I can fix this series by deleting just ten seconds. Delete the scene where Jonathan recalls murders Elena and leave the ending open. There, fixed.

So Ruth is having a difficult time getting over the cartel's visit yet she's talking to her dad about betraying them by stealing Marty's money? And Ruth is supposed to be smart? Horrible character development.
