The Valet
(2022)

Lovely heartwarming film
Initially I was put off by an early review, but having looked at who the main character is (played the equivalent of Goldie Hawn's part in the remake of Overboard), gave this a go as he played a great character in that.

This movie is both amusing and emotional at times, I imagine a lot of people will get drawn in to the story and the following 2hrs will fly by.

Credit to the whole cast as they all did a fantastic job bringing to life a feelgood movie that could fall flat in the wrong hands.

Easily recommended.

Deadly Mile High Club
(2020)

Just switch off for a while
A decent Lifetime movie, over the top unbelievable situations , unremarkable actors with perfect physic's and a straight forward psycho crush story.

You kinda know what you are going to get with a Lifetime offering, only this one has that tongue in cheek a little further back than usual and one scene that actually made me laugh intentionally so!

Yes, it is "another one", but I found it enjoyable and not boring at all.

Serenity
(2019)

Surreal Surprise
At this time a rating of just 5.3 just seems too low for this. I have given this one a 7 based on decent acting, filming locations(Mauritius) and an intriguing storyline that may end up surprising some people. Nice

I See You
(2019)

Great Mystery Thriller
All I will say about this movie is it kept me and my wife engrossed throughout, no slow section to nod off to, just a good quality mystery through till the end. Enjoy

Brightburn
(2019)

Something a little different
Well, I had never heard of this one going into it and what a breath of not entirely fresh air, but different enough to be in your head for a while after viewing.

If your expecting it to be another maniac out of control and must bring him down in the end movie, you are in for a surprise because this one pulls no punches whatsoever.

Rated only a 15, this has some moments that will see most people squint at the screen, not giving any of the story away, good acting, great effects, good build up pace and just an enjoyable movie on a whole.

I will say this though, it does not follow a typical Hollywood flick! A good 7

The Vanishing
(2018)

Depressing Movie
If you like a slow burning drama filmed in very few locations with fewer actors, then the story may prove interesting enough together with the great performances.

For me though, it did not hold my attention enough and the dull and sometimes quite dark scenes did nothing to help this slow story unfolding.

Boring, slow and depressing for some, drama lovers may find it interesting.

The Christmas Chronicles
(2018)

Top 'NEW' Christmas Movie
I did not expect to like this as much as I did, I think there is something is this movie for most ages to adhere to.

The acting is believable, characters are very likeable from early on in the film and it definitely gets you in the mood for Christmas, Colourful, Funny, Emotional in parts and the special effects are great too, making this one for an annual viewing.

Ruin Me
(2017)

Average at best
Given it 5 stars out of 10 for it's attempt at something a little different from the norm, also given the obvious low budget, the film does not look cheap and the actors were decent enough.

There is another older movie in the name of 'April Fools Day' a 1986 film which is similar in some ways to this one, but does it a whole lot better!
