Under the Dome
(2013)

spare yourself
Like many, I was drawn into this show by the interesting premise and the big names attached to it. I am not a fan of watching live TV though so i waited until all 3 seasons were on DVD. My tolerance for camp is pretty high, so I ignored the bad reviews and started it with an open mind. Now IMHO the first 2 seasons were surprisingly entertaining despite the shows many flaws. Then season 3 happened. A season so terrible that it ruined everything that came before it. The entire season was one horrible plot after another. I found myself missing the catastrophe of the week formula the show had been heavily using in the first two seasons. Promised answers turned into plot twist after plot twist, each worse than the one before. All of which led to a finale that no longer resembled the show it started as. The hardly seen stray dog became the only character I was attached to by that point. I was hoping the dome would win but that ending would have made too much sense to even be considered. Instead we were treated to an open ended episode that left more questions than answers. Please save yourself the disappointment and just skip this one. If you truly feel that you must watch it, at least end it at season 2. Any ending you could think of after that point will be far better than the ending they provide.

Soaked in Bleach
(2015)

What all Kurt fans want to hear.
My opinion isn't a popular one on this subject. I feel Kurt Cobain fans just want someone to blame because they don't want to admit their idol killed himself. Courtney Love was and is a junkie. Her stories don't add up, but if you ask her stories about simple things on any other subject, I highly doubt those stories will match up either. In all reality as big of a mess as she was in the following years, I believe if she did it she would have slipped up at some point and said something by accident. Yet she didn't, not even at her blackout worst. Using the argument that those closest to him didn't think he was suicidal is cheap. When a loved one commits suicide that is a very common reaction, nobody wants to admit they saw the signs because that's admitting they ignored the signs. I know this because I've lost family and friends to suicide. Pointing fingers and having someone to direct the blame and anger towards is much easier than dealing with the truth. Half of his songs can count as a suicide note, but of course he didn't mean those. It's normally to write about that stuff in a hurry, right? This isn't facts,it just points out what we already knew, Courtney is a junkie, the police botched the investigation, and instead looking at other options this man wants to extend his 15 mins of fame by prolonging a 20 yr witch hunt aimed at Love. Whatever really happened that night only Kurt and possibly someone else know, but they aren't talking. Save your time, listen to Pearl Jam and let Kurt rest in piece without dragging his wife and daughter through this over and over again.

Red Riding Hood
(2011)

made jennifer body seem like a classic!
Now I admit that I don't mind bad movies sometimes. I have enjoyed many cheesy slasher sequels, and I didn't even mind the village. As a movie lover it is rare for me to turn a movie off before the end, out of hope for finding a redeeming point. I couldn't make it through this movie, I even tried again a couple years later with the same result. I've read many reviews with twilight comparisons but honestly you're better off watching twilight. At least you know what to expect from that and it doesn't try to sell itself as something it's not. A dark retelling of a classic Grimm fairytale this is not. Bugs bunny did the fairytale more justice than this movie came close to. I'll spare you the details of everything this movie does wrong, just please spare yourself the torture of watching it.

Divergent
(2014)

a horribly acted knockoff
This is my first time writing a review but I thought people should be warned before wasting their time. First of all this is a hunger games cheap knock off with none of the aspects that made the hunger games work. The story line was beyond predictable, not once was I even questioning how this movie would end. The book might have been better but after watching this I will never attempt to read it. The acting was some of the worst I have ever seen. One thing that made the hunger games work was that the female lead could actually act, Jen has awards proving her talent. The female lead in this does not have the talent to present Jen an award. The countless pointless action scenes that didn't add anything to the weak plot made it even harder to watch. If you want a teen novel brought to screen right watch the hunger games or harry potter, if you want a teen novel that's predictable and badly acted watch twilight, if you want a reason to lose faith in the world at large watch this and wonder how it ever got more than 2 stars.
