Crossing Jordan: Justice Delayed
(2004)
Episode 5, Season 4

Unsettling Episode...
Both situations in this episode were unsettling, the first with diametrically opposing views of a death that would impact people's lives and the related insubordination that one person did which could destroy lives. The second, the racism that occurred in the 1960's which is not understandable today and in the North. The comment about mowing lawns & pulling "white peoples" weeds for $3 a day at age was just meant to stir hatred and racism. Based on dates, ages and comments that would have been around 1950. In 1965 I was mowing & pulling white peoples weeds for 50 cents an hour but if it took me 6 hours I would never be hired again. In 1969, at 16 I was working for a national company pumping gas, washing windshields, checking oil and airing tires in "black peoples' cars for 90 cents an hour or about $4.50 to $7.20 a day depending on how many hours I worked. $3. In 1950 was about $4.60 in 1969 and would be like paying a 14 y/o $35-$40 now. So money items need to be taking in perspective without the emotion...

CSI: Cyber
(2015)

I really, really, really wanted to like this show...
But I can't. I tried watching this show and saw about 5 or 6 episodes when it first came out. Now it is in syndication and I have watched 3 more. At least one of them was one I had seen the first time. There is so much mediocre about this show but I decided that there was one thing that was just terrible. It was the casting. I have tried to figure out who. I realized I could even tolerate Van der Beek. I even enjoyed McNicols and Kiyoko. Koontz could have been bearable is if he had been surrounded by a decent cast and better writing, science and situations. Patricia Arquette acted (or should I say behaved because she wasn't acting) like a sleep walking psychic. There was something so wrong about Chad Moss that I almost changed stations when he was on. It was a great idea that left all its "greatness" in it's concept.

The Closer: Good Housekeeping
(2005)
Episode 9, Season 1

This title was misleading...
This was one of my favorite episodes. It should have been called "Smug Little Brat (policy made me revise my wording) gets his comeuppance." I really don't know how legal or ethical the action taken was but sometimes when people manipulate the law to their advantage it seems like poetic justice for this type of things happen.

Best Night Ever
(2013)

Left bad taste.
Not saying that this is the WORST MOVIE EVER, because Hollywood has put our some real crap and I have watched too much of it. But do you know how after you've eaten something that leaves a bad taste in your mouth you have to eat something else to get the taste out. Well right now I am trying to find other movies with these lovely ladies in them to take the bad memories and images out of my mind. As I can remember some of these actors in other productions they were not this bad. I remember Crista Flanagan on Mad Men and found Desiree Hall on and Old CSI:Miami DVD. I vaguely remember Samantha Colburn as the mother of an kidnapped girl in a recent Criminal Minds episode. All of these roles showed more talent and range than this. I am certain I can write better acting by these ladies in my dreams.

Certain Prey
(2011)

They didn't mesh with my expectations of the characters
It is the adaptation of a book and it played out like a book, with narrations and other adaptation problems. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't that good. I thought Mark Harmon did a very good job of portraying Lucas Davenport. He really captured the world-weariness of Davenport as I had pictured him in the book, without going over the top with the character nor playing another hard charging "Gibbs" role. Davenport was an older cop who had been doing this a long time so I thought this would be a good role for Harmon. I have always liked Mark Harmon and he is just a bit older than I am.

As for the other characters they seemed to be poorly cast and poorly acted. I have never liked Lola Glaudini who played Carmel (even though her body looked great). I didn't like her when she was on Criminal Minds. The guy who played Hale is nowhere near what I expected especially with the ranting about how good looking he was but was dumber than a box of lint or whatever they said. Both Athena Karkanis ...Marcy and Tatiana Maslany ...Clara Rinker were, I don't know..... poorly cast, poorly developed and poorly acted. And I don't think these were bad actors based on other roles I have seem them play. Maybe it was poor directing. But they didn't mesh with my expectations of the characters.

Over all I was disappointed, expected more and will watch another NCIS marathon if I want to watch Mark Harmon act.......

Fairly Legal
(2011)

Refresh Justice
Finally a show that is new, fresh and more unpredictable than anything on TV. Our legal system is not about truth or even justice it is all about the law and which lawyers best spin it to their advantage. This show produces fair and just settlements that benefit all and at the least cost, not the pompous arrogant people TV portrays lawyers to be. (I know one show says that attorneys MAKE the laws.) I know there are times it gets to be a little sappy but I am tired of shows with all the blood, guts and bodies. It even gives sappiness a fresh spin. The characters have real personality, but that is USA network's motto. To top this all off Sarah Shahi is super-hot. I hope this show runs for many seasons and not just 10 episodes so far......
