Keeping Up with the Kardashians
(2007)

Skip this disaster
Superficiality is at its very best with the Kardashian family.

This whole shallow, single digit IQ family is just sad, sad, sad. I watched three episodes to give it a fair shot and felt more nauseated with each one I watched. Kim is a dumb ditz who is desperate for any kind of attention, Khloe is a smart-a** who thinks she's much smarter than she really is, Kourtney is cold and unemotional, Scott is a candy a** flake, Kris is the definition of 'mommy dearest' and Bruce is reminiscent of someone who uses plastic surgery as compensation for the misery he seemingly lives in every day. This family is seriously the cradle of idiocy and I'm only happy that my family is nothing like theirs. Does anybody in this family have a college education? Does anyone have a lick of common sense or intelligence. If so, it doesn't show through on the show.

The Kardashians are a perfect example of that old adage "Money can't buy class."

Lizard Lick Towing
(2011)

BEST reality show television has to offer :)
Omg..people need to LIGHTEN UP!! It's not supposed to be 100% real; that's why it's called entertainment. If you want true reality and nothing more, watch CNN or the History channel. I'd rather be watching this than some drama loaded trash like Real Housewives...that's for sure. I am a country girl myself and these people remind me of home :) Personally, I LOVE this show and never miss an episode. Ronnie, Amy and Bobby are likable, down to Earth, honest people who run an honest business. There's nothing wrong in that. For those complaining about hoo rough and tough they are? HELLO?? They are running a repo business and repossessing cars from lazy lumps who don't pay their bills; they're not playing Chinese checkers. You have to be rough and tumble in a business like that. Amy is a take charge, in your face woman who is not intimidated by anyone and is not afraid to speak her mind; I admire and respect that. Ronnie's witticisms are hilarious and always crack me up. Bobby is a hardworking and loyal employee/friend who, unfortunately, gets the crap end of the stick by doing most of the dirty work Lol..he's great to watch though and I like him. And Juicy is HILARIOUS!! She cracks me up all the time.

I know that some things are fictionalized; like Bobby dating and having girlfriends. In real life, he's married and has children (or at least that's what I've read from numerous sources). All in all, I think this show is awesome and shows the down and dirty side of the repo business.

I also love the fact that Ronnie and Amy's home life with their children is sometimes showcased; they look like wonderful parents and their kids are cute! My favorite episode was the one where their daughter was born. That was amazing :) This is a terrific show and I will be a loyal viewer as long as they keep it on the air.

The Middle
(2009)

Finally!! A good family show!!
I am so pleased that there is finally a good family show on the air that doesn't promote social/political stances and shove their viewpoint in everyone's face! Patricia Heaton is back and with a vengeance! I have been a fan of Ms. Heaton's every since her days on Thirty Something and Everybody Loves Raymond. Her comedic timing is dead on and her facial expressions suit the moment perfectly; not to mention that her acting skills are per near flawless. When you watch this show, you can really feel what the family is going through and that is, at least in part, due to Patricia Heaton's performance.

Eden Shur as Sue Heck is brilliant! I was the Sue Heck of my school and remember vividly trying out for everything and always failing yet I always stayed optimistic that eventually, something would turn out :) My parents were always supportive of me as well although I'm sure my school years debacles were a source of humor for them as Sue's are for her parents. Charlie McDermott is hilarious as Axel..oh my gosh! He reminds me of my high school boyfriend. Neil Flynn and Atticus Shaffer are wonderful as well.

I enjoy this show completely and hope it stays on the air for a long time!!

Judge Judy
(1996)

Judge Judy...Reality at its best!
I love this show and have since the beginning! Judge Judy is a fair, no-nonsense woman who knows the law and does not allow those who run afoul of the law to get away with it. I appreciate, admire and respect her direct, go for the throat style. We live in a society of pansy whiners who get offended over every little thing and believe they should be pandered to no matter what pathetic they are. If you don't break the law and do the right thing, you have nothing to worry about.

There is a reason why this show consistently rates high in the ratings and why it has been on the air since 1996. If it was a garbage show, it would have been gone long ago.

We need more people like Judge Judy in this world. She knows the letter of the law and tells it to others like the straight shooter she is. I'm sorry if the whiners don't like her and label her 'mean' or whatever...don't break the law and you'll have no problem with her :)

Hardcore Pawn
(2009)

Hardcore Pawn is entertaining, but trashy.
I have watched this series from its inception so this review is written by someone who has knowledge of the show and hasn't seen just a couple of episodes.

First of all, let me start with Les Gold. Les is, fundamentally, a kindhearted man. He's got a good business head on his shoulders and has been in this business for many, many years. He knows the pawn business, no doubt. What I don't like is now narcissistic he is and the way he treated his longtime employee, Rich, over a minor issue was inexcusable. Rich has been there 25+ years and Les throws him under the bus over some minor mistakes? That's crazy. Good employees are hard to find which brings me to my next issue; Les's children, Seth and Ashley.

I think both Seth and Ashley are extremely immature and both have a ton of growing up to do. Instead of spending all of their time arguing with each other and trying to outdo each other, they should expend that same amount of energy into running the business. Behaving the way they do in front of customers (screaming and swearing at each other) is ludicrous and makes them look like the spoiled rotten brats they are. Seth thinks he can do no wrong and Ashley spends 99% of her 'work' day glaring at people or trying to find a way to start drama with Seth. Grow up already; this is a woman raising two children? Geesh..Family or not, they would not last two seconds in my business. Both of them drive away customers with their nastiness. Ashley clearly has some anger issues and is probably the biggest drama queen on television. She shouldn't have a reality show; she should have her own soap opera! Seth doesn't have enough respect for his dad and the fact that his dad has been in this business for a long time and knows his stuff. All three (Les, Ashley and Seth) need to rise above the drama and not engage people trying to cause trouble. It may make for entertaining television but it does nothing to instill confidence in potential customers. That's only my opinion though. This is a business, not a Broadway stage. They would do well to remember that.

My third issue with this show is the fact that they do not make fair deals. I know; it's a pawn shop but come on....Some of their offers are downright insulting. Personally, I have never had need of a pawn shop but if I ever did, I would probably not choose this one. 9 out of ten times, they do not offer anywhere NEAR what an item is worth. All they do is look on Ebay and see what the item is and how much it's going for..there's a LOT more to researching an item and Ebay is not a reputable source as it is the seller setting the price. Each item should be appraised by a professional prior to bringing it in so you have some idea what you are dealing with and how to haggle..and not to get screwed ;)

My favorite on the show is Rich (although I'm not sure he's still on there). He is one of the only reasons I continued to tune in. He's sharp, funny, cute and knows his stuff..he's easygoing, laid back and brings some real 'reality' to this show that really does nothing more than showcases the decay of Western society.

Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation
(1992)

Revenge of the Nerds...a new generation.
OK; I don't get all the negative reviews here. I will list what I did and did not like about this film. Being that I am a HUGE Robert Carradine fan, I was pleased as punch to see him reprise his role as Lewis Skolnick. You can replace a lot of actors in a lot of roles but not this one; Mr. Carradine owns it and nobody could ever do what he's done with this character. I also liked seeing Julia Montgomery back in her role as Betty and Curtis Armstrong as Booger. I didn't care for the "new generation" of nerds. Toyota is just a bad ripoff of Booger, I don't understand that Edith character at all and the character of Harold Skolnick seriously lacked the charm of the original nerds. I liked how Stan Gable finally came to understand who he is and to embrace himself; seems like he finally learned how to take responsibility for his own life. All in all, this was a cute movie but it did not have the charm of the original or the first sequel. My favorite part was the end when the original nerds came back to support Lewis. The actor who played Gilbert bore a striking similarity to Anthony Edwards. I would love to see another ROTN come out; perhaps with Lewis and Betty's son now at Adam's College? I would watch that most definitely!!!

Zookeeper
(2011)

A great family movie!!
I'm not sure what the negative reviews regarding this movie are about but speaking for myself and my husband, we enjoyed this movie immensely! This is a wonderful movie for the entire family and people of all ages. It's a nice, light comedy that doesn't fail to deliver. Kevin James is at his usual comic best; the physical comedy is hilarious and his timing is impeccable. You will be laughing from beginning to end. What I liked most about this movie is that it gives the animals a real voice; particularly Bernie who was once abused by another zookeeper and, as a result, got put into solitary confinement in a dark cave. This movie showed that animals do have feelings and that they need to be respected and treated with kindness and compassion. All in all, this movie is definitely worth seeing; you won't regret it!! I give this film 10 stars and a million thumbs up.

Impractical Jokers
(2011)

Awesome show
I think this show is hilarious!! I have never laughed as hard in my whole life as when I watch this show. Murr is definitely my favorite; he has the most infectious smile I've ever seen..he's just adorable. All 4 of these guys are very talented and what I enjoy most is the fact that their reactions are so genuine and don't seem scripted and fake as so many other shows do. The looks on people's faces are positively priceless!! Sal's reactions are perfect and he seems like someone who is very well-mannered and doesn't want to say or do anything to offend anyone; particularly if it's a pretty girl he's trying to pull one over on. This is a show I will continue to watch as long as it's on the air and my family and friends are big fans of it as well. Keep up the good work guys!!
