Excellent acting and some of the best writing on a night time soap. I loved how the writers never went for a predictable conclusion to a story. Just when I thought I knew how a story line would resolve itself, the writers would put in a surprise or a twist that I never saw coming. I loved Dallas and the rest, but while their stories entertained me they rarely surprised me. A side note to Brandon: Knots Landing did have a couple of casting changes. Joan Van Ark went to bed with David Ackroyd and woke up with Ted Shackelford on Dallas. On William Devane's "daughter lived as Danielle Brisebois and died as Stacy Galina.
