Everything Christmas
(2023)

Busby's Over The Top Performance Kills Another Movie
This movie was alright, the acting was mostly great by specifically the Santa and Tori, the rest did well with what they had. Cindy Busby always overacts in these movies. She drives me a little nuts and when playing an already over the top character, it was hard to watch. Also they write her character as a terrible friend. She actively tries to get Tori fired the entire movie, she keeps asking her why she has her job? Well people do actually have bills that the magic of Christmas doesn't pay? She also seems to make digs at Tori for not being with her family, everything Tori does seems to be wrong and over analyzed. If I were Tori I'd ditch LJ and go beg for my job back, bah humbug.

Painkiller
(2023)

Not Bad but I've seen it before
The whole time while watching this show I thought it was Grounds Hog Day, because I've seen this before. Dopesick on Hulu was way more compelling and a complete doppelgänger of this show. It was good, telling a story that should be out there the acting was good, but literally word for word! I wish Netflix could come up with an "original" original, they have lots of money I can't see why they can't. The actors are solid, but the story has been told before and more solid. I have to write up to 500 characters so I'm just going to repeat my compelling arguement here. Netflix please come up with something original!

Monster
(2022)

An Accurate Portrait of a Serial Killer
This was a historically accurate look at Dahmer. They didn't add or take away from the story. This show does a great job of seeing these crimes through the eyes of the victims, and it creates a chilling new perspective. They didn't glamorous Dahmer which I appreciated. At times this was brutal, but Even Peters kept you dialed in, his characterization of Dahmer didn't disappoint. He adds to the reality and grit, with a great performance, he deserves all the awards. The story is spread throughout his life and picks up in different areas, but it comes together well. It also takes you away from the jarring violence, giving much needed breaks.

Love Is Blind: Meet the Other Couples
(2022)
Episode 4, Season 2

Season 2 is shaping up to be just as good!
If you liked season 1 you'll probably like this season. The parallels between some characters like Jessica from season one and Shaina from season 2. If you like season 1 you will find this entertaining.

Eight Gifts of Hanukkah
(2021)

Happy Hanukkah but.....
I love the premise, however my goodness how does she not know....... About 1/2 way through even the lead guy is at best yelling "duh" in a Hallmark way. Either way the baby talk, and act is a bit much for me, no thanks lady. I can't deal with a leading lady that talks like she's five for some reason, it is very troublesome to me. No thank you add some presence to your voice. I don't know why the baby talk, and overwhelming helpless body movement is necessary, it doesn't speak to the modern women of the next generation that I would hope you are hopeful to talk to.

Judy Justice
(2021)

Love.... Except
I'm a huge Judge Judy fan, the way she breaks down the law is always fantastic and fascinating. However let me make two suggestions, get rid of Sarah - she's useless and the "conversations" after court are unnecessary. She is usually caught making annoyed reactions to Judy during court or being unable to look up items on the internet (for real?). Also bring back Byrd this Kevin fellow is in sure wonderful but no Byrd, the familiar banter between Byrd and Judy was part of the initial shows charm. I like it, I just don't Llloooovvee it.

Shine On with Reese
(2018)

Not bad just not great
Reese Witherspoon is a great actress and a subpar interviewer. We all have strengths and opportunities I believe we have found Reese's opportunity to improve, she doesn't make eye contact with the person she's talking to and it's distracting. She also is trying to inject herself into the narrative constantly which I find bothersome. The premise is great, if we could have a little less Reese and more information on the guests, that I find the most fascinating part of the show, the better. Maybe she could open each show with a story about the featured person impact on her personally, then she could let them talk more without her interjecting as much? Food for thought. I hope they make a few tweaks because I like the idea.

Raising Dion
(2019)

That Kid
Has potential yet falls short of the mark, in a big part because the kid in the main role is over the top and it's very distracting. I did enjoy Jason Ritter, Michael B and other actors. If they come back for season 2 and cast an older child, it could be salvaged. Worth a watch but if they keep the kid I won't be tuning in anymore.
