We really enjoyed the movie. It was not a deep plot and there were certainly some missing pieces to the plot, but overall it was an enjoyable movie that the whole family could watch. The acting was better than many movies and the central themes were positive.

The movie might have been better to me because I have never seen the cartoon version of the movie. I think sometimes people become so entranced with a movie that when it is redone that people cannot accept the changes. Some times this is warranted as in the 1997 version of Twelve Angry Men, but sometimes I think it is the inability to move forward. The movie was done well in much the same style as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with some fantastic and unrealistic moves, but it is still entertaining and with wonderful cinematography. I really enjoyed the movie.
