Perfect. Simply Perfect
All you can expect from what a masterpiece should be are presented here in this MASTERPIECE. I haven't shed a tear for a long time watching movies but this movie shook me to core with its touching yet immensely deep story. You will have to think a lot about global warming and what humankind has done to earth and how cruel and greedy some country leaders can be when it comes to money and wealth. They can be literal thieves. And Cameron gave us that insight right from 2009. That's how visionary he is apart from the first commercial movie 3d experience. Truly beautiful. Must see. Please do yourself a favor and watch it right away.

Can't even finish watching it
Too hard to understand. No entertainment value. Overrated. I tried to keep watching but gave up because everything was getting harder and harder to digest.

Raya and the Last Dragon
(2021)

Spectacular visual
Every thing about this film is good. No major complains. But I have to write a review just because the visual and animation are beyond great. Every scene looks so real you'll think it is filmed live. Stunning.

Arcane: League of Legends

Just nothing to complain. All on point
Everything is good. Every detail has purpose. Animation and picture quality is superb. Story is captivating. Macro yet not overly stretched. Music is good. And a lot of other little things that just agree with me make me nod from time to time. Simply near perfect. Well worth my rare 10.

Eternals

First half...
The first half could have been shortened. The emotional story was a bit spilled. I could doze off a bit. The second half was better, more actions and twists. Overall good plot but some minor plot holes did make me feel not entirely convinced.

Bo Gia

Bad ending
The son had always been appreciative of his father, constantly trying to help him. Yet the movie ending and message imply that he was too late to realize his father's love and sacrifice. That ending destroyed the mood for me. The father should have survived the operation . Unnecessarily sad ending.

Over the Moon
(2020)

Had potential
I thought I would only give it a 6 but for the animation, music, message I think it deserves an encouraging 7. The problem is the plot. There were so many questions popping up in my head as I was watching it and they prevented me from enjoying the movie as a conscious person. But anyways, the start and ending are good.

I had lots of laughs
It's a movie for kids. And even though I'm not a kid, I still found it funny and the amicable ending makes it such a blast to watch when you're bored. Don't be too critical. Just relax and enjoy and you'll have a few laughs.

a true masterpiece
Plot is perfect. there is just no flaw that is even slightly noticed. acting of all cast members are good. music accompanies scenes very well. the movie covers all genres without making any too much. funny, touching, suspending, sexual, family moments are all there, even horror ones. what left in your mind is a subtle yet powerful message about class discrimination in Korea. It truly deserves the Oscar without needing to employ politics or racial issues.

Soul
(2020)

A message that has yet to be sent by many movie makers
The movie is about a man trying to accomplish his dream, but in the end found something even more meaningful. Plot wise, good. The story is unique enough to keep you hooked. Animation and overall art design are nice, smooth and fresh. Music is on point. I gave an 8 as I expected a more epic kind of ending. Anyways, about the message, I think the movie tried to remind us that when we grow up, we may feel life is less exciting. Thus, some of us cling to what we call a dream to make ourselves feel like having a purpose. But then after achieving the so-called dream, we get lost again, especially if we sacrificed so much time and attention meant for people and things around us. That's why along with going all out for our dreams, we should also enjoy everything that life offers, even if those are just "regular old things". Because life is about diversity, and we humans are simply never satisfied with anything forever.

Imawa no Kuni no Arisu

I am impressed
The theme is unique. The story is well developed, well explained and not repetitive . For a tv series , that alone is the most important. Aside from that, acting is on point. Music is ok. But the movie effects and how they created a completely humanless setting wowed me. A really good thriller series.

Birds of Prey and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn
(2020)

yeah. not so glamorous
The theme of degrading men is just bland. lots of loose details. lame fighting scenes, especially at the amusement playground. no clear message. girl making crimes is good? even the side stories are so half-baked. you may want to sit through to know what happens to the diamond, but turns out nothing special. overall, a bad movie.

Ready Player One
(2018)

original and intriguing
I think we all have to watch it a second time to fully understand every detail but it is safe to say that we were thrilled in the first time. The plot is unique, unpredictable. The message is nice and practical. Some details at the end could have been more realistic ( especially the scene where the crowd makes way just because of a gun). Overall , a nice watching experience.

Call Me by Your Name
(2017)

sad love story
The love between two men in this movie is special, as they both are intelligent people but could not find ways to express or understand their feelings for each other until the second half of the film. I wish the film were more transparent in scenes where they profess their love.

The Queen's Gambit
(2020)

Very well rounded
The plot is unique, kept me hooked. The music is on point. Quite a few messages were subtly conveyed. Overall, if you love watching phenomenal people life story, you'll love it. I gave it an 8 because there were a few parts that did not really amuse me as much as the whole pace of the series. But what strikes me the most is the main actress Anya. She shines in such a natural way. Her face shows intelligence and sense of perseverance, which are exactly the characteristics of the main character. That , combined with her excellent acting skills and facial expressions , perfectly glued every aspect of the story together. Definitely a good movie to watch for everyone.

Sex Tape
(2014)

Not really there
Long introduction. Dragging and forced plot. Deserves 5 cause you can just quit watching without missing anything. It has some good laughs , though.

Hubie Halloween
(2020)

Enjoyable
It is ok . Some good laughs. Heartwarming message.

The Old Guard
(2020)

It surely deserves a watch
Don't mind the low-rating reviews. You must watch it to feel if it is your type of movie or not. For me, the concept is cool, Charlie was so good at acting and action scenes. I do not recall any remarkably bad point and I was kept interested the whole watch time. Definitely looking forward to the sequel with the Vietnamese actress Ngo Thanh Van.

Storks
(2016)

Hilarious and adorable
It has nonstop laughs, adorable baby faces and a touch of heartwarming family bonds. The plot is also unique, which makes it interesting enough. I did not expect this. A more than should-watch if you love babies or just want a funny movie that ALWAYS DELIVERS 😂 (you'll get what i mean by watching it)

Brokeback Mountain
(2005)

Impressively touching
I enjoyed it. The film brought out some perspectives on old times when sexual orientation was not a thing. But the love between the 2 main characters was so deep, I didn't even think it was that deep. It truly sowed a reminder in my mind that I need to hold on to the person I really love or else I'll be in utter regret my whole life.

The 40 Year Old Virgin
(2005)

Fun story
A fun story, uplifting message and decent laughs. Deserve a 7.

Knives Out
(2019)

Intriguing detective movie
It has twists. Many twists. And that is what makes me hard to not keep watching. The plot is excellent. Music accompanies scenes well. A good life lesson was delivered. Overall, very entertaining.

Emily in Paris
(2020)

Just my cup of tea
Despite having many flaws including unsupported subjective viewpoint of Paris, this is a fun and enjoyable series to watch. Gorgeous outfits, charming characters and quite interesting plot, I had to binge watch it in 2 days. Hopefully season 2 comes soon.

Hauru no ugoku shiro
(2004)

Very original but confusing
The first half was more captivating as I still longed to see how the girl got her look back, but to the end of the movie, it never became clear how she did that, which is very upsetting because for me, that was the whole point of the movie. So plot, seriously needs some revising. Music is fine. I am not so sure about which lessons to learn from this. Imagery is good. I guess the biggest strength of this film is its originality, much like Spirited Away

Enola Holmes
(2020)

gentle yet intriguing
The first half was OK, some parts were good, some were quite confusing as the deciphering process was not elaborated enough, so I found it hard to follow. The second half was better, as I understood more about the big picture so I kind of expected how things would turn out and see if I was right. So plot wise, could have been clearer. I don't know what else to say, as this movie packs various themes. Family, romance, detective, girl power. It felt complicated at times. But yeah, it is a nice movie to watch.
