The Exorcist: Believer
(2023)

What was that?
I am not sure how to come up with 600 characters to write about this film. There was nothing here. Incoherent story that failed to properly establish its roots with the original while also failing to create a new interesting premise. No horror elements except possession. I really dont know whta was this movie trying to achieve? What did the writers had in mind? The entire movie falls flat on its face...in fact it never gets up....it never takes-off.... such bad taste in the mouth after this....please don't waste your money. If you really must, wait for it on streaming. You are not missing on anything. I have given it a 3 only for the acting performances, otherwise it deserved a graceful zero (whic is, surprisingly, not an option).

Der goldene Handschuh
(2019)

Disgusting!
Those who came up with this and those who liked it need to be psychologically examined. I have seen thousands of movies - nothing as disgusting. What was the point of such derangement and gratuitous amount of nudity? If there was any point to it, it got lost in the pathetic and deranged execution.

In & of Itself
(2020)

Wow!!!!.....and.................Wow!!!!
It is an amazing performance. Its not a movie but it is definitely not a documentary either. What you get in 85 minutes will either change your perspective about everything or at the least, ingrain this in your memory forever as a very unique experience. You may have seen many small parts of this in isolation; may even have heard some of the stories (i had heard or read all before this)....but never pieced together like this for an impactful whole. I have seen thousands of movies and Tv episodes from around the world.....a 10 is a rare score from me. Just watch it and enjoy.

Nomadland
(2020)

Good Movie? Yes. Oscar worthy? No way.
This was a good docu-drama. I will grant that. But it did not deserve an Oscar, let alone 3. Even Charlene Swankie's performance was much better that of Frances McDormand. A lot of BS is shoved down our throats in the name of Art but when good for nothing people (critics) and Academy members join hands in such efforts, the result is 3 Oscars for Nomadland. I am disgusted.

7500
(2019)

What is this movie about?
No story.......why was the plane being hijacked? Where did the hijackers want to go? And why? Only a fictional airline would hire such dumb pilots as were onboard this aircraft. God! And it has got a 6.3 on IMDB and 58 on Metacritic? What is the world coming to?

Namak
(1996)

A poor photocopy of a Pakistani original!
This is a poorly acted photocopy of Namak (1979) from Pakistan. The story dialogues, music and song are all word to word copy to the extent that Indian writers didnt even bother to translate to common hindi from pure Urdu. The soundtrack, Mera Pyaar, lifted and destroyed. The original was sung by the great Mehdi Hassan, after all.

Gomorrah
(2014)

Wow!
Outstanding in all respects......acting, writing, direction, production values. Let me say this; it makes 'The Sopranos' look ordinary - even though that is a great show in its own right. 9.5/10.

The Courier
(2019)

Trash
Gets 2/10 only for Olga Kurylenko. Trash all around. Amit Shah is unbearable. Who cast him? Or, did he pay for this movie??

Military Wives
(2019)

When its 10 at night in Afghanistan, its NOT 1:30 in England.....
A good movie. Recommended. But, its not 1:30 AM or PM, in London when its 10 at night in Afghanistan. The time in London would be 18:30 or 6:30 PM....so why? That time is for New York DST. I am surprised that its not getting noticed nor is it being mentioned as a goof. So what is going on? Can somebody enlighten me?

I See You
(2019)

Why???????
Terrible movie. Why make this at all?. One of the worst movies I have ever come across.

Jojo Rabbit
(2019)

Amazing Movie
An amazing movie. It will jolt your soul, if you have one. A must see recommendation.

Knives Out
(2019)

Very Good
Though I was one step ahead of the story most of the time, I nonetheless loved the execution. A collectible classic!

Angel Has Fallen
(2019)

Why?
Seen this story at least half a dozen times in movies. Why? Why waste so much of talent on such mediocre, rehashed script? 4.5/10 only because there is some great cast here.

Dead in a Week (Or Your Money Back)
(2018)

Intelligent writing
Critics have, as usual, missed the point. It seems to me that nowadays unless there are LGBTQ elements or some other PC BS in a movie or series, it doesn't get critics' nod. This movie is very predictable but has some very good acting and very intelligent dialogue. 7/10

Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood
(2019)

Wow...the definition of overrated!
Excellent acting by DiCaprio and Pitt is the only feature of this movie for which it gets 6/10. The Oscar nominations, except for these two, are not on merit. many other pictures of the year are much better. And what was Margot Robbie doing in this picture? I mean, her being there or not has no impact. What was the point? And the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay is the biggest blasphemy committed by the Academy. This picture and its Oscars nominations are the proof that perception management can make even the most ordinary things look and seem stellar in people's minds. Also, it proves yet again that movies made about actors in particular and hollywood in general will continue to be Academy's favorite.

The Caller
(2011)

A very fresh idea, but....
A surprisingly fresh story idea with good performances. However, the screenplay could not do justice to the idea. The event flow was affected selectively only. Why? The husband of the protagonist remains same in all scenarios while most other things change. I loved the idea and the performance by Rachelle Lefevre but the scrfeenplay let me down.

Joker
(2019)

Simply outstanding!
I don't understand the negative reviews and Metacritic score. I think these critics need to come down from their pathetic self-centered high grounds and see the movie for what it is: an outstanding piece of art the likes of which are produced very rarely. This coming from a person who has seen thousands of movies from across timelines and across cultures. It should get at least 5 Oscar noms and win at least three. If Joaquin Phoenix does not get Best Actor Oscar then the Academy deserves a visit by Arthur Fleck!. Definitely among the 10 best ever from any country and any language. And btw, the theatre was packed, the movie commanded hushed silence and audience gave a rousing applause at the end, something I had never seen in my country, ever.

Top Gun
(1986)

The ultimate movie about pilots and fighter flying
I have seen this dozens of times. While some of the flying stunts are not believable and the dogfights rarely take place like shown, it is still the best picture ever made about the most dangerous, yet most romanticized professions of all times; fighter flying. The sound track is amazing and Tom Cruise will never be as charming again. 9/10

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum
(2019)

Good, but does not compare to first installment
John Wick was excellent. The sequel was very good. The three-quel is good and I am afraid for the next one. There is more action than the previous in each installment but also correspondingly less emotion, less story, less dialogue and as a result, the viewer feels less and less invested in the story. 7/10

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
(2017)

The Best Movie of 2017
Deserved Best Movie Oscar. How it lost to the non-sense fantasy The Shape of Water is beyond comprehension.

Kalank
(2019)

Revisionist Undertones
It is a visual spectacle, yes. But the story and songs are rehashed from so many sources and have been recycled so many times before also that by 10 minutes in I knew exactly what will happen - and it happened exactly as predicted.. the movie was also used as a vehicle of historical revisionism. Very poor. Everyone, except, Aditya Roy Kapoor was misfit, miscast and seemed uncomfortable in his/her role. I give it a 3 for the effort. It's not worth 165 minutes of your life.

If Beale Street Could Talk
(2018)

Good, but.....
Well directed and very well acted. However, about 15 minutes too long and not very original. Its metacritic score is misleading. It is a good movie, just not that great as it is made out to be.

24 Frames
(2017)

Sheer waste of time!
Seconds before and after would have been good enough. It might then have been a great short film of 12-13 minutes. As it is, impossible to sit through and monumental waste of time.

Homeland
(2011)

Very Disappointed
The show is a very deliberate attempt to show Islam and Muslims in a negative light. In season 4, the writers and creators are doing every effort to negatively portray Pakistan. Nothing they are showing is anywhere close to the truth. This is very disappointing.

Mission: Impossible - Fallout
(2018)

Perfect!
One of the best action thrillers, ever. Period. And I count all superheroes movies as action movies.
