Loved it! Recommend.
Overall, loved this series. The acting is great and keeps you hooked. From my understanding, and a quick Google search, they bought the rights to this show. So, no stealing took place. They did a great job with this remake of the series, and I hope for a season 2.

Kingdom
(2019)

Unexpectedly great
Good story, a slightly new take on how zombies came about. Tense, suspenseful action. I'm a fan. Season 2 is out now and so far, just as good as season 1.

Sorry We Missed You
(2019)

crap artistic ending
Its kinda boring... and i didn't like the choice made for the ending. I could have done without seeing it. Stayed up late for this.......

That being said... showing the struggles of the working class for a company that takes advantage of his employees. The long hours cause enormous stress on the whole family. (not a spoiler...it's pretty obvious early on in the movie).

I didn't completely dislike it... but it's by NO means a must see. It's lucky it got 5 stars with ending it there.

Dark Waters
(2019)

Everyone Needs To See This Movie!
This film was really done well. Fantastic film, and performances. This true story that we are still seeing played out now tells the story of a real hero.

I'm noticing just recently news articles about these forever chemicals in our water.. funny though, no mention on who is responsible in any media article.

I really cant wait for the next episode.......
If you have been watching this show, you have cried at all the touching moments many times. I really love this love show. The MC's are both really endearing. A superb love story with a little suspense. It's not really about being realistic, it's about relationships, and fate of two people meant to be together.

Blown away!
By far one of of the best anime (donghua for chinese animation) i've seen all year. I've watched it twice. Absolutely loved this series with my whole heart.

First, this is certainly NOT a shounen anime that is geared towards teens. It's rated mature at R 17+ on MyAnimeList, as it should be.

The scenery truly stands out as unique, and breath taking. Chinese animation has developed their own style with very detailed; exquisite landscapes that looks like poetry. The character design was refreshing. I really enjoyed the more mature looking characters.

The voice acting in this deserves an award. The emotional parts were so believable. The emotions really came through in a way that it didn't feel like acting.

The writing in this series is top notch in my opinion. I found it to be well written, with plenty of plot twist and mystery in terms of story line.

Although, the majority were fine to me, my only criticism is that SOME of the fight scenes could have looked smoother. Also, Chinese is spoken very fast, and the subtitles fly by. I cant read that fast. Not sure how this could be remedied for us English speakers, but I had to rewind many times to catch up to what was going on.

Everything in this series can be described as beautiful, and I highly recommend this series. 10/10

Made in Abyss
(2017)

An Amazing Adventure
I wasn't hooked until i got through the first episode, but I'm glad I dont give up so easily, or I would have missed out on this amazing series.

The world building in this anime stands out from the rest. The story is unique, it's well written and the art style is beautiful. Made me laugh, broke my heart, and has me wanting for more. The story is so well written, and the music really enhances the experience and pulls you in to this fantasy world.

A season 2 has now been announced. So, if you are just starting this series, you started at the right time.

*Warning: MyAnimeList has the rating listed as R 17+ for good reason. This anime contains gore and some seriously messed up moments. According to the manga, the story only gets worse in terms of gore from here. This is not suitable for the faint of heart, or young innocent minds. Also has mild profanity.

Anne: A Secret Which I Desired to Divine
(2019)
Episode 1, Season 3

Superb!
An amazing remake and final chapter of a beloved series from my childhood. I couldn't ask for better. I hope they remake the sequel to Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea.

Highly recommend if you loved the original.

Dave Chappelle: Sticks & Stones
(2019)

Funny, and entertaining.
What else can I say... It was funny. The old stuff is still my favorite, but I liked it and so will you... probably. He makes fun of everyone equally, just as a comic should.

The critics are never right. Don't listen to them. Always look at the audience score.

Beauty and the Beast
(2017)

Cheesy, pile of crap
Horrible!! Cheesy!!! A total waste of money. Absolutely hated it. Bad acting. Super awkward to sit through this film.

Go watch the French live action Beauty and the Beast. That one breathes new life to this story. Was beautiful and everything this one was not.

Dumbo
(2019)

One of the good ones.
This was a good remake. I really enjoyed it. The acting was good and the animation was good. It actually had some soul to it. Unlike several of the other.... (Like Beauty and the Beast, and the Lion King. These a lifeless, souless waste of time...)

Maleficent
(2014)

The best of them!
This movie is by far the best of the remakes. Visually beautiful, great acting, and a fresh new take on this story. I've researched it many times. Angelina NAILED this roll.

I will go see the sequel they are making. Hopefully it holds a candle to this one and doesn't fall flat like The Lion King they just came out with, The Beauty and the Best (the French live action movie blows it out of the water), or the also very disappointing Aladdin.

The Lion King
(2019)

Visually beautiful but that's all.
The animation and scenery was very beautiful! Still a little work needed there when it comes to expression. Even real lions have more expression I think then these. You don't have to over so it to make it look cheesy.. just a little more would have made a difference.

The main reason I give this a low eating is due to the vocal acting. It fell totally flat. No emotion at all. They were monotone and there were no natural pauses when there should have been. The original still blows this one out of the water. The magic was not there like the original.
