WandaVision
(2021)

Ok people!
Ok people this show just came out today and it's already getting negative reviews?? Give this show a chance! It will explain what's going on! If you don't like the show don't watch it! It's simple as that. I for one like the show so far and can't wait for these upcoming Fridays!

Daredevil
(2015)

Marvel never ceases to impress!
I was really hesitant about watching "Daredevil" at first, but thanks to my sister who talked me into it, I absolutely love it! For those who are Marvel fans, this show is the real deal. It's dark and gritty but at the same time very entertaining! Charlie Cox did a really great job as the blind lawyer turned kick-ass vigilante. I don't think I will take him seriously in any other roles in shows/movies anymore! Based on its TV-MA rating, Daredevil is pretty clean with mild language and no explicit content (except for the mature themes that deal with drugs and human trafficking). It's the violence that is pretty strong with lots of blood splatters, fights, bones breaking and disturbing noises that you will have you take a moment to recover. "Daredevil" is not suitable for younger viewers under 13, so parents watch this show at night!

American Sniper
(2014)

Powerful film!
I just saw American Sniper last night with a close friend of mine. At first I wanted to see it when it comes out in DVD but then my thoughts changed and decided to see it in theaters. OK let's talk about the film. I know it got some controversial reviews from left and right, but that's because it's treated more like a political thing than just a biography that our hero wanted us to know about. Chris Kyle was a legendary sniper who killed more terrorists than any sniper in the 21st century. A respected man by the military and a feared warrior that earned him the name Devil of Ramadi by the Islamic terrorists. The movie does not only portray him and his career, it also portrayed him as a loving husband and father. His struggle with PTSD gave him a new mission: to help other vets who also struggle with PTSD. Bradley Cooper did a fabulous job at portraying our American warrior along with Sienna Miller who plays the beautiful Taya Kyle. Regardless of what the negative reviews on here say about the movie and Chris, this movie is worth watching and will leave you thinking for a very long time! Thank you Clint Eastwood and Bradely Cooper for your help in spreading his legacy!

The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall
(2011)

Beautifully well done!
I just this version of Phantom of the Opera last night with one of my dearest friends and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it! Pretty much this is the best version I have seen so far! Everyone did a fabulous job at portraying their characters especially Ramin and Sierra. Towards the end of the show, my friend and I completely lost it because of the intense emotions that the two literally put into their characters so well that their performance will tug on your heartstrings. Ramin is by far the best Phantom in my opinion. He blew me away by not just his voice but the emotions he put into his character, showing his character's sensitive side and vulnerability with just a dose of sexuality. I do put him as my favorite above Gerard Butler's Phantom (Gerard was very good in the 2004 movie version, but he didn't have that intense emotion that Ramin has). Sierra was excellent and the best Christine I have seen so far (Emmy Rossum was also very good in the 2004 version, but sounded more classical than operatic to me). Towards the end, Sierra's emotions got the best of me and I did see she fought really hard to stay in character when she sang one last time to the Phantom. I have always been not a fan of Raoul and I still am not,but the guy who played him in this version has an amazing voice and played his character well! I think he exaggerated his performance just a tiny bit, but at least he didn't have an emotional breakdown on stage. For the lady who played Carlotta was hilarious and she is right up there next to Minnie Driver's 2004 version. It was great having Carlotta as the snobbish but sort of comedy reliever that makes the story less intense. All in all, like I said everyone on the stage performed well into their characters and I truly want to see them perform in other Broadway roles as well. Well worth watching on Netflix and be sure to have a box of tissues near you...just in case.

Snow White and the Huntsman
(2012)

Hope to see an Unrated version of this movie
Well I just saw Snow White and the Huntsman today with one of my friends and my older sister. I had been anticipating for this movie to come out in theaters for months and it is all because I love Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron! The film started out good and I was getting really into it, until the dwarfs' part came and that's when things started to fall apart a little. I was expecting more than what I got from the trailers, but felt a little disappointed. If they come out with an unrated version, I would be happy to watch it because I know that there were some stuff edited out due to the time limit. Kristen Stewart was...well just herself, however I did see a slight improvement in her acting. Chris Hemsworth was still his good-looking self, but I don't know what kind of an accent he was trying to pull off and wished he stuck to his Australian accent. Out of all the characters, Charlize Theron's evil Queen Ravenna was pretty much the best and I wished they would show more of her. Besides hating Ravenna, I actually loved her! The guy who played Prince William was good, but he wasn't in the movie that much. On a positive note, I loved the music by James Newton Howard especially the ending song by Florence and the Machine :) The cinematography, CGI, and setting were pretty impressive. Snow White and the Huntsman was an alright film but not the best. It's still a "see it in theaters" movie and if parents are planning on taking their kids to see it, please beware that there are a few scenes that maybe a little disturbing.

Centurion
(2010)

A good movie...not recommended for young children
I have never seen any of Neil Marshall's films, so this was the first of his films that I saw. Centurion was a good movie but not the greatest, tho I liked it but it will never get as close to Ridley Scott's Gladiator. However it was more brutal than Gladiator, it was quite entertaining to watch. Some of the parts were a little too graphic for me though.

I understood where Marshall was going with this film, because it's about the disappearance of Rome's ninth legion and what might have caused them to vanish from history from his point of view. Most suggest that a Celtic tribe may have been responsible and there are doubts on whether the Legion reached Scotland or not.

Michael Fassbender and Dominic West were good but I couldn't take them seriously as Roman soldiers and was very used to their roles as Spartans. Olga Kurylenko as the cold-hearted and brutal huntress did good but her role is not as memorable since her character remained mute the entire time.

Centurion is one of those movies that allows the audience to question which side is good and which side is bad. Do we pity more on the Picts or the surviving Romans? Which side is protecting themselves? Centurion is a good movie, but it's definitely not recommended for young children and for those that are not used to graphic violence.

Robin Hood
(2010)

Ridley Scott at his best!
I just saw the new Robin Hood film in theaters and it didn't disappoint me throughout. With an all star cast led by Academy Award winners Russel Crowe and Cate Blanclett, they all did an amazing job portraying their characters. The one actor that blew me away was Oscar Isaac who played the arrogant and snobby King John.He put so much enthusiasm in his part that his character looked really believable!

Some people say that the film looked somewhat like Gladiator, but that's because Russel Crowe's in it and Ridley Scott directed it. And in case you haven't noticed: All of Ridley Scott's films look the same! However his films never disappointed the audience and the critics.

This film takes you back to what Robin Hood was like before he was declared an outlaw, just in case you get confused.

Filled with fun action, romance, and humor, Robin Hood's the kind of film that I do recommend others to see and it's worth seeing again in theaters (if you truly loved it for the first time)!
