Harkonnen2's rating
The movie while not fantastic storywise was very enjoyable and well worth going to see it. The visuals where beyond fantastic and makes this years other blockbuster CGI look like a joke. Would recommended strongly seeing it in 3D, while its mostly a novelty that because in most cases its done cheaply as a gimmic. Not in this case .The biggest suprise was how they returned some of the characters from the 1st movie which just fit right in.
You either go see it in the cinema (biggest screen possible) or don't bother watching it at all. If your thought is to wait and stream it, save yourself 3hrs and don't bother (unless you have a great home theatre (even then....)

The big divide with reviews and rating for people will be those that are new to this property (maybe they watched the 90's movie) and those that have read The Chronicles and so have a wealth of depth and detail into the characters.
The show itself I could see being a decent if not good show and it possibly is for people unfamiliar with the IP but for me going into this as "Interview with the vampire" it was just too removed.
From the first 2 episodes the 2 main characters are nearly unrecognisable from the book versions as well as the basic rules that vampires are subjected to is completely ignored * In the novel vampires where rendered unconscious when the sun rose so having these run about and only sleeping because when it suits them I find annoying.
*Also that vampire's bodies are technically dead so no blood flow and no real sexlife * Also Louis having a setup like he does doesn't sit right (but again that might be because he is such a different character now).
The acting is solid, the writing is meh and weighted down with the typical.
If your after another vampire show that switches back and forth alot then this one might suit you and is worth a try but if you coming because your very familiar with the IP I wouldnt really both.

Watching the first episode you realise what has become too common lately is a very weak pilot episode. Originally the first episode of a show had to really Pop to get viewer to commit to watching the rest of the season but that's clearly not the case with alot of shows now.
Unless your committed to watching all MCU shows there is very little about the first episode to make you want to add this to you viewing schedule. The CGI has been improved.
* spaceship that caused the crash and sets everything into motion.........nah dont worry about it.
* after ep 1, I'm ace at everything and can master everything no problem......downside to her her being a Hulk is really on her cloths.
It kinda felt like a movie on a fast forward especially with how it ended.
