Knights of the Zodiac
(2023)

Let me save you some nerves
If you're a fan of Saint Seiya like me, don't watch it 'cause you'll get extremly annoyed. I understand that not everything can be like in the anime or manga, but these dolts who constantly make live actions cannot stick to the basic lore EVER and they fail to understand that it's the stoy and the backstories, character development and replationships that drew in the fans to ANIME AND MANGA and those people should be their target audience and not the normies who, btw, think this is garbage. Visual efects are meh but I would endure it if the story was acceptable but it wasn't. It's basically Jean Grey creating her army of cosmo mutants to hunt down Athena. I won't even mention the butchering of plot and other characters, and if you're interested in Sean Bean or Mackenyu go watch some better movies with them.

No Time to Die
(2021)

Spectre should have been the last chapter
High hopes, but was disappointed. Everything was forced, story was not that good comparing to the last 4 movies. Too many plot holes, recycled plot which was drawn out to the max. In comparison to Casino Royale to finish like this... Such a let down. There were some good action scenes, but I think this is the worst of the Craig Bond movies.

Nicky Larson et le parfum de Cupidon
(2018)

I can't believe it!
I prepared myself for the worst, thinking it's going to be something lame and another blasphemy like DB live action but I was so pleasantly surprised! It's the most fateful adaptation of City Hunter and any anime/manga live-action I've ever seen (close to comparing it with Rurouni Kenshin). So much effort put into portraying the essence of City Hunter and the characters and it's so entertaining and hilarious. City Hunter fans give it a shot don't be afraid.

City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes
(2019)

Enjoyable
As a City Hunter longtime fan, I loved this movie. Was it without flaws? No, but this was an attempt to pull the famous 80's manga/anime into current times, and I think it's a success. Nothing new plotwise, but again, it wasn't supposed to be something out of the box, just an adaptation where old and new fans can experience the essence of City Hunter. Ryo is a pervert and you betcha there's gonna be a lot of that. I personally find it hilarious but can understand if new fans don't like that. p.s. I'm gonna mention this cause my friends were confused when I introduced them to City Hunter (and this movie) having previously watched Angel Heart. Angel Heart is an alternative universe with the same characters and is not a continuation of City Hunter.

Once Upon a Time
(2011)

The downfall started after season 3
After season 3, it only got worse for me. I only watched the show to get some sort of conclusion for Regina, Emma and Killian even though it was painful to watch since they ran out of ideas, which is sad cause I liked the play on fairy tales.

The Darkest Minds
(2018)

Expected it to be okay, but was disappointed.
Didn't read the books, but I read the summary and let me say it is better than this movie. The major plot twist is revealed right in the beginning, and the rest of the movie has a wrong and confusing pace, with the lack of character development and bonds between the characters. Really loved the idea, poor execution.

Final Score
(2018)

Watchable
Didn't have high expectations, but I kinda enjoyed the movie. Nothing you haven't seen before. Very similar to Sudden Death with Jean-Claude Van Damme. Lots of plot holes, but it's a good action movie with a decent cast.

Constantine: City of Demons
(2018)

For supernatural and horror cravings (movie)
I loved the movie, and portrayal of Constantine. I think it did him justice, story being pretty dark and heartbreaking with a nod to all things comes with a price and sacrifice. You can feel the despair and most realistically done human nature with a plenty of gore and blood. I'm looking forward for more Constantine movies.

Batman: Gotham by Gaslight
(2018)

Liked it.
I'm a big fan of the Victorian/steampunk age and a good mystery especially if it's Jack the Ripper. I had hope to see more of Batman's detective skills, but oh well. Loved this adaptation and a plot twist. An enjoyable AU story.

Batman and Harley Quinn
(2017)

Wacky and funny as hell
Plot wise, not much to say, but then again it isn't about the plot it's about DC humor, or better yet, Harley's humor. To me it was very entertaining. For mature crowd, since it has some "adult humor." All in all a good tribute to the Adam West TV series.

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay
(2018)

Enjoyable, I recommend it
Action packed, bloody, with a good story. Loved every minute of it.

Venom
(2018)

Better than I expected
Enjoyed the movie and Tom Hardy's acting. It's funny and entertaining. I think it's a well executed movie with a potential of growing.

Bleach: Burîchu
(2018)

Why not?
Yeah sure, there were things I disliked and casting that I couldn't quite digest (Byakuya and Renji look like home made cosplay, I won't go there), but It was fun watching this movie. I have mixed feelings, but the "good old Bleach feeling" is there. It's certainly better than most, if not all, anime/manga live action adaptation, it's not quite on Rurouni Kenshin live action level, but I like it. I also think, when doing live action, that they have to respect certain absolute things in manga/anime storyline, but also change a few things, and that's exactly what this live action adaptation of Bleach did. I also hope there will be sequel since the whole saving Rukia and soul society arc is the best arc in Bleach.
