I was hoping to be enthralled with one of my fave directors newest films, however I left disappointed. Too dark, too loud throughout most of the film from Zimmer's score, and actors weren't used to their full potential i.e. Javier Bardem. Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival were much better Villeneuve films in my opinion.

I went into this film hoping for the best from Vidangel, having been a loyal customer of their previous ventures with the film industry. Well, I have nothing positive to say about their first foray into making an actual studio film themselves. This movie is not funny and took itself way to seriously. I was hoping for some Ferris Bueller laughs but got absolutely nothing in return. There is a couple decent early 90s tunes in the soundtrack but it wasn't enough to keep me interested and to stop rolling my eyes back in my head from what I saw on the screen. Forget this one and see a real film.
