This should be on the poster for the movie. OK OK I didn't see it myself but my wife and 7 year old daughter did. In the opening scene the music was apparently so foreboding that all the kids in the theater were crying, and so it continued with monster after monster terrifying the kids until halfway through my daughter wanted to go home. Now I did see the trailer and what was depicted in it was a feel good Disney movie with lots of laughs - apparently the trailer had all the laughs and the rest was a horror fest for the kids. So if your child hates the foreboding scenes and thriller music like mine then rather wait for DVD so you can stop it when it gets too hectic for them.

I can't believe that I stuck out this movie and wasted 90 minutes of agony on this movie. I'm one of the suckers that keeps watching to see if the movie by some miracle gets any better. The CGI gets worse as the movie progresses and the storyline gets more unbelievable with every passing scene. It would be OK I guess if the script didn't take itself so seriously, but even if I was stoned beyond comprehension I would still find the movie a POS. Steven King's "IT" boasted a better spider and it was built by hand. The characters at the start display some promise, but the minute the spiders appear everything implodes into one big steaming pile of audio-visual landfill. Utter, utter garbage

Good grief I'm glad I didn't go to the box office to see this bomb. The special effects are worse than a cheap mini series and spoil the entire movie. Who cares how well the actors try, with effects this bad the whole story is so unbelievable its only good for stoned surfers after a particularly heavy night, and even then its enough to give you a pounding headache. In fact its so bad I registered just to review this movie. Skip - skip skip... hey maybe the tsunami scene is better than the crap up until now... oh no its even worse! Seriously - the original Star Trek series has better effects with models. If I did any work in this movie I would be wearing a paper bag. Avoid at all costs.
