I think The Gale Storm show was in repeats when I got to see it. I was born in 1953 and I remember seeing it and My Little Margie. I adored the female characters in both, but I was just 7 years old as I recall. Maybe I saw some at 6. Anyway, I loved the shows, but I don't recall much about them. So, I didn't know Gale Storm had anything to do with ships. Dear memories of youth. Ann Sothern was another.

Just fell in love with Carla Forlani. What a beautiful young woman. I was so sorry that she did not fall in love with the man she met in the coffee shop but instead with death itself. I noticed that only there was there an abundance of light. Most of the movie takes place in dark places except of course the birthday party. The comeuppance on the daughter's boyfriend was a joy to behold.
