Death of a Legend
(1971)

A compassionate but graphic feature about the treatment of wolves
This documentary is about wolves and the impact upon and from humans. It is quite graphic in nature but is an accurate reflection on the tug-of-war between those that want to save the wolves and those that want to exterminate them completely. Both viewpoints are represented equally. On the one hand we have a beautiful intelligent creature that lives in packs with social rules which has roamed the earth for thousands of years minding its own business. On the other hand we have a cold-blooded predator which is a bane for ranchers, farmers and those living in remote areas, killing livestock, children and family pets. When the government steps in to protect the species the conflicts escalate between businessmen and animal rights activists. Not for small children but a great discussion tool for high school and college students.

Mondo
(1995)

A quality film well worth seeing, but you need to pay attention.
This film is similar to "The Sixth Sense" in that what you see is not what is reality. The ending is truly enlightening and makes the entire film come together. Of course I will not reveal the ending.

Pay attention to the early scenes. However, I didn't see the necessity of the nude scene in the middle of the film, nor the Muslim correlation.

But regardless, a quality film. If purchasing, beware of the edited versions and ensure you are purchasing the uncut version.

The acting is of high quality and the character development is first-rate. We truly feel the emotional attachments of the principals and also that of the bystanders who really contribute to the story line as did the townspeople in "The Emperor's New Clothes"
