Hanu Man
(2024)

Refreshingly good and delightful.
This movie is made on a relatively lower budget but as the story is told in a beautiful way the movie keeps the audience engaged and takes them on the journey of a small town boy who is the lead actor. The animation is top notch for a lower budget movie. The animated and non animated scenes are blended very well. The editing is superb. Dialogs are original. The film also pays tribute to the south Indian movies and their over the top action scenes with tongue in cheek remarks without mocking them or being sarcastic. It almost hero worships South Indian cinema in a manner which I found very charming. There is a scene from a comic book of superman which the hero tries to enact (unknowingly) with hilarious results.

Movies of this genre need to click emotionally with the audiences. This is what Hanuman achieves very nicely. The villain is also given a nice back story that makes his motives far more believable. The movie blends scenes of hopelessness, despair, person loss followed by triumph very well and also gives a tease of the 2nd part. Can't wait for this to be developed into a universe very nicely as there is a rich storyline available to explore from the epics which are very familiar with the audience. It can give the top notch super hero movies a run for their money while attracting a new generation and a new class of audience that is not currently into superheroe action movies, especially in India. The foreign audience who are into superhero movies will love this movie too. Amazing movie. Do watch it.

Indian Police Force
(2024)

Could be much better
The Indian police has not been shown in a good light in many scenes. The story is highly predictable. Acting in some scenes is forced and looks artificial. The lead actor has a wooden expression through the series.

It doesn't appear polished like the international web series.

The police can't shoot a criminal running away from them in a straight line. A cop is shown that he can't defend himself and makes very basic mistakes that show the force in a bad light. The cops break laws willy nilly as if they are local dadas. For a mainstream director these things could have been avoided or made better, especially since the director has been making cop universe movies for a long time. There was no shortage of budget as well as there are many cars blown up and seen flying in the climax scene that looks way over to top and unnecessary. The same formula of an action movie has been used in the series. It doesn't show anything original in the story or the acting or direction. You won't miss much if you avoid it as there is much more engaging content available online these days.

India Lockdown
(2022)

Propaganda movie to show India in a bad light
This is full of lies about the lockdown in India. A country of 1.3 billion people that scathed thru the pandemic relatively unharmed. The government fed people during lockdown and even after lockdown till today. 80 Crore people (800 million) have been getting free food from India. Govt. All Indians got free vaccine that are digitally traceable thru Mobil phones but this director only shows the negative side of India even during such tough times. It's just ridiculous. Bollywood, that warms crores in India didn't take care of their staff and many went jobless. These thankless folks are now blaming the same govt in this movie that took care of their staff whom the bollywoodiyas threw out on the streets.

Phone Bhoot
(2022)

Overacting galore
Too much overacting by Katrina. Ishan has no acting skills. Avoid watching even for free. Wonder when bollywood will make a decent movie with good acting. Very disappointed to waste my time on this. I wish I can get my money back and even if I can, how can I get the time back. Will think twice before I go to theater again. Extremely bad performance from the new actors. How can this industry continue to make such bad movies? Are they running out of ideas? Are they running out of good actors? Many mini series produced have much better script and acting skills. So why can't they make a decent movie?? It's baffling. There seems to be a deficit of talent or good scripts are not being given a chance.

Hostel Daze
(2019)

Good acting marred by poor script
The characters are relatable and acting is good. The script is mediocre which underutilized the actors.

Terminator Salvation
(2009)

Spoiler post: Why T4 sucks!
Reasons why T4 sucks & suggestions to make it better!

1. The 1st hour of the movie is just building up the plot.

2. The 2nd hour tries to show all the cool action that you have watched in the trailers! By then you are too bored to find it cool, especially if the trailers are in HD!

3. The people in the movie appear well groomed - not helpless and desolate (as they should be in a post-nuclear world)

4. The machines are collecting people to take them to a facility and then kill them. Why? Are you going to harvest them for making nuclear batteries?

5. Just use the robotic arm for picking up the people to crush them! Its more efficient instead of transporting them to a shed and THEN killing them!

6. In fact, why use the arm at all? Why not just carpet bomb the world and kill everyone.

7. Whats the use of killing ALL the people? Or even capturing them? Were the machines just trying to find something to keep themselves busy? - "Gee, we built so many extra nuclear batteries. We'll have to build some terminators to use them now." "Gee, now there are extra Terminators, so lets kill some people even though they are not much of a resistance!" groovy! (FYI, that's what Bush did in Iraq. Its not the future, its the past!)

8. In the beginning of the movie, John Connor looks at a nuclear blast happen and survives without even getting a pimple on his ass.

9. You cannot kill a terminator by shooting it with a gun! Its stupid! The bullets will just bounce off!

10. Once the gun is empty, you cannot throw it at the Terminator and say "die!" - No, that will not kill it either, unless you are trying to kill it with your stupidity!

11. When you see a 30 foot "Transformer type" robot coming at you, you should know you cannot outrun it in a pickup truck! 12. The "predator" in the Arnold movie was a better killing machine than the Terminators!

13. The bat-man like bike dispatched from the robot's leg was not meant to be ridden by a human!

14. When there is a nuclear blast, you cannot communicate on radio!

15. You cannot blow up a nuclear battery plant and possibly escape in a helicopter! You will die!

16. The nuclear battery plant - the source of the terminator fuel - had minimal security! Even some banks these days have lasers to guard their facility!

17. If the terminators are heat proof, why not have a "heat-moat" around the plant that will kill humans, but allow the terminators to move in and out!

18. After killing all the humans, what will Skynet do? Grow potatoes? Or try to create a Issac Asimov inspired SIMS world by building fornicating robots!

19. The human-robot removes a computer chip from his brain and survives without a hitch! Did he run a test to check if the chip - embedded in his brain - was not vital for his survival? ha!

20. The same human-robot throws a chair at the display screen thru which Skynet communicated with him - even I know that not going to kill Skynet! Whats the point in that? Just run and save John without trying to reason with an AI computer that has almost succeeded in destroying the world!

21. If you are going to argue with Skynet, at least make sure you have some logic that would throw it into an endless recursive loop that will lock it up!

22. He could have installed Windows Vista on the computer - That would have caused it to crash every 30 minutes!

23. The patches required by Vista would cause Skynet to reboot twice every week. The humans can use that time to infiltrate and capture Skynet!

24. Putting charcoal over an airbrushed actor does not create an authentic desolate look! Try to get some make inspiration from Mad-Max if you have borrowed a few scenes from it!

25. The transformer type robot in point 9 raised the count of "Inspired movies" to 14!

26. Considering all the above points, this post should be called "your ticket money saving post!"

27. A post-nuclear war world does not have a blue sky when nuclear explosions are still happening.
