I watched it expecting to be moved to tears. By the end of the movie I felt as though every storyline fell flat. The story with his family was forced and the actors lacked chemistry. The story line with regards to his struggles as a black man seemed washed over. The brotherhood storyline also fell flat. It didn't hold my attention nor did it encite an emotion from me. It had so much potential. I was however surprised at how much I like Glen Powell and how he played his character. I think if they had written this right him and Majors could have really done something great but unfortunately the writing was bland.

The characters where without depth.

They should have stuck with one story line ... Either the vigilante story line or the serial killer with parent issues.

Ben Kingsley and Stanley Tucci were the only good characters

Great science fiction / oceanic fantasy with an adult tone. The story is captivating from the first episode to the last, which is hard to come by. Great acting; not cheesy in the slightest. Can't wait for season 2!
