Good Times
(2024)

Insult
This is an insult in all shapes and sizes. How dare they desecrate my youthful television favorite with this racist characterizations. The people of color who signed up for and are behind this atrocity should be deeply ashamed to have their name associated with this crap. Talk about two steps back. J. B should know better but I guess the money was good. WTH Curry got to do with movies, stay in your lane dude. I am sure his dad watched the original as I did in Staunton but obviously he never shared the it with Stephan. Wonder what Dale thinks of this. Netflix should remove this as soon as possible. Absolutely nothing to see here! 👎🏿

Bob Marley: One Love
(2024)

Read the autobiography if missing the movie in between
For those too young to know and remember what Bob attempted as others also went thru to musically give us what we need to change our world watch this and for those who have long needed a reminder go see this. Another craft master gifted with the vibration whose knowledge continuously affects the world with the truth. We are all one people being oppressed in ways we drone thru every day unaware of or don't care enough about. Key of fellow Love and human touch is a key for us to survive and the greed of the few is written time and time again to fail/fall. One day if we all believe together it will undeniably shift. Love fellow love and more love.

Awaken
(2018)

Videography is fine but...
Wow! I really tried to fully enjoy this but fell asleep a few times while trying to finish. The cinematography is well and all but the drone of actors is what put me to sleep. Reminiscent of how Barney and Friends used too lull me while minding the my kids way back when. A true battle trying to finish this. There are better genre films out there to stimulate all your cortex's. Baraka (1992) and the series consisting of Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi and Naqoyqatsi. Involved in that series are Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas, Ron Fricke, Phillip Glass, Yo Yo Ma and Godfrey Reggio.

Nevertheless I did get eventually thru Awaken to give it a rating.

Amy Schumer's Parental Advisory
(2022)

What happened
WTH! How did a pool full of good to great comedians Netflix gathered all bomb so hard? Yeah, there was moments of giggles but it's like the Netflix check was so... idgaf that they spewed top of head goo. Maybe I am being too harsh cause there are a few gems in this new bout of Netflix conglomerate comedy specials.

Amy started this fiasco in her headliner from the start. Her richer than tho Schlick hurts in todays world. Happy life don't give a **** humor is old and unwelcome. She's rich and we get it. Glad for it and happy we helped you get there. Just wrong climate even sarcastically. Remember all the great humor when these comics were hungry vs the specials running now.

The greats learn from, build from, move on from, to not repeat again on their 'what did I just do for money moments.

Let's hope the comics showcased here and the rest of the Netflix's (help keep us alive service) can make us laugh past todays troubles again and not turn the handle to rotisserie us in this heat.

And yes it truly was A Netflix hAs become A Joke Festival.

Nikki Glaser: Good Clean Filth
(2022)

Darling Nikki Truthfully Raw
Nikki takes her sexual ideology to raw levels that is in a class very few female comediennes dare to go. She is a pioneer in blonde girl filth humor. Kudos to her for being so bold and holding it down this long with all the haters. Always enjoy her perspective & sexual truthful insight.

That Damn Michael Che
(2021)

Brace yourself and get your laugh on
Really enjoyed season one! Season two is on a whole nother (level). Laughed to tears completely until my ribs hurt! Took me back to the days of Richard played real low on album in the basement with friends till our laughter gave us up.

Theme alone is a very funny spoof. In the under currents it is great comedy! Che is hitting on a lot of issues all at once but with the wit that true comedians have and give us to move thru today's social storms.

X
(2022)

My childhood.
It hit every cliche of my being a child born in the 60's. Growing up enjoying all aspects and types of cinema from 8mm thru today's films. Enjoyed it fully.

If ya remember watch it. If ya don't give it a shot anyway!

Halo
(2022)

Could have been so much better
I really wanted this to be a good show after playing the games from the beginning. The storyline is decent but certain characters just serve no purpose and some of those actors are just way over the top which completely ruins a decent scene. It is a shame casting picked some of these non actors and ruined the chance for more seasons. Play the game instead!

Britannia: Vae Victis
(2021)
Episode 8, Season 3

Worst ending ever
Season three was the worst. This ending just gave up. Episode eight was phoned in by cast. Everyone was over acting on an already thin season on paper. Maybe the should have wrapped it all by end of season two.

Britannia
(2017)

3rd season killed the first two
My rating after the first two seasons was an eight! Then third season started driving my star rating down. Episode 8 being the worst of all. So dumb game of thrones ending. Should have quit watching way before...weak so weak. Shame on the writers. Most of cast was good but the 'one' was very annoying in all of this. Boooooo!

America Lost
(2019)

This is America
Having lived in two of these cities and family in all three, this doc is speaking some real truth to the state of America. What is surprising is how this crew got to some of the truths unknown to all outside of these communities. America has been sold and it's soul was lost long ago but yet it is the human in some that keeps it churning. Until everyone sees this the struggle is continuous.

Desus & Mero
(2019)

Comedy
Obviously all the one stars are from a certain side of the road in today's climate! Tho all is not greatly funny every episode, this is humor in the Bronx twist! Not all will understand, just move on back to joe and have a bud.

Hit-Monkey
(2021)

Kudos Marvel and Apple+
I personally think it is fantastic to see what Ted Lasso does in AFC Richmond's off season! One day the Marvel universe will tie all streaming existence together in one never ending binge. Give it a go!

Motel Mist
(2016)

No plot sometimes works
This movie follows its own format. Abstract beautiful cinematography can sometimes be great or at least good! Sometimes it is left up to your own interpretation. Many movies beforehand with the same format have become classics or at least of cult statues. Give it a shot, worst exist in film land.

Archer
(2009)

Great but last season
Always an Archer fan first and foremost but now his privileged buffoonery is old in our current climate. His non ability to change just gets under my skin these days! After the last rich baby man in control I just can't deal. Sorry Archer your done!

Count Me In
(2021)

Just people drumming without
The knowledge and appreciation of. Strictly white beats and more appropriation with a little bit of pepper to sell it.

Shadowplay
(2020)

A few good episodes
Started off great with the new after war angle but after a few episodes I found myself skipping ahead to better parts and scenes.

The Resort
(2021)

Utter garbage
Watched the movie in fast forward. That way I only lost 5 minutes out of my day.

Songbird
(2020)

Goofs
When Nico gets rescued from the armed sanitation goons after being shot, there is a production crew member holding a large mirror in corner of hallway for effects. Next shot the mirror is gone and he is now wiring something, bent over. This all is left in movie😀

Tenet
(2020)

Tenet the great drinking game
Monty Python: Some of you are going forwards some of you are going backwards. Chose your on direction to drink and don't forget the red or blue pill!
