Gangcheolbi
(2017)

A nonsensical storyline
This movie's only redeeming quality is that it's not its sequel. As much as this farce tries to put a different spin on the relations between the split Koreas, it loses a lot by how weak and uninformed it portrays the South. While this is a South Korean production which shows the North in a fairly negative light, their fear in using Kim Jeong-eun's actual name is farily telling in how much faith they have in this story.

So bad, it makes the first look halfway watchable
This could easily pass for something from The Asylum. It reminded me of some of the uber-nationalistic action movies Hollywood tossed out in the 1980s. The plot is ridiculous. The Smoot-Trump character comes off as how someone who has only heard of the Orange one from secondhand accounts would create a parody of him. It's confusing as to why they have a serious plot line in what is a bad comedy. Avoid at all costs.

More inconsistent zombie claptrap
This show is about as bad and nonsensical as "Train to Busan". It's another storyline for people who don't mind having every element spoonfed to them through tropes and stereotypes. It offers no new takes on zombies, Korea's bullying culture, cheesey romantic crushes, or the ability of those in charge to take action rather than cover up an issue. If you're looking for a quality zombie story, this will be 14 hours of your life misspent. It's almost as bad as "Z Nation" but without the failed attempts at humor.

Not enough about their battle against the FBI
While this is a decent look at a band's struggle to fight the FBI calling its fans gang members, it had a lot more of the Insane Clown Posse's backstories than I would have thought. This is much more of a look at the entire history of ICP than it is about their lawsuits to have their fans taken off the gang list. If you are into the Clowns or would like to know more about them, this is an interesting movie. If you already know a lot about J and 2 Dope, then you won't find much to add to your knowledge base.

An over the top, underwhelming piece of space garbage.
South Korea had success with its overrated first zombie film, "Train to Busan", and decided to try their hand at space epics. It fails miserably. This movie comes off as though somebody heard vague descriptions of "Star Wars", "Mad Max" and "Space Balls" and decided to make their own movie combining elements of them all. The CGI is impressive, but you have to have much more than visuals to make a decent movie. The story is a nonsensical mix of elements that never come together in any meaningful way. Avoid this film. I gave it two stars only for the visuals.

Science Fiction without the science
A painful movie from start to end, "The Wandering Earth" does nothing but wander without ever arriving anywhere. The budget went into the special effects, which were fairly incredible, and not into the script.

Fake
I had watched every episode of this show. It combined two of my favorite parts of life: travel and drink. My brother was in a recent episode. He told me that Jack has a guy on his crew whose job it is to make fake drinks to look like whatever he's supposed to be drinking in that segment. What a poser. This is worse than when I found out that Santa Claus was fake and that Richard Nixon wasn't.
