I don't really understand why this movie has such bad reviews. The story, as the actors, are good. Yes, it could have more action but that is not the point of this movie as it plays with the psychological intensity of not knowing what is happening elsewhere. This movie tries to imagine what could happen and what people would do in this situation of isolation with no way to get information on the current situation. All communication are shutdown, strange phenomenoms, animals acting weird. And you share a house with total strangers. Little by little, the director gives us somme clues until the final revelation. Good job. It is captivating, but it really needs a sequel to know more about the events and to develop the story.

First, I have to say that I read the Foundation cycle by Asimov and honestly, it is not the best SF reading I had. Don't get me wrong, it's very good and settled a lot of the SF of today. I am a big fan. But it was sometimes painful or annoying to read as some parts were not as good as others. So, I wasn't expecting too much from a TV adaptation as it would be hard to get well-rendered this complicated universe. But what a good surprise ! The authors took the best from the books and created a unique and captivating story that, in my opinion, transcends the work of Asimov. My only advice is to forget the books and enjoy this SF TV show only as inspired by the universe of Asimov. You won't be disappointed.

Honestly I didn't expect too much from this movie. But, damn, what a good surprise! Some reviewers find it slow : I disagree. The movie has the right rythm and lets the story take place as it should be. The story is good, the actors are good, the sets are good and the soundtrack is good.

Definitely worth a viewing.

Well, there are a few french TV show that is worth watching. Mixte is one of them. Well-acted and well-written, it has Aldo these true « retro » and nostalgia touches that keep us scotched to the screen.

Very far from the now Marvel standard and fortunately, it works very well! If you are into FX, you won't probably like this show. But this one has a soul that most of the super heroes movies and TV shows don't have. And honestly, I love listening to the characters speak norwegian !

Too soon to give a note or a decent review for this TV show as there is only one episode released for now. But this first episode is good and announce a promising plot for the future. Can't wait to see what's coming next !

Let me be clear : when it comes to watch a super heroes movie or TV show, I don't expect to be dazzled. Stories are often very simplistic or predictable, actors don't give their best but visual effects make them watchable. In the case of Iron Fist, story is simplistic and predictable and actors are, for most of them, pretty bad. And not enough visual effects to counterbalance. It is not the worst super hero TV show I've seen but not the best either. If I have the courage, I will try to watch the next season but honestly, it won't be my priority. I still hope that the season 2 will be improved because this hero deserves a better treatment!
