The first season is exceptional and well worth watching. Subsequent seasons are comparatively mediocre and may not be worth the time investment. The storytelling and performances in the first season are truly outstanding. True Detective Season 1 is a masterclass in atmospheric storytelling. The chemistry between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson is electric. Its nonlinear narrative keeps you intrigued from start to finish. The cinematography and eerie Louisiana backdrop are hauntingly beautiful. Each episode builds tension with philosophical depth and dark realism. It's not just a crime drama - it's an exploration of identity and fate. Truly one of the finest seasons in television history.
It was a well-crafted and solid film about Christian ethics, regardless of whether you are religious or not. It's akin to the lesson we take from A Man for All Seasons: standing firm and insisting on what you believe to be truth and justice. Ralph Fiennes is also deserving of an Oscar for his graceful and calculated performance in this role.
The entire film is set in a place where the giants of Western painting created their masterpieces-from Signorelli to Raphael and Michelangelo. However, the director makes only brief stops on the frescoes, aligning them with the film's theme, rather than turning the movie into a tourist exploration of art history and architectural marvels.
The film's focus is something else entirely. It's about morality. It's about avoiding partisanship and delivering a just verdict. It's about standing by your principles, even if it leads to that tough final decision.

We were excited to finally see the last Alien movie. Unfortunately it wasn't what we expected at all. It was not a serious movie, rather it was a disappointing childish pc game. I think we should not get excited about and rely on high IMDb scores these days.
I am very sorry to see the fate of great movies like Alien 1 (1979) and Alien 2 (1986), with legendary cast and crew, turning into a mere superficial and nonsense pc game for entertaining today's teenagers who think they know everything and can conquer the world. It is not possible to enrich a weak story by shallow catchphrases and silly bravery.
It was a waste of two hours of my life that I will never get back.
