Chup is a film that broke the monotony of a string of bad movies in Cinema Hall.

The cast was interesting and unusual for Balki movie and the poster drew me in.

The plot explores the characters and their shades without ever attempting to surprise you.

It haunts you psychologically, and the contrasting flow of scenes, as well as SD Burman's music, was a treat.

Dulquer Salman was excellent, traversing in shades and ending in a classic Guru Dutt cult.

Sreya, the actress, was sensuous and in character.

Puja Bhatt had a good cameo.

Sunny Deol surprised me with a more subdued performance.

Not a family film, but a pleasant trip through a crowded house.

When you cast Karthik Aryan for a movie, hugely an one man show, who does not know the basic guidebook of Acting, Disastrous Dhamaka Happens. And it happened again.

Dont waste your time on this movie.

What she wrote on that paper remained in the house up until it was actually demolished for the movie, and no one got to read it before then. For Mara's part, she says she doesn't remember what it says, and even if she did, she likely wouldn't say. Not even Casey Affleck knows because the piece of paper used for when he retrieves it was a completely different piece.

Honestly, what's most compelling about A Ghost Story is everything surrounding this little MacGuffin. In the end, it's everything surrounding the note that becomes more important than what the note actually says. We're just glad that the piece of paper didn't say "The End," as if it were a college student film.

This movie revolves around relations not defined by society.As the name suggests three stories neatly told and evidence of inspiration from Masters of Bengali Cinema.. The first story..a story of innocence and love that demands possessiveness and manipulation and the magic of Black and white will tie you up. Second story is an excellent one room show between a husband and a lover of a same woman and the decision to bring forward the one responsible for her suicide.The story is superbly told with cinematography being excellent you will feel connected! Third one is my personal favorite with twists and turns and ....the lust and shadows of human manipulation!!! A must watch for those who understand movies...

Manjhi..

I was feeling terrible after seeing All is well but then as I saw Maajhi..I felt good. The movie rotates around the Legend of true story of Manjhi a simple man with simple liking But does a terrible feat for the emotion called love...and against all the discrimination towards lower caste in a village. The hill becomes the symbol and yet he tried to overcome for a long feat of 52 years . I didn't like the politicization of the story but liked the fight he put up towards a feat that is as high as the mountain and as deep as that of the ocean. Excellent acting.The only weakness --It is an Hindi movie and so keeping that in mind it does what Hindi movie does but in one or two scenes.

The scene in the mud and the river is one of the best I have seen in recent times.Radhika Apte is improving day by day.

3.7 out of five star for this good movie. And by the way don't go to All is Well. I will hardly give it -2 out of 5..Yeah it is minus.

Simply awful.That's the correct word I have for this movie.Terrible direction and terrible script.Disgusting Cinematography. If you have excess time utilize it but don't go this movie or never watch it even on piracy. The junior Big B should rethink why he is continuing acting and selecting this kind of movie. The heroine is in this movie but for what reason she knows! The only reason I have given it one is for two reason!

1) The utilization of the original score from 90's was pathetic but you will feel nostalgic. 2) Rishi Kapoor tries to give the movie a shape.

First of all it is a copy of many spy movies.BE it the style be it the music and be it the acting and the heroine mannerism.It is just a time pass if you have nothing else to do. A fat lady in Bond suit is the best you will get in this movie with Jude Law almost a guest artist. The story is simple and not mentioning telling as all can guess. Gadgets were old and villains are dumb. Only the acting of the lead role is worth mentioning. Just chew your pop corn and let the movie end.However it will not end.It will drag you from country to country from Budapest to Rome and so on.Actions are clumsy and that's why I am forced to give a rating not more than 5.

I felt like loosing 2 hours from my life and I felt at last the movie ended. Continuous story less madness without any motive and irritating to the fullest. Furiosa is handicapped and drives a big modified truck or war vehicle. Illogical foolish movie making. Don't watch it unless you want to loose your money. And Mad max is a funny goat who shows style in all kind of fools around. Only thing to see are the cars ... The movie starts with Mad max running and remembering his kids or wife who are lucky that they died and did not have to bear this pain that we as a crowd had to bear while watching the same. The music will burn your head.The actions are repetitive.Girlfriends will leave if you take her to this movie.

Its really a journey if I forget Deb If I forget Bibhutibhusan and if I forget Kamaleshwar..Its still a journey for a Bengali movie to have come this far and a must watch for any Bengali...Animations are amateur no doubt but still the amount it has shown is a great leap for Bengali movie. The story line has been maintained around 80 percent with some overthrown because of infrastructure and difference in the art form. Deb has come a long way from what we know of him......But still I feel some other would have gone far in critic sense but in commercial angle Deb has been viable.

Music and background score is good.But the editing has not been up to the mark with us feeling bored at the end of first half. Alvarez was excellent except the language with which he decides to speak... Bunip was a poor creative...but the lion scenes excellent .. A good effort and a new market that could take Bengali movie to great heights and can make many of our Bengali classics commercially viable.... Cant give less than 4 out of 5 as a Bengali........................

What will happen if I have never written this review and you have not read it? and then probably you have not decided to see this film and have not gone to a video shop or a CD parlor or a website to download this movie and in the mean time you came across a comment that caught your attraction and the meantime he or she is online and you met him and that changed your life for ever? What if that caused the consequence that you didn't even exist now? Do you really exist or you are a summation and other mathematical calculation of some other people's wish or imagination. Yes this is the concept and somewhat complex no totally complex but a new attempt to change story in the whims of the concept.

The movie started well.Plot and subplot well knit.The fear,the contradiction in the lead hero's character yet the hunger and greed for success and money was well going with the plot.But the end gets predictable.The sequential fear creation was awesome with the ghost truly fearsome except those kids with horrible make up. Acting superb yet the predictable ending binds my hand for a six out of 10 for this movie. But still it will come to my top 10. But cant defeat my craze about The Orphanage movie. The same director's The Purge was far better as a movie and I will recommend to go for it.Waiting for more to come from this director in future.
