Escape to Grizzly Mountain
(2000)

Flash back to Grizzly Adams :)
Growing up in NYC Grizzly Adams was on TV at 3am. For two years I'd wake up, sneak into living room & put a blanket on the TV (floor model) and watch this show. Grizzly Adams was one of my most treasured parts of growing up, how I wanted to live just like him lol. Anyway.... This movie is not grizzly adams but the warm feeling, bear, beautiful scenery are still there & so is Dan. Any true nature lover or Grizzly Adams fan will love this film. I have looked years on ebay to get the series but no luck, this is the closetest you can get in a sense. My score 10/10, bought back the memories, warm feeling, and was just the cutest bear cub you ever seen, how I wish one day I can hug a bear cub :(

Born Free
(1966)

A Must See for Any Age Group.
The story of Joy Adanson & Elsa is unlike any love story you will ever see. I seen this when I was young at camp, I was so upset that my mother had to pick me up. I never fully watched this movie until I was 21 & bought the VHS, just to say I had it in my collection. Well I finally seen the whole thing & although I have grown up, it still hit me hard. I think the part that hit me hardest was the thought they had to give her up. Being an animal lover, I'd give anything to be able to live outside in the wild with a pet lion like Joy did, or even a pet bear like Grizzly Adams. The quote that stayed with me has always been when Joy tells her husband George " She was born free & deserves to live free". Also note this movie has won awards in 1966 (same year I was born lol), also has an amazing song which till this day brings back tears if anyone plays it near me or family goofing & singing it. I felt happy when Elsa finally was able to hunt for herself & I cheered her on when she met her first male lion. I adored Georges game warden friend who always seem to get them time off to work with Elsa. Its a must see movie if your an animal lover. Also see the sequel "Living Free". Also this was my first book report lol.

Threads
(1984)

Lesson In Life
For starters let me say every review here is correct. This movie will keep you up at night, not like Freddy or Jason, but out of fear & depression. I seen this movie 2 years ago & I own it on DVD, but this is a "view it once & you will never forget it" movie. This movie needs to be played at house of congress, every fast talking politician, president, needs to see this movie I think. I know this movie scared the crap out of me & I'm 38 years old. I too grew up in the 80's with a fear of nuclear war & I seen The Day After, let me tell you, Threads makes The Day After look like a Disney toon. I am American & live in USA & the same way this is in Uk, this can happen here, location don't mean a thing when you got big war hungry people in office & people who think using nukes would benefit the current cause. I for one, hope this will never be a reality, but if it is I hope I go fast, I hate to think of eating rats lol.

Manilow Live!
(2000)

Even Now.....This One's For You !!
Oh my god I honestly don't know where to start. My husband laughed at me for wanting this, but I won & got it. This video is full of laughs, tears, memories, all in one. 30 years & still going strong Barry captures the fans & pulls on your strings all over again . And he shares some private stuff like his memories of growing up in Brooklyn Ny & a record of him & his grandfather. Not to mention he sings a duet with a fan name Michelle (who honestly I thought she would have a stroke on stage). All in all I'm willing to bet that most of the votes on here are from woman, If you are into early Manilow or just looking for a trip down the 1970's lane then this is for you. If you love " Mandy, this ones for you, daybreak, even now, cant smile with out," or you wanna see a concert where fans join in, this movie is for you. If you never been to a Manilow concert & wanna see him before he dies, this movie is for you. My vote 10 stars out of 10. And just so you know I'm female & this bought up so many memories I found myself crying to these songs :)

Demon Seed
(1977)

great movie
This movie deserves much more ratings & reviews. This movie was great back in 1977, it was so much ahead of its time. Even in 2004 this is still a great movie. When I was younger & seen this movie, I thought " man what a cool house ", then once the stuff started happening, I was like " oh man it fights back ", need I say for awhile I was scared of stuff in house ( TV, fridge, stove, stero). I have this movie on VHS & have lent it to friends to watch, they all enjoy it , some not as much as I, but they all agree this movie is ahead of its time. I strongly suggest anyone who has not seen this movie, don't listen to the reviews, go watch it for yourself & you decide.

Qualcosa di biondo
(1984)

Aurora !!
Truly a very good movie for its time, Aurora is determined to find a cash cow to pay for her sons surgery, she seeks out all of her past lovers & says the kid is theres, each man gives her money just so she goes away, in the end she finds true happiness with one guy & even after he knows the truth. In this movie Sophias real son, plays her son. great performance by both, a delight to watch.
