The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee
(2020)

Nice little feelgood movie.
I actually did think Paul has passed. I nice little surprise for me and loved the dig at Hollywood virtue signaling too. The cameos from the actors was a lot of fun. Well worth a look.

The Batman
(2022)

Had to switch off after 45 mins
Dark, depressing, slow drawling dialogue, pointless characters who I couldn't care less about. The actor was not suitable for the roll imo.

This movie didn't need to be made but if having done so they should have used Ben Affleck.

I was losing the will live by 45 mins and that 45 mins seemed like 2 hours.

I'll rewatch most of the previous movies to remove this mess from my mind.

The Watch
(2020)

An abomination of great characters in wonderful books.
An abomination of great characters in wonderful books.

Only one actor came close to the book characters and that was Vimesey.

Nothing but box ticking insertions whose acting talent are not ready for grownup productions.

A shameful effort by the BBC in wasting licence payers money.

DefundtheBBC.

Westworld
(2016)

S1 brilliant. S2 meh, S3 White man bad, kill 'em all.
Oh how the mighty have fallen, Season 1 was very nearly a masterpiece all characters were written and developed and a great story that closely paid homage to original movie. S2 was a could have been good series and watched only because the S1 was so good, but it failed to inspire and disappointing by the end/ S3 Well, tried many time time to watch it only to be convinced #Getwokegobroke An insult to the first season.

Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker
(2019)

Utter tripe
Well! What utter tripe The rise of Skywalker was! Felt like a virtue signalling three year old wrote the script. I want my 2 hours 22 minutes back! Oh well, back to watching the Mark Hamill trilogies to cure my dismay.

Hellboy
(2019)

Well, it's not a one star nor is it a ten!
Fairly good effects, some decent acting and some bloody terrible acting. Some pointless characters. It tries too hard to be like Hellboy 1 & 2 in places. A poor reboot but watchable with a beer. I'd have felt robbed had I seen at a cinema. It did rip-off a couple of other movie ideas but that's ok if not too obvious.

Roadside Prophets
(1992)

A very pleasant surprise of an oldish road movie.
I'm a biker and was looking for something bike related to watch and came across this rather pleasant quirky little movie. It won't win any awards for the acting but the actors did a very passable job and the desert scenery was wonderful bringing memories of my trip there many years ago on some of those very roads. Considered a cult film written and directed by Abbe Wool, featuring musicians John Doe of the L.A. punk band X, and Adam Horovitz of the Beastie Boys, with cameo appearances by, amongst others, Timothy Leary, Arlo Guthrie, David Carradine, an uncharacteristic performance by John Cusack as Caspar, a self-styled "Symbionese" rebel, and a very early film performance by Don Cheadle. Give it a go if you're a biker and maybe if you're not :)
