Succession: Connor's Wedding
(2023)
Episode 3, Season 4

Mouth dropped.
The ride the direction take you on with this script is relentless. Just wow! One of the best episodes of anything ever. The acting by the Roy kids and by Tom is what makes me love the art. I really hope they all go on to do more things after this show ends this season because they are all master class at their trade. This felt more like a Shakespearean play with all the twists and gut punches. I really felt the emotions of the characters and that's what makes me love film. There was nothing going on in the world around me when I watched this episode. I was all the way in. Thank you for the ride.

Rabbit Hole
(2023)

Ummm. Ok?
I get it, action thriller mystery shows have some wild plots but this one takes the cake. Absolutely laughable throughout. He's just going to buy a necklace, Attach a wallet to look like a cop, walk into a cop station, get through security, then get them to buzz him in, then gets to set down at detectives desk In an open room of desks, go through her computer to get numbers for evidence in the evidence locker then go to said evidence locker and then walk out of the building with the box.

That's not even one of the most absurd ones. That doesn't give away any of the plot I assure you. It really doesn't even make sense because it's so nonsensical. The storyline is so far out there I can't even understand what is happening if that is even possible.

Fourth of July
(2022)

I really wanted to like this
I have have loved every piece of work by Louis but this film was not good. It was just unrealistic. I get what it was going for as far as the family dynamic but over the top. The fact that the dad wouldn't talk and just walked around looking stupid for far too much of the movie was infuriating. Like ok, we get it. He's having remorse and thinking about his own dad. Let's move on. It's like he has some kind of mental disability. Or as they say plenty in the movie, it's like he's a "retard" The main character's acting was really good but I can't name another solid performance. One movie that nailed this kind of family dynamic was silver linings playbook. This was definitely not that. I'm not even sure what story this movie was trying to tell.

You're better than this lou. Still got love For ya.

Lucky Hank
(2023)

Has potential need to see more.
I'm writing this only after the pilot episode. As it is the only one out this far, I really love Bob Odenkirk as I could watch him Rita phonebook. The character introduction episodes for most shows are always a snore fest and this was entertaining enough I was hoping for a little more drama or excitement or a cliffhanger perhaps but I'm hoping that type of emotion will come in the future episodes. I was really happy to see Diedrich Bayer come into screen, as I always wished he was in more things. He is a joy to watch. Finding out Susan Cryer would be a cast member on the show was quite a nice surprise as I really enjoyed her role in Silicon Valley. I will say that her personality and tone in the show is similar to her character in Silicon Valley. Shannon Devito stole the scenes that she was a part of and I feel like this will be her breakout role and I can't wait to see more. I really hope the show succeeds because it has all the potential for a stellar time.

Will Trent
(2023)

Failed opportunity
Will's physical appearance is one of the things that really moves story lines in the series. Huge disappointment in casting. I'm all about inclusion and equal opportunity in the work force but you read hundreds of hours of books and you develop these people you feel like you know in your head and it just ruins it for you. I don't even think I'd like the show if I hadn't read the books. The acting is terrible. I think Karin is disappointed too but no one would want to work with her in the future if she voiced it. Just my opinion. No one give a hoot about my opinion but there it is. Ultimate let down.

The Last of Us: Left Behind
(2023)
Episode 7, Season 1

Soooooooo booooring
Moved the plot zero.. acting zero. Cheesy. Cringy. Insufferable. I'm going to push through this episode hoping it gets better but the girl with all the cussing feels so forced. I think it's bad casting. She's just too happy and innocent and it's hard to watch. I really like everything about this show so far but since the lead character girl came on to the screen I have not enjoyed every time she speaks. Hbo is usually on point with its high budget shows and Pedro is amazing. But whoever casted some of these characters needs to be fired. Or maybe is the directing. Someone dropped the ball. That's all I know. This episode just pushed me over the edge to where I had to say something.

The Last of Us: Long, Long Time
(2023)
Episode 3, Season 1

Just wow!
Absolutely Superb! A+ story telling. A+ acting. A+ production. This is one of the best pieces of film I have ever seen. The people that are giving it bad votes are just homophobic. This isn't in your face gay tv it's just beautiful story telling. Awards will be won. Just bravo! I was blown away. I think In a lot of post apocalyptic and zombie film, a lot of stories get lost in all the action and this is one that wasn't only original but also just how it was put together and the editing. I can't say enough. If they were up for the same Emmy or golden globe in the same category I wouldn't know who to give it to. I laughed. I cried and I cheered for the sheer quality of television. I have rarely done that in my life. I came to see if it had a 10 rating or something crazy then saw all the hate and had to say something. I watched this 2 weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it.

The Bubble
(2022)

Haters going to hate
I feel like people that don't get this movie are people that don't follow pop culture or know how the movie industry works. I only laughed out loud once but I'd still say this movie was funny. Everyone needs to lighten up and not take things so seriously. This movie is a testament to that entire sentiment. The writing is smart. It's current. It's fun. I was entertained the entire time. That's what movies are for. I'd give this a 7 but gave it a 10 to help raise the unjust rating.

Bad Vegan: Fame. Fraud. Fugitives.
(2022)

Solid 7
Hate the lady all you want but the story telling is done well and it's entertaining. Isn't that what it's about? I feel sorry for the employees and the mom. I wonder how Alec Baldwin feels about the bullet he dodged?

Westworld: Akane No Mai
(2018)
Episode 5, Season 2

My time is far too valuable.
Why? And what the hell is going on? Too many story lines. Let me rephrase, too many boring story lines. I hope this gets better soon.

Justified
(2010)

One of the best shows I've ever watched
I finished all 6 season in 4 days. When it was over I felt like I lost a piece of me. The character arch's are amazing. I felt connected to each one. Performances by olyphant, Davies, and goggins are beyond pro founding. Oh snd the guy who played bubba gump. Such a good actor. His name is a hard one though. Only complaint was when I was done I went back and read interviews and it seemed like olyphant didn't like playing this character or the show and that kind of made me sad. He seemed flippant and over it in interviews. Anywho, great show.

Nomadland
(2020)

Slow but the acting and much Strathairn love.
The best part of the movie is where David and tay strathairn play the piano together. Frances is world class. Amazing acting all the way around. It's definitely an art piece of a movie. A poem in its own right. Do not go into this if you're already feeling down. I watched this to forget about what was going on in my life and I was just reminded of all the things in my life that really suck.

Promising Young Woman
(2020)

Women reviewers need to get over themselves
I am a woman and the reviews making this about hating women etc..are stupid. Let's trash the movie for reasons true film lovers do. Soundtrack was good. Bo Burnham was a surprising scene stealer and a joy to watch. Carey mulligan was so thin her skin seemed to be falling off her face but the film did nothing to help her at all with makeup. The pressure put on women is a sad problem in Hollywood yet it is definitely going nowhere. So get better at makeup. Bo's face appeared blotchy and red on his lip like he had a cold which I found very distracting. Makeup! On the story line it was ok. Could have gone so much better though. Seemed like it was PG'd down hardcore. I saw where it was going with the mom but didn't land. Cinematography could have been better at telling this story and others. It was OK of a movie. Slower than I expected. Mulligan's acting was good but the direction did her no favors. I almost went to the theaters to see this because I was so excited for it and so glad I didn't risk covid for this. My counterpart fell asleep. He was also excited to see it for weeks.

Finding Oscar
(2016)

Heavy
This was up there with one of the most tragic documentaries I've ever watched. I be watched a lot. It's very well done and you meet some extraordinary people.

Blood Machines
(2019)

gorgeous
Frame by frame is an art piece unto itself. It's just beautiful. The story isn't great but it's not taking itself Too seriously. However it's such a Gorgeous work of art. Most any creatives will enjoy or be inspired. It looks like it had multi million budget and purposely tried to be cheesy because it's so beautiful. Lots of naked girls iffn that doesn't offend you.

Valley Uprising
(2014)

One of the best!
One of the best docs I've ever seen. The editing is insane. The story is told perfectly. The people they choose to explore and widen the story. Excellence. Did I mention the editing?! Holy sh#* it's so good. Bravo!!!!!!!

Mr Inbetween
(2018)

What a beautifully written show.
The writing set this show apart. The directing and producing have a way of setting it apart with the timing and storyline of the show

It's almost an arrested development drama with laughs. I can't say enough. Brilliant characters. Brilliant acting. Brilliant cinematography. Yes to all of this!

The Stranger
(2020)

Waste of time
Very cheesy and bad acting except Dane DeHaan and Avan Jogia. The story is very impossible yet it is watchable just kind of stupid.

The Vivian Maier Mystery
(2013)

Amazing film that has stuck with me
I don't usually watch movies more than once but I watched this several times and had friends watch it. Especially my photographer friends.

Don't F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer
(2019)

True crime candy
I was excited for this. I had already known of the story from watching "That Chapter" on YouTube but did not know about all the web detectives. They movie drug on in certain areas where you wait for the big reveal and it wasn't much. I wish I hadn't already have known the story. I think I would have liked it more. I really want to hang out with the 2 main sleuths. They are my kind of people.

Killing Eve
(2018)

Love
Is show is so good. villanelle steals the scenes. Kind of seems like dr yang with 1 note acting. I mean if you haven't watched greys anatomy then it may not be a thing for you but I can't get lost on her character. However Jody comer Nails it! She portrays one of the greatest characters on television flawlessly.

Good Girls
(2018)

Amazing
Funniest, smartest, and most entertaining shows on television. I'm constantly saying to myself I can't believe this is on NBC. Of course you can pick it apart by that's absurd, that couldn't happen. But you can do that with any show. Breaking bad for example but people didn't. If you just let yourself have fun you will love this show. There is continuous cliff hangers so get ready to binge. The acting's Is great too. Love love love.

Sweetbitter
(2018)

Service industry done right
This plays on so many cliches of the food industry but they are all true. I relate to all the characters and the scenarios. I think it is well done and I can't wait to see where it goes. I hope people give this show a chance.

Hereditary
(2018)

Toni collette amazing.
The storyline was stupid. What kind of film is this? It tries to be every genre of horror. I think the dramatic loss and how it's handled was well done but the story. No. Just no.
