A Little Late with Lilly Singh
(2019)

w0ke star
What do you get when you create a show around a wokester and written by wokesters? This garbage. These people can't write any funny because everything is offensive, except their normal sock puppets that they love to bash. So everything is going to be based on bashing their sock puppets which gets old quick. Though I wouldn't be suprised if this junk got a three season run, because that's how woke the execs are now a days.

The Silence
(2019)

Another craptastic apocalyptic thriller from Netflix
If you thought the plot of Birdbox was bad, well this is worse. They basically put the crappy plot from Birdbox into the premise of The Quiet Place.

What is with Netflix investing in a bunch of good actors who provide decent performances with a craptastic plot? It feels like they had a bunch of HS kids write this screenplay over a weekend after watching the Birdbox and The Quiet Place. Whoever is running Netflix's original film division needs to get fired.

Bird Box
(2018)

A bird box of Plot Holes
I would list all of the plot holes in this movie, but there are too many too list. This movie feels unpolished and rushed. If you want to see a similar movie that's executed well, watch "A Quiet Place".

Netflix, stop spending all the movie money on actors and SFX. Find some better writers and directors. All of your movies seems to be missing an important ingredient.

Ronny Chieng: International Student
(2017)

Interesting premise with potential, but ultimately lacked execution
I really wanted to like this comedy. I watched every episode except for the pilot. So I may have been missing some plot elements. The comedy is about a Malaysian student studying law at Melbourne University. He lives in a house with other international students and one American. Although termed International, it's really all Asians except for one American.

Overall, I thought the writing, directing and acting were all sub par. The titular character is just not funny, it seems like he's got a stick up his ass at all times. He complains 90% of the time and other 10% of the time he's trying too hard to be funny.

As for the dialogue, I feel like sometimes they thrown in a bunch of cuss words just to try to be funny. The comedic timing is off in many of their scenes. It feels awkward.

As for the title of the show, they should've just called him International Law Student considering that pretty much all of the student characters are in the law school.

This show has potential, but the directing, the writing, and the acting must improve. Especially for the main character. In fact I think they should use a different actor for Ronny Chieng.
