
(1983)

A decent movie ... but here's the problem!
All right, I know everyone bashes Jaws 3 but if you take a step back from the film it really isn't that bad. Here is the problem with Jaws 3 ... it's JAWS 3!!! Jaws 3 had a HUGE legacy to live up to and this sequel offered fundamental changes that just made it impossible.

Jaws 3 was too far from the original and fans could accept that. It seemed that all ties to Jaws had been broken ... no Amity, no Brody, no mention of the other two films at all.

This Jaws movie would have been comparable to what would have happened if they cut Sigourney Weaver from the Alien sequels ... it just wouldn't have been as good ... same premise but a completely different feel. Had the movie Jaws 3 NOT been tied to Jaws ... say they named the movie "Seaworld Supershark" ... then the high expectations wouldn't have been there and the movie may have been better remembered and reviewed.

As you watch Jaws 3 try to watch it as JUST a movie ... not as a sequel but as its own unique film and you may have a higher opinion of it!

Hancock
(2008)

Hancock ... a good movie if you can stop comparing it to every other superhero flick!
Hancock is a good movie for teens and adults as younger viewers may not be able to take in the whole scope of the movie or appreciate some of the more adult humor.

The version I watched is unrated but I'd give it a PG-13.

There are periods of profanity and violence so if you are squeamish about watching or are squeamish about your children watching then I would not recommend this movie for you.

Other reviewers may have stated that Hancock was no Superman or Batman and that is true in the same way that Alien is no Jaws or vice versa even though they are both monster-type movies. I don't think Hancock was trying to be Superman ... it is what it is and it should be taken as such.

If you watch Hancock and DON'T compare it to another superhero flick or pick apart every little camera angle I think you will enjoy it as it is funny and the ending is touching! Just try it! Don't listen to everyone else says and miss out on a movie that you may REALLY like! If you don't want to spend the money buying it just yet then rent it or borrow it from a friend but at least give it a spin!

WALL·E
(2008)

Wall-E gets an A! This IS a Disney Classic!
Just finished watching the Blu-Ray version of Wall-E and I have to say ... "WOW!" Cartoons and animated movies like Disney's Cars and Wall-E REALLY shine in Blu-Ray and I really think that if you saw Wall-E or Cars in high def and didn't think or say "WOW" when you saw the picture and how clear and crisp it was then the whole high def experience is lost on you.

As far as the film goes ... I LOVED IT! This, in my opinion, will become a true Disney classic! I think this movie is appealing to all members of your family whether your 8, 18, 48, or 88. It is cute, heartwarming, and despite the lack of speech on the part of the two main characters the movie is very funny! This is the epitome of a "family film" and there is absolutely NO reason why anyone should not see or not be allowed to see this film.

So, if you're looking for a family film or even if your just looking for a good funny movie Wall-E is a distinct possibility for the evening! ALSO, if you're looking to have your HI-DEF put into use ... pick up the Blu-Ray version, dim the lights, and have a "WOW" or two ready!

Saw V
(2008)

Another great piece of the Jigsaw puzzle ...
Just got back from seeing Saw 5 in the theater and I was really happy I went to see it. I've been a fan since the original came out and they are all really tremendous movies.

You know, it's not about the amount of gore or lack thereof, no; it's about a good storyline which I feel that the entire Saw line possesses.

Without revealing anything too in depth about the film (Don't want to ruin it for people who haven't seen it) I can tell you that this Saw does a good job of tying the first two Saws together. We are finding out more and more about Jigsaw and how the traps are done and what went into them.

Any Saw fan will love this movie and I for one cannot wait to add it to my DVD collection. If you didn't like Saw 1 or the fact that there is gore then you will not like this movie either. It isn't gore just for gore's sake ... it really contributes to the storyline and if you look deeper and realize why these people are in the traps and why Jigsaw does what he does then you will realize that there really is more to Saw then just blood and gore!

Always a Left-Wing Bias...
Does it bother anyone ... Republican, Democrat, Independent, Green, whatever that EVERY single time a political movie is made it always leans left? If you want to make a movie about the unprecedented 2000 Presidential election fine but try to do it with a view that is not so clearly tainted.

Come on, "... the Bush brothers aren't interested in a dignified process..." the movie makes Al Gore and the Democratic Party out to be Jesus Christ and his flock and it wasn't that way! Can we please be honest??? ... You had two good men who wanted to be President more than J. Edgar Hoover wanted new pantyhose! BOTH of them fought tooth and nail and who wouldn't but the fact is that, in the end, Bush won the election and people need to let it go ... my god ... it's been 8 years and we are still beating this dead and decaying horse.

However, I do find it ironic that Democrats and Bush haters keep re-upping the whole Gore won the popular vote thing but here and now, in 2008, as the Democratic primaries wind down the winner is ultimately going to be the person who won the delegate count and NOT the popular vote ... SO would this mean that the Democratic Party talks out of both sides of its mouth?

Gremlins 2: The New Batch
(1990)

A goof...
This movie is a goof movie ... Gremlins came out and was a mildly good scary movie.

Then there was Gremlins: The New Batch which was a parody of the first one and was not scary at all but actually made for a mildly good comedy.

I would recommend this movie if you had seen the first Gremlins movie ... enjoyed it somewhat and were looking for a few laughs.

Neither movie is the best at what they are trying to be ... the first one is a B rated horror flick and the second is a B rated comedy.

Enjoy and Thanks for reading my review!

Fahrenhype 9/11
(2004)

The TRUTH about America
This film was outstanding!!! This is a REAL documentary not a docu-drama and it shows how Moore used and exploited the people and tragedy that was and is 9/11. This film completely and utterly rebutts the outright LIES in Moors' piece of trash movie and shows how he is part of a political witch hunt to destroy a good, moral man like George W. Bush.

This film reminds us of all the freedoms we have that others do not but it also reminds us that the U.S. is benevolent and courageous and trying to bring those same freedoms to others around the world who are less fortunate ... like the people of Iraq who were tortured and oppressed by Saddam.

Bottom line ... SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

God Bless America!!!

DC 9/11: Time of Crisis
(2003)

FANTASTIC FILM!!! A Grade A movie all the way!
This movie shows the true courage, passion, and strength that President George W. Bush showed on September 11th 2001. This movie was a spectacular counter to Michael Moore's piece of partisan, biased, trash movie Fahrenheit 9/11.

Bottom Line ... if you are a Republican or someone who cares about the safety of our country than you will LOVE this movie.

If you are a Michael Moore loving piece of trash who wants thinks the terrorists have rights too and have a good, just reason to attack America then you will HATE this film.

We NEED to Re-Elect George W. Bush to ensure the sanctity of our country! Sometimes the RIGHT thing to do isn't always the popular thing to do!

Fahrenheit 9/11
(2004)

The worst most inaccurate movie EVER!
This film is such a bias and inaccurate movie it makes me sick and I wouldn't own this movie even if some one gave it to me for free. Moore says no American's were ever threatened by Saddam ... HELLO!!! He threatened to kill George Bush Sr.

Micheal Moore is so far to the left that it is impossible for him to make a true, fair and balanced film concerning this country or any of our leaders!

Hitler was more honest with people about the holocaust than Moore is about Bush in this film!

Bush did his job to the best of his ability! It is always easy to look back on something and criticize it ... but when you are actually in that situation it is an entirely different story.

Aliens
(1986)

Fantastic Movie
This is one those movies where I believe that the sequel was better than the original. If you are a newcomer to the Alien Quadrology (The four Alien movies) I would recommend seeing them in order. While I believe that part two was better than the original you will have a better understanding if you have already seen the first.

I hope this helps and enjoy the movie!
