Baram-pigi joheun nal
(2007)

Good movie, lots of fun.
A good date comedy about two Korean girls cheating on their husbands. A lot of funny situations that keep the movie enjoyable till the end. Good acting by Hye-su Kim, who turns her not so original character into a really fresh and interesting one. The movie is packed with sex jokes and sex situations, but it never gets vulgar and keeps all these themes at a very funny level. If you like Asian cinema you should look this movie at once and if you are new to Asian movies this should be a good start to enjoy the very active and talented Korean scene. This movie is better than most of the Hollywood movies of the genre in the last years. It has been presented in Italy at the famous Far East Film Festival, where it gained a good reaction from the audience. If you are looking for a laugh go and watch this movie.

Welkkeom tu Dongmakgol
(2005)

2006 Far East Festival Winner
This movie won the 2006 Udine Far East Festival a big festival about Asian cinematography. At the end of the screening the audience applauded the director Kwang-Hyun Park and the movie for 5 minutes and gave him the audience award with a clear margin above the other festival movies (and many movies where very good!) This is a great film. The story is a great mix of dramatic and comical moments, with some interesting characters as the crazy girl of Dongmakgol (Hye-jeong Kang) and the northern and southern soldiers. Technically the movie is beautiful. Great visuals, simple but effective and good editing that keeps a good pace though all the film. The musics are good but there is no score that you are going to remember. The acting is very good and all the main actors can keep up well all the changes in the mood of the movie and they can do both good comical scenes and dramatic ones. I have no great experience in Korean movies, but this one is surely the best one i've ever seen and I suggest to try and see it, i'm sure that you will have no regrets in doing that.

(Sorry for my "stumbling" English, i'm Italian and i'm not so good in learning foreign languages :P )

Jom kha mung wej
(2005)

A Chaotic movie.
I went to my local DVD rental store and i saw this movie in the list.

The description was intriguing. The police hunts a former police officer, able to use dark magic powers, that has escaped from prison in mysterious circumstances. I thought that mixing police and black magic was an unusual but interesting idea. Maybe it could be, but not in this movie.

From the first second to the last the movie was a continued and foolish cut and paste of scenes that always seemed disconnected among them. When you expected that someone was going to explain to you what was happening the scene changes radically and you can only feel something like "What the heck is happening now?"

The characters are badly introduced to the audience and it's impossible to understand why they are doing what they do. The only interesting character is Itti, the bad guy of the movie, but the attempts of explaining it's past are only confusing as is impossible to understand why he has his powers and why he is using them like that.

This is an awful film and I suggest to avoid it if you can!

There's Something About Mary
(1998)

One of the funniest movies of all times
I've already seen this movie about 5 times and every time i see it again i can't stop laughing. Cameron Diaz is simply wonderful and Ben Stiller is great as always. The fighting between the dog and Ted Stroehmann (Ben Stiller) is one of the funniest things i've ever seen! This is my favorite comedy movie (at least among the american ones). Sorry for my bad english, but I'm from Italy and I don't want to study english very much :P

My vote: 10/10
