Renegade
(1992)

not so good, really
Renegade is pretty entertainment show for teenagers with lots of action, but that's practically it. After you pass eighteen, you start to point out all rubbish in the plot, and than you realize, it's actually just one big rubbish after all. Reno Raines is an ex-cop, who framed for a murder (sounds familiar to anyone?), and he constantly on the run, working at his free time as bounty hunter. However, it seems that this fact is not bothering him too much. Raines (terribly played by Lamas) acting like a playboy, who drives from town to town, beginning an instant affair every time, and every time trying to prove that his bounties are innocent! Well, I don't know how a guy is making a living this way. I don't know, what runaway will keep a long hair, huge Harley, and will catch criminals for living, exposing himself to cops every time. Raines acts like superb idiot. Plot is a one big hole and acting is terrible. They had good camera operators, who were shooting bike rides, that is an only thing I remembered. I'll give it 5 of 10, and that's more than it really deserve.

GoldenEye
(1995)

Xenia Onatopp is only refreshing thing here
Looking back, it sad to admit that James Bond movies became total parody on itself. Cliché agent, cliché script, only stunt work and gadgets are only thing that improves from film to film. Goldeneye doesn't have single original idea for except main female villain, who crushes men with her tights. OK, mr. Campbell, where did you get this idea? In Basic Instinct? Anyway, Xenia Onatopp is only refreshing thing in this movie. It almost a dream for man to die like this. However, her fights with Bond are totally unrealistic. No way, guy would escape her. It seems that she having mercy him in a last moment, or she just wants to get more of her masochistic pleasure. Eventually, it takes two to get over her. Yeah... What would Bond do without sidekicks?

Double Impact
(1991)

Cory Everson is only refreshing thing here
Despite once it was explosive, dynamite movie, today it looks as cheap b-grade movie (which is actually is). Bad edition in twin parts, bad acting from everyone (obviously, to let Van Damme to be in his highlights), cliché script and lots of unbelievable action. It's never enough of Van Damme in focus, if you his fan, but that's very disturbing. There is only one refreshing thing here - Cory Everson as sexy female villain, frisking girls (a lesbian?!) and try to choke Van Damme with her legs, showing her incredibly sexy butt on a way. Too bad, they didn't showed more of it. It was most interesting part in this movie. But Van Damme had to kill her no matter what - what a lady hater! Cory is sexy as hell here, and Van Damme... is still Van Damme. For better and worse.

Cambio de sexo
(1977)

Abril and Andersen - you are best!
I didn't have a much knowledge of Spanish cinema until I started to watch Almodovar/Aranda movies. Sure you can't put them on same rate. They share only two things - a lot of sex scenes and Victoria Abril. It was interesting to see, how it all started. Here we can see 17-years old Abril playing teenager named Jose Maria with identity problem. Not easiest part to do, but she manages perfectly - as always. After getting himself into lots of trouble, Jose Maria finally becomes a dancer in night club and manages to find his love. Besides Victoria Abril we can see here a real transsexual Bibiana Andersen/Fernandez, who might to drive any man insane only with one look (in positive meaning only). She starrs as herself and Jose Maria's spiritual teacher. She's a quite good actress, really. Too bad Almodovar didn't gave her big enough parts. However her screen relationships with Jose Maria didn't last too long, and this is one part in the script that I hated. As about script in particular - it could be much better. Starts OK, continiues slowly, ending sloppy. The whole movie is generally cute, but not much else. Though, it worth watching because of Abril and Andersen. If you want to spend your time watching something nice and not too depressing - go for it.

Pushed to the Limit
(1992)

Crushing movie 'contains possible spoilers'
The movie is pointless, and I'm not very clear, who and why wanted to shoot this thing anyway. It looks like, somebody decided, Mimi Lesseous is good actress, and decided to do a movie about it. Well, it didn't work out. The only interesting (in a way) thing in this movie is method of female villain, Mimi opposing. She flips already knock outed guys (girls in this case)takes their arms and legs and crashes their spine. Sadistic method, must I say. I'm not sure you'll going to watch movie just for that, so you can skip to fighting (which is not taking too much of time) and forget the rest. Good luck next time, if there will be any.

Gladiator Cop
(1995)

Only one thing will interest you here
Yeah, no doubt it's weirdest movie I've ever seen. Combined from archive footage of his predecessor, it's unique, totally dumb and senseless. It may be interesting only to lovers of B-grade underground fighting, but that's it. CGA are lame, acting is gone, James Hong is pointless. There is only one good thing in this stinker - music. It's better than whole movie itself. I'm not a big fan of b-movies, but I liked Swordsman (1993), the predecessor. However this one, is shame for cinema. Oh, yeah... There one scene, in which Astrid Falconi shows her muscles, while making love to some guy. That's was only thing that was interesting. The production hadn't enough money to show her breasts, which is too bad. Good luck for next time.

Highlander
(1992)

Highlander - for teenagers only!
It's been a while since I saw "Highlander", TV series. Lately I watched it again on YouTube, and I can't say I was too much impressed. Despite its original plot, show just doesn't get over being another "I'll kick your butt, bastard" plank. Yeah, I know it was made for teenagers, but still...

The show is lame on everything - especially lighting and camera work. Lighting is always flat, sometimes even became grain (which is look disastrous), cameramen is unsure what they are filming, CGA effects either lame, either same. Episodes that were shot in Canada are a little bit more accurate, but that's it.

First two seasons are stupid as far, as you can get with screen writing. Dull dialogues, provided by bad actors (everybody besides Elizabet Grasen and Jim Byrnes). Methos is awful - who was responsible on casting, anyway? Plot is almost always the same. Bad guy comes, Highlander wonders if he should to take his head off, and eventually does. Nobody ever thought of showing us Mcleod merging in modern society or trying to explain, how does he do it. No, it have to stay "You and me, right now!" No fantasy at all.

OK, I can speak for a long time, but that's enough. I don't know why this show held on for so long. It should be over after two seasons tops. If you not teenager, and you over twenty, watch some episodes of season 4, and then quit watch it at all. I can give 5 stars from ten, and it's more than it deserves.
